Park playgrounds

I remember as a kid, I didn't consider the park to be an actual park because it didn't have a playground. I guess a playground was my only real criteria for what qualifies as a park. Apparently the park does have a playground, which is shown in "Temp Check".

Pauline and the New Donk City festival

At first I thought Pauline should be uncomfortable with the idea of the festival because it serves as a constant reminder of the day she was kidnapped. Something she developed PTSD over. Though now I don't think this is how Pauline sees the festival, she instead views it as a symbol of triumph. Marking the anniversary she and the city was saved from a terrible ape. She's proud to preserve her city's history and embraces her traumatic experience and I think that's very powerful and mature of her.

Ever notice how TTG made itself worse by calling out critics?

For awhile, I just thought TTG was a lighthearted show that doesn't care what anyone thinks of it but something changed, they became more insecure and meta. They take multiple episodes even to this day that are entirely about how much this show sucks and how stupid it is. They do weird jokes like telling the audience that we're the weird ones for watching them, making Control Freak a strawman to represent older teen titans fans, and they also once used a real make a wish kid as a deflection to criticisms which is definitely the most fucked thing the show has ever done. This whole situation just gives off the vibes that they were stuck in a hole and dug themselves deeper into it by trying to address the critiques.

Not making fun of the fat characters

This is something that I feel SU isn't praised enough for, Steven was just a chubby thirteen-year-old boy. Making him a very unconventional hero, yet his build was never really a recurring joke within the show from what I remember. He was just a kid who happened to be fat, they've shown Steven having a love of eating but that was never the punchline. I feel like more cartoons aimed at children should be like that.

Vaggi is not "The boring one"

I think there are fair criticisms for Hazbin Hotel and even Vaggi as a character but I don't think she's boring. A former prejudice angel who was reformed by kindness and love? That's so interesting! It's an unpopular opinion but I think Vaggi has the most interesting lore. I do hope that in the future, she'll have more to do than just be Charlie's girlfriend. I love her and Charlie together but I do see where some people are coming from when they say this. She's very loyal and supportive but that's pretty much all we see from Vaggi most of the time, she has her own motivations for fighting for the concept of redemption but I honestly want to see her do other things too. Like what she does in her free time for example.

Where Peach came from

When she was first talking about not knowing her original home or family, Mario suggests that she might be from his world and Peach was open to that idea. Though she also says that it's a big universe out there so I guess that was meant to foreshadow Rosalina being her sister. I thought Peach actually was a human who ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom. Maybe her dad worked in a sewer of another town or city and he brought toddler Peach along but she ended up wandering off and getting transported to another world. I kinda like my idea better but hey, I at least have my fanfic where Peach has a long lost human family.

Darwin and Carrie

I do really like these two together don't get me wrong, but I thought these two becoming a couple came out of nowhere. Darwin was just kinda shown having feelings for Carrie in the Ghostbusters parody and apparently he just always had a crush on her. It wasn't like Gumball and Penny who were set up since the beginning. I always saw Darwin and Carrie as just friends before this episode. I'm not saying Gumball and Penny are a better couple than these two, I'm saying it just kinda happened but it's still a genuinely good ship. I love the idea of a naive optimist and a cool goth girl dating.

Connie was allowed to be mad at Steven

Remember when people said it was bad writing for Connie to be upset with Steven for almost getting himself killed by surrending to Aquamarine and Topaz? She wasn't really even that mad, just needed time to herself to process everything. That's a good message on mental health the way I see it, I've seen people say that she should've asked Steven how he was doing after getting back to Earth. You don't really act rationally sometimes when you're not in a good headspace. I didn't like seeing Connie getting written out of the story for a little bit but it made sense for her character.

The difference between Inner Willow and Inner Belos

The inner selves to me seem to be at least a little different from the witches they reflect. Inner Willow for example was vengeful, bitter, and enraged by Amity for all she put Willow through. While it's true that Willow did have suppressed negative emotions due to how she's been treated, but she never really resorts to violence towards her classmates. Especially not Luz and Amity. This makes me think that these mind guardians do have independence and freedom despite being the inner personifications of a certain witch. Inner Belos though is the exact opposite of Inner Willow, he's just as cold, cruel, and uncaring as regular Belos. He just feels like a carbon copy of Belos which makes sense because Belos's mind is the most fucked location in the whole show as it reflects how dark and evil Belos is as a person.

Grace is deaf (Joke.)

In "The mall car", an apex member approaches Jesse and Grace about a denizen he discovered. He says "We found a null, don't know if it's dangerous.". When we cut back to these guys after Lake's subplot, Grace asks "Is it dangerous?". Girl, he just said they don't know! I'm joking obviously, it's not actually a big deal to me. I just like to think that Grace either wasn't listening or was only half listening to her teammate's warning.

Sacred Couch

This is definitely the most frequently disliked episode I've seen from other people and I can see why. The family has a very unhealthy relationship with their old couch, especially Linda. Not wanting to say goodbye to it because of all the memories she had with it. Why isn't the moral of this episode "Letting go of things you have fond memories of is hard but you can always make new memories."? I feel like if the episode had a message like that, it would be a little less hated. People would still find Linda annoying in that episode though. But at least that would help instead of the belchers going back for the old couch.

The fandom has a weird interpretation of Celestia and her love of cake

It's really just a joke for one episode, the one where the cutie mark crusaders are collecting gossip of everyone in town. Including the princess for some reason, the only other time that I can think of where Celestia having a sweet tooth is relevant is the cake murder mystery episode where Celestia is the judge of the sweets competition Pinkie Pie and the cake family entered. The fans ran with this idea though because soon in fanon, all Celestia does is eat cake and is completely obsessed with it. It's the only thing that's ever on her mind. I get it because it is a funny idea that this regal and composed character actually has a sweet tooth. I just wanted to point this out.

The potluck disaster could've been avoided

All Merian and Phineas had to do was tell Hop Pop ahead of time that Star was going to pop out of the cake and cast a spell. That way he wouldn't be startled and everyone else could just enjoy the surprise. Weird they didn't do that in their many attempts to fix the potluck.

Bob and Louise garden episode

The episode "Late afternoon in the garden of Bob and Louise" is from what I heard a not very well liked episode. The criticism I heard for it is that Bob would never make Linda and Louise be around Logan and Cynthia because he knows they can't stand those guys. I know Bob is usually a goated father but we can't forget that he's not perfect. He makes mistakes just like anyone else, I think he would do something selfish just this once so he could get into that community garden club. He sacrifices a lot for his family and works hard for them so I wouldn't see why he wouldn't want to do something nice for himself without thinking how it would impact Louise and Linda.

The gems not understanding jokes

It's something I find really endearing. Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl don't understand basic jokes. Steven told them a knock knock joke in "So many birthdays" but they just thought Steven was lying. I know that's obvious to everyone, I'm just stating my appreciation for this bit.

Equestria Girls should've had a proper ending

Equestria Girls is a mixed bag for a lot of people, some see the spinoff as a classic while others just see it as a corporate mistake that was just mooching off of the main series. I honestly think what makes things worse is that MLP had a solid and even a little emotional ending while Equestria Girls just kinda ended. On a random ass winter special, what if we had a finale where the girls are graduating from high school and getting ready for college? The sad thing could be that they're all going to different colleges and won't see other for awhile. They could split up kinda like how Twilight and Spike moved out of town and won't be around their friends as much in the main show. I think it would've been bittersweet having characters in both shows growing up and moving on with their lives. Instead, Equestria Girls didn't do anything significant in the grand scheme of things.

Skips' Luau review (Regular Show: the lost tapes.)

Other than the elephant in the room, I had a good time with both episodes but I think the hype I felt was mostly just because Regular Show is back. I liked "Fix that tape" a lot more but we're just going to focus on "Skips' Luau". I like how Benson mentions he's been in therapy now, seems like a great way for him to be getting anger management lessons. I think the story is pretty entertaining, and I like the plot about Skips' burgers with his secret ingredient. One of my favorite things about the original Regular Show was wanting to try all the foods in this series. The eggscellent omelet, the donuts from the donut shop, anytime they had burgers, and even the birthday cakes from "Take the cake". I'm proud to say that I would want to try Skips' pineapple burgers too. Though the only two things I didn't enjoy the running gag where Mordacai and Rigby go "🎶Luuuuaaauuu🎶" and waving their arms around to show how excited they are for the luau. It's a nitpick maybe but it was just kinda annoying which is surprising because I never found Mordacai and Rigby annoying before. I also did not like Benson's girlfriend in this episode, Gretchen I believe. Her whole character is just that she's horny. She gives Benson bedroom eyes and does literally nothing except flirt with him then immediately leave him for a man she loved that she thought died named Doghouse. Pam and Audrey were better love interests for Benson I feel because they had personality. Yeah Audrey was just the nice and sweet neighbor but at least that was something. I don't remember anything memorable about Gretchen other than her and Benson being freaky towards each other.

The fairy talents

This was my first experience with sorting characters into specific groups and I love the idea that your job as a fairy depends on the skills you were naturally born with. I like how there's way more talents than just water, animal, garden, light, fast flying, and tinker too! There's also baker, storyteller, librarian I think, and so many others!

New story beats for my original magical girl story (Dark Evie and magical enbys.)

This is the lore I came up with today, I hope you like it. It is kinda a typical magical girl storyline so far so I'm hoping these ideas will make it more interesting.

Non-binary heroes- I thought it'd be nice if there's more than just magical girls and magical boys running around. In my lore, Josie is once told a story by her older brother Mason of enchanted items that give users the ability to transform into a superhero. Some users are boys, some are girls, and some are neither.

Servant Evie- In this story, Evie a.k.a Ribbon Thread will eventually betray her friends Josie, Fiona, and Julie for the main antagonist Mora. It makes sense for this character in particular too because although Evie is caring, shy, and gentle...she also has a bad home life and is bullied relentlessly in school. The people around her genuinely prefer her when she's Ribbon Thread, not as Evie. It makes sense for her to become angry and bitter at the world and not want to protect it anymore. It's not the right thing to do obviously but I don't think her becoming a traitor would be OOC for her. The dark implications are that these girls always kill Mora's henchmen and would have to kill Evie too if things become that dire with her. They'll be really distraught about that too because these girls are inseparable with Evie and would not want to hurt her, let alone kill her. I also don't see this very often where a magical girl intially fights for good but ends up turning evil.

I was told that my fic reminds them of The Boys (It's nothing like The Boys.)

I'm not offended, I take it as a compliment. I just think it's funny because my fics are lighthearted in comparison to "The Boys", in mine the day is always getting saved by friendship, family, and heroism. Everything always ends happy too, I just like happy endings. It's just that some of the heroes here are questionable people. There's always a clear good guy and villain but I do have morally grey characters and dark storylines. I like it challenge myself and others so it's not like everything that happens in these stories are all sunshine and rainbows but it's not really that edgy either.
