Vicki Lawrence

I was watching Diagnosis Murder and it had Vicki on there as a character named Kitty and she murdered a character named Carl. Fun coincidence? Thelma husband was also named Carl.

"Now hear this" discussion

In this episode, Vinton, Naomi, and Bubba get an intercom for Naomi and Vinton's on the way baby. It's a pretty solid episode. Though the conflict is so obvious and yet nobody suspects that they're being eavesdropped on despite the fact that Thelma has been using the intercom for eavesdropping all day. Vinton, Naomi, and Bubba don't even consider that when they talk behind Thelma's back and Thelma doesn't even think they her family might be listening in on her when she's shit talking them to Iola. Thelma also doesn't pick on the very obvious hints the others give her that they did in fact hear everything she said about them.

Iola's been reading the Arts & Craft Section of Soldier of Fortune again.

Should she send one of these with Bubba?

"Got all dressed up and I forgot my purse." 👛

I'm so glad Thelma stood up to those stuck up dames. Bubba was hilarious in this episode

Vinton didn't deserve to join the cobras

He was being an ass to Naomi, kicking her out of their bedroom so he can practice memorizing his initiation. He also skips his romantic dinner with her to fix his cobra uniform with Iola. He should've known how important that dinner was for her. Part of me wanted Thelma to successfully sabotage his chances of getting into his secret club because he was being such a jerk. But they invented a bullshit reason why he has to get into the club because otherwise he'll be an outcast from everyone else in town. I don't think I'd even care that much if Vinton apologized to Naomi but he didn't. He's just the worst dude in this family and a sometimes terrible husband.

Did Vinton have Autism?

Vinton was in his fifties on the show but behaved like a little boy and showed a remarkably low level of intelligence, I used to think that he was mentally retarded but is it possible that he just had Autism?

He seems to be on the spectrum and never shows any adult behavior beyond sucking up to momma

Thelma the burger boy

Not saying she did the right thing but her meltdown was understandable, the fast food industry is tough. I really just blame her manager for hiring a woman he knew nothing about solely because she seemed charming, that's on him. Also getting frustrated that his senior citizen employee isn't as fast as his teeange worker is wild. I know Thelma was responsible for her own actions but I also blame Iola, Vinton, and Naomi for pushing her buttons. Especially Vinton who yelled at her for not giving him something that isn't even on the menu, then trying to guilt trip her by saying that she'd feed strangers but not her own son. Grow up Vinton...
