A smart brick-Poké-party
I'm honestly surprised at how well they vibe with each other! So much fun

A fun set that fits perfectly my gaming nostalgia as I'm one of the 'Adults Welcome!' Seniors who grew up with a Game Boy and Pokémon Red in hand. So of course I spend some time during my childhood catching pocket monster. And Eevee was always one of my favorites, so it was really enjoyable to build this little fellow here.
The facial features including the mouth, eyes, and nose are also printed on, and the set doesn’t include any stickers. That’s a big plus for me and not a given for all LEGO sets. The legs, tail, head, and ears are all movable and adjustable, so you can pose Eevee however you like. There are also some little Easter eggs hidden inside: A colorful strip with eight differently colored plates, which are probably meant to represent Eevee’s various evolutions. At least, that’s my most obvious theory; I can’t think of what else they might be supposed to represent. But oh well, you won’t see them once it’s finished anyway.
In any case, the finished Pokémon is really cute, feels extremely sturdy in the hand, and looks great too.
I think they’ve really captured Eevee very well here (pun intended!)
I cant get the eevee set rn so I made one with the pieces i had available!
I didn't pick up Rayquaza on release because I didnt like the shape of the head. It looked too sleek and slender and Rayquaza's head on official artworks portrays a stockier head, with a much shorter snout and jaw. After waiting for awhile i decided to attempt it myself to fix the head
I've attempted to make the snout shorter in Bricklink studio whilst redesigning the outline of Rayquazas shape. I've tried to keep it with as little external parts as possible but i wont know until i physically make the set. This is my first time making a MOC so please feel free to drop any suggestions or ideas below on how I could improve this re-model.
Also note; Brick link hadn't updated some parts, so the printed eye pieces and back of the head slope are placeholders.
Ignore the fact that rayquaza looks a bit like a creep here…
Initially thought this set was unimpressive but I bought since it mirrored my second favorite card and I’m actually quite pleased. I don’t buy lego often anymore so this was a nice treat as well as complimenting my little pokemon display.
Finished the goodest fire boy this afternoon
I got this today and I recognise the berries some are just real world fruit like the grapes and bananas but the big purple one ( thanos head) and the blue one are a bit tricky. What do you think?
Thought this looked neat and wanted to share
Please and thank you!
It’s 1998. You start up your very first Pokémon game. Professor Oak calls you into his lab and says, “There are 3 Pokémon here! Haha! They are inside the Poké Balls. When I was young, I was a serious Pokémon trainer! In my old age, I only have 3 left, but you can have one! Choose!”
How could you choose? How could you know which one will hopefully be the shining star of your team? Will you even like their final form?
You take the leap and pick…
When I first saw the brick built Poké Balls in the new polybags, I knew I had to put together this iconic scene! This is modeled after Oak’s lab in FireRed and LeafGreen.
Who was your very first starter Pokémon?
Sets Featured: 72155, 72157, 72159
Minifigures potentially from (as I do not know specifics nor am i certain if the figures are complete): 71745, 71746, 71748, 71754
I got this set as a gift last week (purchased from Costco) and just opened it. When laying out the bags, I noticed i had a duplicate #4 bag and was missing the #2 bag. For anyone whose built the set, was this something you ran into and didn't have a problem completing? Or is this an error and needs to be returned? I'm just trying to do my due diligence before attempting to return. Thank you!
i was so happy when i saw this set was going to be a thing, and made sure to buy it on release day! he now resides next to the telly
also i am totally not trying to resist buying another one, i don’t need it. unless he needs a friend?
I didn’t really like the official Lego potion design from the poly bag, so I decided to make my own and expand the design to each version.
They are in line with size of the mini pokeballs so I think that’s nice. I made each slightly unique (even though I know the first 3 are suppose to look the same minus the color change).
Thoughts?
Third time I've dragged this community into a debate now — first when SMART Play was announced (very mixed!), then the week before launch, where honestly "None" ran away with the poll.
Well, they've been out a week. So how are we feeling now they're actually on shelves and in your hands?
Did any of the "none" crowd cave? Did anyone who went all-in have buyer's remorse? What's held up better than you expected — and what's fallen flat once the box was open?
If you picked something up, I want the lived-with-it verdict, not the launch-day hype. The set you nearly skipped that turned out to be the best of the bunch. The one you were sure about that's already back in the box.
Genuinely keen on your honest takes — putting a video together on exactly this, and your thoughts shape these more than mine ever do. 👇
