The Lakers sale is an absolute shitshow, with Jeanie Buss reportedly voting AGAINST her entire family selling their 17.8% stake in the team

How Bad An Owner Was Jeanie Buss Historically?

I know that it is not completely over, but it feels pretty over. So, I think that it is fair to start looking at the Jeanie Buss era in historic terms. The results are not great.

When Jeanie assumed control of the Lakers in February of 2013, the Lakers were three seasons removed from back-to-back championships. The head coach was recent Hall-of-Fame inductee Mike D'Antoni. The roster included players who had been on the 2010 Championship squad, including Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. The GM was seven time champion (as an executive) Mitch Kupchak.

It was not a high water mark for the franchise in historic terms, but they would never have it as good again under her stewardship.

From 2000-13, the Lakers had a 663–387 (.631) record, won the Western Conference six times, and the NBA Finals four time (2001, '02 '09, and '10). The Lakers made the playoffs in 12 of those 13 seasons.

From 2013-26, the Lakers have had a 483–562 (.462) record, they won the Western Conference once, made the play-offs in only 6 of 13 seasons, and one Bubble Ring. That is a massive fall-off for the franchise. Everyone involved in the Lakers in 2013 has moved on at the behest of Jeanie Buss and has been replaced by people she hired.

So, how much of the blame for the collapse of the franchise belongs on her shoulders? Where does she rank among bad sports executives? Is there any chance that she takes her billions and goes home?

Winning 1 ring to deal with 8 years of LeBron ain't worth it

The drama, locker room tension, constant diva personalities, influence over roster decisions, and constant blame games were the worst moments.

It's a total black hole on Laker history. He's a cutthroat mercenary that goes from city to city terrorizing fans with his immature ego and persona.

He put his son on this team ffs.

You'd have to give me 3 rings to make it an even worthwhile process, but even then I wouldn't be happy. Having a toxic personality like Rich Paul courtside didn't help either.

Now you got Luka and a bunch of organic players and we can set a CULTURE of ACCOUNTABILITY.

There was no accountability when LeBron was here. Westbrook wasn't as bad we make him out to be but he was his worst when he played with LeBron because LeBron is genuinely a basketball terrorist. LeBron turns it into 1v9 heroball by playing the game his way and barking his teammates. Westbrook then went to Denver and was contributing when there was actually a championship-winning system there.

Yall ever see a Master Yi or Katarina main start inting 5 minutes into a game? That's the kind of toxic shit we have been dealing with LeBron. 1v9 type games.

LeBron has never defended in his life. He stands there 2 feet away from the basket watch guys dunk without doing anything.

It's always his disgusting body language shaking his head or pointing at teammates. He never accepts any wrongdoing on his part.

Yall realize how none of his former teammates f*ck with him? K Love, Kyrie, Chris Bosh, Anthony Davis...no coaches either: Blatt, Spo, Mike Brown, Vogel, Darwin Ham.

Dude is friendless except the boys he grew up with in Spring Hill. A sociopath.

Josh Kushner is not clean... Donald Trump Admin Hands $20B Mega-Deal to Anduril Weapons Group Backed by Jared Kushner’s Little Brother

It's even worse than I thought. People say he has nothing to do with Trump or his brother but it's undeniable now. That's why I said it wouldn't matter what political party someone aligns with.

Luka said the Lakers now have a better chance of winning championship after LeBron’s departure. Do you agree?

“We have a lot of respect for everything he brought to Los Angeles, but I think the team we have now fits us really well. We added a lot of guys who can defend, shoot and make plays, and I really like the balance of this group. I think we have a better chance to compete at the highest level and ultimately win.”

I told everyone that the Buss family (not the doctor) is primarily to blame for LeBron not winning more championships. They're a mess.

Because of their mismanagement and family problems, we're in this ridiculous situation, and to make matters worse, they're leaving us with Disney's Bob and the Trump family! Go to hell!
