Whatever you think of stuff going on abroad, some of this stuff is wild, especially if essentially their job as a borough is to sort the bins.

Hi all, Queen’s Road Peckham resident here. The past few weeks I’ve been getting horrible stenches of rotten garbage at random during the day&night. Sometimes so strong I need to close the windows, lovely during a heath wave.

Does anyone know why? I’ve been living here for 4years and this has never happened!

We’re in our mid-30s with a toddler and another baby on the way, and we’re seriously considering buying a house on the south end of the Corbett Estate.

I’d love to hear the honest reality of living there. We’re particularly interested in the family perspective (schools, parks, community, things to do with kids), but I’d also love to hear from people in a similar age group without children too.

What’s the overall vibe like year-round? We’ve only ever visited in the sunshine, so I’d love to know what it’s like through winter and day-to-day.

More generally, what do you love about the area, what do you wish you’d known before moving? Any roads to avoid?

Any posh grocery shops around Deptford? I'm staying in London the next couple of days and making a basque cheesecake for a party and need some edible flowers and rosewater for a sauce and to decorate
