Hot Take: Queen Angella Should've Been Revealed She Was Alive In Season 5 And Chipped By Horde prime

Now, I Know It Would Been Very Controversial But Hear Me Out, It Would Be A GREAT Oportunity To Show Horde Prime's Ability To Open Portals To Despondos And Finding A Queen Angella NEAR DEATH (And Missing One Wing) As He Would Claim He Could "Fix Her" And Chipped Her In The Process Giving Her Artificial Wings With Designs Similar To The Vulture's Jetpack From Spiderman: Homecoming. Now Whaddya Think? (A. I Was Gonna Make THis Post Sooner But I'm A Lazy B4ST4RD. 2. I Write With Caps At The Start Cause............... IDFK.)

Why Catra, Adora, Glimmer, Bow, Mermista, Perfuma, Entrapta, and Netossa are my favorite comfort characters from SPoP.

Catra because her arc through SPoP is so compelling, complex, and interesting. Plus, I love that she's so she's very cool, clever, sassy, somewhat flirty, no-nonsense, fiery, feisty, teasing, hot, an all-around badass, and cute.

Adora because I also relate to her, in terms of being a people-pleaser, being somewhat of a perfectionist, being very smart, but also being very socially awkward and having no social awareness, being a dork, and having universal empathy and spunk.

Glimmer because I understand what it's like to have a complicated relationship with your mom who loves you because I have a complicated relationship with mom who loves me just as much as I love her. I'm also very rebellious, impulsive, reckless, but also sweet and enthusiastic. I also love anything cute and feminine even though I have a tomboyish side.

Bow because he's a bean, and I want to have a friend like him in real life one day.

Mermista because she is such a relatable mood, and I also have a very snarky and deadpan sense of humor. I love characters who have the "Ugh! I'm tired of this shit" energy because it's so me. Plus Mermista reminds me so much of Mai from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Raven from the 2003 Teen Titans animated series.

Perfuma because of her nature powers, and I love nature. And I also love that she values vulnerability as being human and as strengths, not as inherent flaws or weaknesses.

Entrapta because I'm a weird nerd who loves technology and science, along with literature, sociology, psychology, biology, and more.

Netossa because she's such a Girl Boss who psychoanalyzes people, like me.

Are there any older She-Ra fans out there ?

I’m 28 now, and I watched SPOP for the first time when I was 23. At the time, I already felt like I was on the older compared to most of the fans I came across on Twitter. Even now, I still mostly see younger people talking about it.

I’m genuinely curious, are there others like me who discovered the show a bit later or are just a bit older in general?

It’s kind of interesting how a show can feel like it belongs mostly to a younger audience online, but still resonate deeply with people who didn’t grow up with it or weren’t part of the initial wave. Even already being in my 20s, the show was the reason I could finally came out as a lesbian.

If you’re also in your mid/late 20s or older and love She-Ra, I’d love to know I’m not the only one.

Season 5 Catra with her pixie cut and hero heroine era is so beautiful and cute. But season 4 Catra with her long hair, her femme fatale vibes, and her villain era is very hot and alluring.

Either way, she's still Catra. And she's always beautiful and stunning.

Who are your comfort characters from the show?

For me it's these 2. Including Spinnerella but mostly Netossa. Kind, badass, kooky, loyalty, assuring things are gonna be okay. IDK but I always felt comfort with them. Who wouldnt wanna hug Scorpia?

"About that? I think I might have an idea." - Catra (Season 5 episode 8 "Shot in the Dark")

OMG!

It's so cool and so sweet seeing Catra use her intelligence, wits, and cunning in the better direction.

I love that she comes up with an idea for her and the Best Friend Squad to get past Horde Prime's forces back to Etheria without being noticed.

With the help of Melog, who Catra meets, interacts with, empathizes with, and befriends in the same episode; "Shot in the Dark".

Also, the way Catra said "About that I think I might have an idea." with her voice lower and smooth, and the confident look on her face is very hot and sexy.

Glimmer's imaginary version of Catra in the "Roll With It" episode is very attractive.

I think it's mostly because of her dress with the leg slit and heels.

Her dark lipstick.

Her hair.

And ESPECIALLY because of her sultry voice (AJ Michalka always slays!) with a sophisticated British accent.

Also, because Glimmer's version of Catra is and speaks like a total femme fatale villain from one of those James Bond movies.

Catra being threatened, intimidated, and grabbed by Shadow Weaver and later Horde Prime as a result of doing her best to protect Adora.

It's so icky, creepy, skin-crawling, and very sad.

The fact that Catra went through this because she was trying to protect Adora is so sad.

Also, obligatory F for both Shadow Weaver and Horde Prime for them mistreating and taking advantage of Catra!!!

Usually, it's Adora who is the protector and a defender for Catra.

But Catra is, deep down, also a protector and a defender for Adora.

I also want to say that when I saw Horde Prime grab Catra by her face, jaw, and chin while she was forced onto knees and her arms are tied up behind her back at the end of the "Corridors" episode, not only did I feel sick to my stomach, but I was also like in my mind in utter silent rage, "Get your cold, filthy hands off of her or I swear to Mara, I'll unnecessarily throw hands, make you permanently mute, and no one in the entire universe will hear the sound of your own voice ever again!"

Same for Shadow Weaver too!

I love Glimmer's speech to her chipped/mind-controlled father in the "Heart Part 2" episode series finale of SPoP so much!

I don't know what to say other than that it's very empowering, emotional, inspirational, and badass.

Karen Fukuhara's vocal performance as Glimmer during the scene is phenomenal!

Here's Glimmer's speech.

Glimmer: "My mother raised me to be brave. My friends taught me to be kind. And I'm stubborn. I get that from you. I will never stop fighting! And I won't lose another parent! I love you, Dad."

Catra's adorable sneeze, and Bow fawning over how cute Catra is peak comedy gold!

It's so cute and funny.

Especially with this exchange between Catra and Bow;

Bow: "Aww. That's your sneeze?"

Catra: "What?"

Bow: "It's just so...cute!"

Catra: "It's a normal sneeze!"

Bow: "I can't believe the whole time you were trying to kill us, you had the cutest sneeze of all time!"

Catra: "I AM NOT CUTE!"

Bow: "The angrier you get, the cuter you are!"

And that scene is from season 5 episode 8 "Shot in the Dark", one of my favorite episodes from SPoP!

Marcus Scribner and AJ Michalka as Bow and Catra respectively have great platonic chemistry and get comedic timing.

Also, Bow represents the SPoP fandom, myself included, in that scene when it comes to our love for Catra.

I also think that Bow did that just to tease Catra.

XD!

Why Catra is my number 1 favorite character from SPoP. And why she's one of my favorite female characters in animated media.

I love nearly every character from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

But there was something about Catra that made me fall in love with her character.

Maybe is was because of her cool cat-like design.

Maybe it was because of her heterochromic eyes; one blue and the other yellow, which looks like blue and yellow sapphires.

Maybe it was because of her wild and bushy brown hair; long or short. Which is similar to my dark brown 4C hair that's currently very short and shaved on the sides and back.

Maybe is was because her main colors are red, maroon, and black, which are on my my favorite characters.

Maybe is was because of her snazzy outfits.

Maybe is was because of her rebellious, tough, outspoken, blunt, sassy, clever, snarky, competitive, witty, ambitious, driven, no-nonsense, fierce, spunky, and feisty personality.

Maybe it was because of the way she fights with no powers or tech. Just her skills in hand-to-hand combat, weaponry, sheer spit, manipulation tactics, high intelligence, cunning, and play chess with her opponents are playing with checkers.

Maybe it was because personality wise, Catra reminds me so much of Megara from Hercules, Cassandra from Tangled: The Series, Sunset Shimmer from the Equestria Girls franchise, Nebula from the MCU, Ziva David from NCIS, Amanda Rollins and Kat Tamin from Law and Order: SVU, Elle Greenway and Emily Prentiss from Criminal Minds, Aisha and Musa from Winx Club, Prue and Phoebe from Charmed, and Arcee from Transformers Prime.

Or maybe is was because of her raspy, authoritative, smooth, velvetly, sultry, and soothing voice; courtesy of the amazing AJ Michalka.

Which yes, I love Catra for all of those!

The real reason why I love Catra as a character is because I relate to her in a way.

As a young mixed black woman who's currently in my early 20s, I've always struggled a lot.

With my loving, yet complex and somewhat toxic relationship with my mom.

To making bad decisions and mistakes nearly every day.

To my mom (who was born in the 70s and was raised in the hood of Chicago through her childhood) often mentioning my past wrongdoings and mistakes during my teen years and now.

Even comparing me to others such as my older brother, trash male celebrities, other mental disabled individuals who act more childish, are immature, obnoxious, are not very bright, and loud, a Decepticon at one point.

My mom often calling me selfish, disrespectful, difficult to live with, defiant, lazy, says that I'm "dangerous" and "unstable" if do don't take my medication like I'm supposed to.

On top of that, I'm neurodivergent who's also diagnosed with Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, and I recently discovered that also I have RSD (Rejection Sensory Dysphoria) through the Internet.

So yeah, I've been dealing with my own metal health issues since I was a kid.

Plus, I have abandonment issues.

The people in my life that I know and care for either left me for their understandle reasons, or haven't communicated with me for months such as my Dad, whom I'm very close it.

I'm not a very social person, but I have a longing for wanting a close friends that's able my age.

But I'm scared of socializing and opening my heart because of four personal reasons;

  1. I'll be misunderstood, and I'll be unfairly and harshly judge.

  2. Other won't be on my level of maturity and high emotional intelligence.

  3. They won't like the real me. They'll only like the surface level.

  4. They'll leave me, just like nearly every one else in my life did."

To me, it's better to put up a smart-alleck, aloof, snarky, sassy, mature, cold, and emotionally detached front as a shield than to let other people in so I won't get hurt again.

So whenever Catra makes bad decisions, or says something hurtful, I understand and don't hate her for any of those things, because because I've been there and done that.

It's what makes Catra feal so real, flawed, human, relatable, and 3rd dimensional.

When will Shera come to Peacock, if ever?

The Epic Tale of Captain Underpants was removed from Netflix in January and next month it was put on Peacock. Shera was removed from Netflix in February and it's still not on Peacock. I didn't bother pirating episodes because when I found out Captain Underpants was on Peacock I was assuming the same thing would happen for Shera but it didn't. I just wanna calmly aks people without any frustration if Shera will ever come to Peacock. Or is DreamWorks not gonna do anything?
