Lifering Secular Recovery In-Person Meeting to Start Saturday, October 10th, at Living Proof Recovery Center of Gloucester County @ Rowan College of S. Jersey
Several months ago, I submitted a post regarding the ongoing effort to start a face-to-face Lifering Secular Recovery meeting in the Gloucester/Camden County area for those seeking an alternative peer recovery support group. Many contributors to this and other sub-reddits have expressed a desire to attend a recovery meeting that embraces varying paths to recovery.
If you are attempting to achieve or maintain your sobriety and believe in an abstinence-based, secular (non-religious), self-directed path forward, then this meeting is perhaps what you have been searching for.
Beginning Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 am, in association with the Living Proof Recovery Center of Gloucester County at Rowan College of South Jersey, there will be a 90 minute recovery "conversation" between peers on the path to recovery until Noon each Saturday.
This gathering will be topic-centered, with attendees encouraged to submit meeting topics, participate in the cross-talk which is an essential element of Lifering dialogue, encourage and assist each other to develop a unique Personal Recovery Plan, and to experience positive reinforcement as they achieve successes in their personal journeys.
