Absol: The Disaster Pokémon

It is a long-lived POKéMON that has a life-span of 100 years. It lives in a harsh, rugged mountain environment. This Pokémon very rarely ventures down from the mountains. Every time Absol appears before people, it is followed by a disaster such as an earthquake or a tidal wave. As a result, it came to be known as the disaster Pokémon.

My favorite Dark Type Pokémon from Generation 3! It had such a cool design and lore! This minifigure MOC was pretty straightforward, with the only things to keep an eye on was making sure the head wasn't too small for its body and that its body maintained that slender form. It's actually really interesting how similar in build Absol's body is to Wyrdeer's!

Umbreon: The Moonlight Pokémon The light of the moon changed Eevee's genetic structure. When darkness falls, the rings on its body begin to glow, striking fear into the hearts of anyone nearby.

Espeon: The Sun Pokémon Its fur has the look and feel of velvet. The Orb on its forehead glows when it uses psycho-power. By reading the air currents, it can predict things such as weather or its foe's next move.

This Pokémon MOC is Request Number 4! I'm very happy to finally get these two finished, as they took me around three weeks to figure out! I can't believe how hard these were to make, and it was mostly their heads! So, my guy who requested these as his favorites, wherever you are, I hope you love these! I made sure these have plenty of neck, ear, legs and feet, and tail articulation just to make them as poseable as possible! The slight obvious side-effect of this is that they're quite big compared to Brendan's minifigure, but I DON'T MIND! They look fantastic and cute and DONE! 🤣

Murkrow: The Darkness Pokémon

Feared and loathed by many, it is believed to bring misfortune to all those who see it at night. It appears near travelers to lure them into deep forests. It is said that when chased, it lures its attacker onto dark mountain trails where the foe will get lost.

I was inspired by u/weswakely's minifigure MOC of his Murkrow to make one myself! However, the first attempt ended up being too big, so that version will be called the "Alpha Murkrow" version, which you can see Brendan has had the misfortune of bumping into one...

My second attempt was more to miniature scale, which I've added a shiny version to!

Since the big Murkrow is so much bigger than the small Murkrow, I thought it would be fun to also add u/weswakely's version as well, so I guess we have a "Murkrow the Teeny", and "Murkrow the Previous Alpha"!

Drowzee: The Hypnosis Pokémon

A descendant of the legendary animal baku, which is said to eat dreams. It is skilled at hypnotism. If your nose becomes itchy while you are sleeping, it's a sure sign that one of these POKéMON is standing above your pillow and trying to eat your dream through your nostrils. Occasionally gets sick from eating only bad dreams.

A smaller and simpler-looking miniature Lego MOC, but equally as challenging as the Hypno, Drowzee's biggest challenge was its lower half. I'm happy enough with how it came out!

So that's it for the Drowzee line, unless Winds and Waves surprises us with a regional variant, divergent evolution, or new, third evolution!

Hypno: The Hypnosis Pokémon.

It carries a pendulum-like device. While searching for prey, it polishes the pendulum. The arcing movement and glitter of the pendulum in a Hypno's hand lull the foe into deep hypnosis. There once was an incident in which it took away a child it hypnotized.

Quite a challenging Pokémon to make into a MOC, considering he's a humanoid. Hypno's wide creeping stance had to be able to keep him upright and not fall backwards. The hinge brick not only helped me solve this balancing issue, but it also allows Hypno to have extra articulation in how he bends upwards and downwards (he can look like he's hunched over, asleep). Apart from that, his arms had to bend and be able to hold his pendulum, but not be disproportionately long, and be able to attach to the top part of a short torso that also had to have his iconic white neck ruffle.

All in all, Hypno is the most articulate miniature I've built! You can rotate its head, shoulders, arms, and wrists, as well as prick his ears upwards or backwards. You can bend him backwards or forwards, thanks to the hinge brick. You can have his legs open/ close from the hips. He has knee joints, so you can move the legs up and down, and rotate the legs from below the knees so his feet can be together or apart. You can even move the feet up and down!

Spiritomb: The Forbidden Pokémon

This Lego minifigure moc was fun to make thanks to Spiritomb's simple design and unique feature: its ghostly, 1,000-souled body can spin independently from its face thanks to the 2 functional spin plates I put on it! You can see that the face can remain riqht-side up even as the body rotates position! Thanks to the bar attachment to the modified brick, Spiritomb can also turn 360° to look all around it.

Don't get lost in the woods, or you might become part of it. And yes, you did see that same tree a while ago. Maybe you circled back around? Or maybe they're following you...

I realize this LEGO Pokémon MOC is another Ghost/Grass type! 🤣 But I can't help how cool and eerie Trevenant looks! Even his shiny form looks like a haunted crimson birch tree!

With moveable arms, head, torso, and legs, Trevenant has a lot of poseability! Enjoy this gif I made with Trevenant and two playful Phatumps stalking its next victim!

For day 1 of October, I present one of my favorite Ghost Type Pokémon as a miniature LEGO Pokémon MOC!

Incredibly fun to build, and imposing in size compared to Brendan, I was happy to see the LEGO anchor and ship steering wheel pieces could create the look of such an iconic Pokémon

You can even attach a chain to it to recreate its signature move: Anchor Shot!

And since this is one of my favorites, I also created a shiny version!

Sending September off with roses, here are the Rose Pokemon! Interesting enough, their shiny versions have dark roses that remind me of the kind of colors you'd see in the Mexican Day of the Dead, so it's quite fitting to welcome October, AKA da spookie month with these thorny flowers!

Relax and have some organic Berry Juice!

While trying to make Wugtrio, I accidentally made a precursor to a Shuckle! Shuckle looks great with the white Ring pieces!

Also, I was reached out by someone who felt my design was a little too similar to his, so I redesigned my Wugtrio to look more like the concept design, with the back Wugtrio peeking out and over from behind the boulder, while the other two peek out from under cracks on the sides of the rock. The new rock design looks more rocky and organic, thanks to an unorthodox building technique I created specifically for this moc.

As for Applin, this moc was kind of birthed from the techniques I learned from Shuckle and Wugtrio! I even built a little "out-of-the-apple" version of Applin! Looks like it's found an apple to burrow itself in while Shuckle was gathering berries to make juice for its Trainer!

Wow! So many minifigures! Today's a bit of a MOC jackpot, huh? Well, I've wanted to build a miniature Wormadam ever since I realized two weeks ago the quarter circle plate piece would be perfect for it. The trick was getting the front and back to connect. As for Mothim, I never built a Lego butterfly before, much less a miniature version of one, so Mothim's quadruple wings were already a hard challenge for me without also trying to incorporate his orange wing tips. This was definitely a trial by fire for me (hopefully Butterfree and Beedrill will be much easier by comparison!)

These Pokemon were Game Freak's start of weird and obscure methods to evolve Pokemon. In order to get either Huntail or Gorebyss, you needed to go out of your way to talk to an NPC after a Team Magma/Aqua story plot event near the end of the game in order to receive only 1 of 2 one-of-a-kind items in the game (DeepSea Tooth or DeepSea Scale) to give it to Clamperl as a held item when you trade it! Nothing in the game tells you this, and there's no other way to obtain a Huntail or Gorebyss if you can't trade!

Anyway, the simplest and hardest one to make here was Clamperl, simply because I wanted it to be smaller than its evolutions, but still have its three main details: the clam shells, the pink pearl, and the light blue muscles the pearl rests in. Lego doesn't make shell pieces that can close into each other, so I spent a long time trying to make Clamperl work before settling on this design. Huntail and Gorebyss were much easier to make, thanks to the tail pieces used for their serpentine bodies.

My second Pokemon minifigure request! It was actually either Latios or Latias, but I can't separate an iconic pair like that, so I made both! They are quite big to be minifigures, but I guess it's ok if they're legendaries you can ride around as you soar through the skies, like in ORAS!

I thought I could make Latias a copy of Latios, but she has some slight differences in bodies. Her wings are closer to her tail, her back leg flaps are singular and angled unlike Latios', and her back pattern is different.

I'm happy these miniatures have articulated arms and heads so you can pose them more than just their standard "jet flight" mode!

These two are the simplest evolution builds you can do, with a total of 8 pieces between the two of them!

Since they're floating Pokemon, they might need transparent Legos to prop them up.

Huh? A weird tree blocks the way! Oh! It's just a Sudowoodo! Hope you brought your Squirtbottle!

A fun miniature that started as something a bit bigger (so now you get to see both), and with a Bonsly to photobomb the picture!

This was my first requested Pokemon by Atuze, someone who himself also makes miniature Pokemon! The arms were definitely the biggest challenge in this build, but I'm very happy with how it turned out!

A WILD ELECTABUZZ HAS APPEARED!!!

Electabuzz is in my top 6 favorite electric type pokemon, and just one of my favorite designs of any Pokemon! His design is also what made it extremely difficult to make, especially that UFO-shaped head of his! The best part (apart from being able to find pieces that help create maintain as much detail in this small build as I could) was being able to make this to scale with a minifigure!
