I tried my hand at making improved stairs from the boathouse to the Great Hall. For the stairs and path I made two options: what they look in the official set and what I think they should look like. What do you think?
UPDATE: The MOC is now on Rebrickable. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-274068/hairywizard/magic-castle-stairs/#details
Such a cool set to build. Loved every moment of it. Had an important missing brick so I had to take it from one of my other sets but besides that, beautiful piece!
Absolutely not how it’s supposed to be positioned but I love it this way.
With all the controversy I feel morally guilty but I’ve got my eyes on the new ministry of magic and buying Lego second hand feels so weird to me. Is there a way I can buy HP Lego without compromising my morals?
Do you think they would have studied Muggle history in class? Should we integrate this Lego in a future Muggle studies classroom?
- Quad incomplet
…
Alors je me suis lancé.
Hi everyone on the Canadian website the burrow is back in stock I got an email saying it was so if you want it get it
It’s been a work in progress since 2020 (so longggg) so it would be mostly updates after video tours of what I’ve done so far. Is this a tired form of content or is it something you all would tune in to?
Hi everyone!
I bought (not built yet) all of the sets from the latest modular Hogwarts Castle (including the GWP). It's the only wave of the castle I own, and like a lot of people, I am extremely frustrated to see that it is not complete and apparently will never be. (If rumor are right, I really hope not, next yeah will start with another new wave based on the TV show).
Since I'm not confortable enough yet to make my own mocs from scratch, I would like your recommandations on the best mocs available made for that wave. I tried to find them by myself, but I had a hard time with the variety of code words used in the name, and the fact that so many mocs were made for the green wave and don't work anymore. Free or paying, both are fine. Self recommandations are welcome too.
I'm especially looking for :
- Clock tower
- Astronomy tower
- Bell towers
- any other major part of the castle that I forgot and isn't included in the current castle
And any modular room (compatible with the system) that you are a fan of. Whether they are rooms/scenes from the books or the movies (seen or mentioned) that you feel are really missing, like prefect bathroom, death party (given all the ghosts we now have), classrooms for things like Muggle Studies. Extensions of existing rooms (I don't know, a forbidden section for the library, Slughorn potion room, stuff like that), or even some existing rooms whose mocs are so much better than the orignial (the common rooms were so dissapointing), and anything else I may have forgot.
Basically, please help me imagine the most ultimate ultimate hogwarts castle that could be made if you had unlimited budget and space.
Thank you so much to anyone that will take the time to help me. ❤️
Planning to build it in real life and remake the box art with my own pictures, and the back too!
The build itself is from the amazing MOC of Hairywizard on Rebrickable, I am looking forward to receive all the parts I orderd recently (gosh it was near 500 euros thanks to deliveries).
The minifig selection is based of Order of Phoenix and Half Blood Prince, as those movies are the focus of this set (I thought it was logical because previous catle parts was about the first three films).
As there is no more common room to make, I add the Choir Ghost and Flitwick because of my choice of integrate the Music Classroom (there is 2 empty sliding slots for classrooms on the basement). So the ghost tradition can carry on!
Inside there is Trelawney classroom, Umbridge office, Slughorn party, Sinistra classroom, Astronomy top roof, Room of requirement and Music Classroom.
Sorry for using AI only to upscale the MOC pic as it was not really easy to tell anything, everything else is using photoshop as the good old days.
I'll show you everything once build! Stay Tuned!
Hi all, I was having some fun rebuilding some 2018 sets and saw the photograph in the back of the manual that showed the first three sets together! So I thought it would be fun to see what play I could get out of it (photography is a great excuse for play!). It’s actually really cool! I love the playability, I feel like they gave just enough of the characters to get you going.
I think next stop will be to dig out the next wave and see what happens, I have this idea of creating a Hogwarts from the 2018 sets by just incorporating each next set that comes after it. so for example, they eventually moved onto the chamber of secrets which was a new style. Perhaps that could morph into part of this castle … in ‘2018 style’ so to speak.
My personal nostalgia is strongest with these sets as I came out of my Lego dark ages with the 2018 sets.
I saw that both of these sets are potentially retiring at the end of 2026 and am trying to choose one to buy. If you had to choose one of the two, which one would you pick? I love the style and colours of Malfoy Manor and it is larger, however, I love the Prisoner of Azkaban and the details in Privet Drive. would love some opinions. Thank you!
Weekend well spent!
Added Dumbledore’s Phoenix 🐦🔥 to the collection.
Here it is: my expansion / upgrade of The Three Broomsticks, from Hogsmeade Village Visit. Since my last post, I've made a few small tweaks, but it's largely unchanged from my BL studio design. I will have to find another solution for my chandeliers, but for now, I'm sitting it on the shelf. I'm so happy with how it turned out!
Next, on to Honeydukes to save it from sticker hell.
Hi everyone!
I’m very excited to share my first LEGO Harry Potter MOC!
I’ve been working on an expansion of the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom from LEGO Harry Potter set 76463, adding extra space and details while trying to keep the style and scale consistent with the official LEGO Hogwarts sets.
This is my first attempt at creating and publishing a MOC, so I’d really love to hear what you think!
My goal is to create more Harry Potter MOCs and expansions for the current Hogwarts sets, allowing them to be expanded, modified and combined with the official sets.
The instructions are available on Rebrickable for anyone interested.
Any feedback, suggestions or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for taking a look, and I hope you like it!
So sort of figured out how to extend the side windows to the right size but have resigned to possibly picking up a second set as that seems to be the cheapest way to get more green windows. If any one else in the uk wants just the pottages build, mini figures and stickers from the set let me know, more images of the progress attached. I did end up making a bit smaller on one side as I was running out of grey brick and also remove the plate from the back of the floo network build in order to integrate it with the rest of the build
