My original ribcage design

Spent months working on this rib cage wearable last year and it’s now my most popular design!! I’ve now added moss to the design.. I think I want to add a big bleeding heart in the center of the next one:)))

I’ve really been on a roll with my wearables in the last year. I’ve definitely found my niche!!

Finally finished!

I posted a couple months ago about not knowing how to finish my backdrop and ive finally finished.

To recap im very green to macrame but something possessed me into thinking I could make my own wedding backdrop and now im second guessing even using it.

I dont know if its just cause im sick of looking at it or if it is infact a bit naff?

My friends and family are too nice to tell me but I can always rely on strangers on the Internet to humble me.

No suggestions on how to make it better please,as im honestly done with it 😅

How to do the wrap

How are these done? I would love some tips. Are they wrapped with some sort of floss?
I think I can pull this off if I figure out the wrap. That perfect blunt cut may take a few tries 👍

I made a thing

This was my first time making a wall hanging that's worked horizontally, and I think it turned out nice. My biggest complaint is all the ends I had to knot at the back. What do you guys do to make it tidy?

Sympathy Gift?

I am visiting my dear sister in law next week. She is 65, just retired, and had just started thinking about plans to do with her hubby…. and then he suddenly died of a heart attack.

She is an awesome quilter, she even had one of her quilts published in a magazine! Sometimes I think people don’t appreciate macrame as a beautiful art. They think ‘hippy’, 60’s; outdated …. but all that and more is what I love about macrame! I know my sister in law would appreciate the beauty of the craft and treasure a special piece created especially for her in memory of her husband.

Any ideas on what I can create? I am experienced, but I still will need instructions. Any thoughts on this are SO appreciated! 🥹

Thank you!

Could I fix this with macrame cotton? Does anyone have tips or ideas on how to restring?

Hi! I have made lots of macrame projects in the past, and I’m trying to come up with ideas to fix this!

someone’s loose dog destroyed my rope swing. I’ve tried finding similar ones online but the ones I’ve seen are like $800 and want to try to see if I can replace the rope? Help?

Edit: sorry I didn’t include this initially; I don’t know whose dog it is. I caught the dog on my porch with the ring camera but I didn’t see much and I have no clue where the dog went…I was at work.

my first macrame!

Lately, I've been seeing beautiful macrame skirts on social media. So I decided to get into macrame and make my own! Now I am thinking about it's fringes. Should I tie it? If so, what knotting methods should I use? What would you recommend?

Rainbow backpack!

I was hoping to get this project finished before June and I managed to! I'm really pleased with the result. I wanted to use the backpack on daily basis so I designed it quite big - 42 cm tall, and the bottom is 30 cm x 15 cm.

I love the practicality, I love the pattern, I love the colours, I don't love how my fingertips hurt.

I used Colinea braided 5mm cotton cord, more or less 100m of each colour of the rainbow. Almost all knots are chinese crown knots.

Thanks to my bf for modelling ;)
