The Old Oak Treant.
THE OLD OAK TREANT.
(May You Bloom series, Pt. 1)
Hi again, folks! I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I'd like to get back into the swing of things, and keep sharing some builds with y'all. This is the first post in a series of treants I've built for the #MayYouBloom challenge hosted by @bricksandfables over on Instagram. I tried to loosely base each of these treants off of a type of tree, though I'll admit that I'm certainly no dendrologist. I also did my best to give each treant a unique color scheme. This first treant is based on an old oak tree!
Though it is true that treants grow larger and stronger with age, it is also true that treants grow at different rates and paces based on their environment, just like their un-awakened counterpart. Here, we see a treant who is many centuries old, though his size wouldn't give it away. Despite his relatively small stature, this ancient and wisened plant is full of love for the forest around him and a commitment to protecting it.
Treants generally stick to the land that they know, though in times of great significance, they have been known to leave their native lands and gather with other treants to address larger issues that threaten their homes. This treant seems to be following the call of a fellow treant that beckons him out of his abode. I wonder who it could be..?
