Suspension tomorrow
Chances of suspension? Idk if I should luwas to Manila or not today
Chances of suspension? Idk if I should luwas to Manila or not today
I already submitted my tasks/activities for all of my courses, but when I checked Blackboard today, my previous submissions are no longer showing up. It’s like the tasks I already submitted are suddenly missing (as in sa lahat ng course)
What’s more concerning is that one of my tasks was marked as overdue even though I had already submitted it before the deadline. Thankfully, I have screenshots/proof of my submission, (tho d ko pa sure if tatanggapin hahaha) but it’s honestly such a hassle if I have to re-upload everything again.
Could this be a Blackboard system issue/glitch? Has anyone experienced something similar, and were your submissions eventually restored?
Any help would be appreciated 😭
Nag announce na yung malacanang
Sorry wala
Helloo does anyone know if how much is the sticker and how often do they release them😭
what the hell is wrong with this school?
yesterday, umulan nang malakas when me and my friends went outside. when we got back inside the campus, we were literally soaking wet. we went back inside the campus and stayed in a room where our department usually stays just so we could dry ourselves for a while. sobrang basa namin, and our feet were already wet and mabaho, so we took off our shoes temporarily.
then this guard came in and told us to leave.
honestly, nakakagalit. Nakita na nga nila yung kondisyon namin—basang-basa, nangangatog, and literally trying to dry ourselves—and pinaalis pa rin kami. I understand na “utos lang” daw, but that doesn’t make the situation any less fucking frustrating. At some point, you would expect even a little consideration from the people directly dealing with students.
I argued with the guard and explained na we were only going to stay for a couple of minutes para magpatila at magpatuyo.
And this is exactly why I’m pissed, not just at the guards, but at the entire system that apparently thinks this is an acceptable way to treat students. Except sobrang lamig sa library, and apparently students were also being asked to leave there. So saan talaga kami pupunta? Outside? Back into the rain? We were already fucking soaked and freezing. What were we supposed to do?
We weren’t trying to occupy the room for hours. We weren’t disrupting a class. We weren’t doing anything inappropriate. We literally just wanted somewhere dry and sheltered to stay for a couple of minutes while we dried ourselves.
This is where I genuinely question the management of this school. Who comes up with these policies and thinks they make sense in actual situations? Because if the response to students being soaking wet from heavy rain is to kick them out of a sheltered room and send them somewhere that’s equally uncomfortable, then maybe the policy needs to be fucking reconsidered.
Rules are important, sure. But rules without common sense are just ridiculous. There should be some kind of consideration for situations like this. If students are visibly wet, cold, and trying to dry themselves, surely there can be an exception for them to stay somewhere for a short period of time. And we literally pay tuition. Obviously, that doesn’t mean we own the fucking campus or get to break every rule we want. But the least we should be able to expect is a school environment where basic student welfare is actually considered.
What pisses me off is how everything becomes “policy” and “utos” the moment students ask for a little consideration. Parang mas importanteng masunod yung rule kaysa tingnan kung reasonable ba talaga yung ginagawa. And yes, nakakagalit din yung guards because they were the ones standing there and telling us to leave despite seeing the situation firsthand. But the bigger issue is that the school has created an environment where this is apparently the appropriate response in the first place.
Management needs to understand that students are not just people who need to follow instructions. We’re actual fucking people who sometimes get caught in the rain, get cold, get tired, and need a little consideration. Hindi naman kami humihingi ng special treatment. We were literally just asking to dry ourselves. If even that is too much to give students, then what the hell are we actually paying for?
universities are already announcing suspensions for tomorrow and then there's mapua, always relying on LGU! this school has been a hellhole and now they are making it even worse by not considering the condition of their students!
And whether is it true na nagre-revolve lang siya around wiley exercises niya? Advance thank you po :')
whats the craziest thing u did to pass the subject may it be directly or indirectly?
i'll start by forgetting my thesis subject so i can pass a certain math subject, it worked but i barely passed my thesis subject too
So i can plan my commute na tomorrow hahahah
Hi, I'm applying for the Big 4 kasi. I added MAPUA na rin as one another choice.
Are you guys that stupid?? or are you asleep by any chance?? You guys only choose to suspend classes when everybody is in deep shit. I came home from school with flood almost on my knees in my street. Can we not be more proactive and make a decision earlier?? And dont even get me started with these idiots suspending classes for SHS but not College. What makes it any different for them? Are we not affected by this shit too? Are you guys obnoxious ignorants?
Yes, gets ko they have been like that eversince pero wala manlang silang kahit kaonting sympathy sa mga students nila???
Ganito ba talaga dito?
I honestly hate the amount of waiting we have to do before they even suspend it. I know its not mapua’s fault but like damn its so annoying that I have to commute through rain and floods just to get to school and hear that its suspend. I could have studied and done my work at home but now i’m stuck having to commute my way back home again and it’s so stupid. I wish and I just wish they have to experience this cause I am so tired of doing this over and over again these past few weeks. We have forecast for crying out loud if we’re going to suspend cant we just all agree to having sync class if catching up to the calendar is whats important cause at this point I’m more likely to get sick and miss so much in class than understanding the stuff these lgu’s are doing. Honestly suspend in the middle of the day? for what? when half of the students are already at campus why suspend then? force them to go home in the rain? This is so annoying.
Mapua definitely has the information kung saan nakatira mga Mapuans, I'm sure na possible i-calculate kung ilang Mapuans are affected by the weather. I'm also sure na may technology tayo for synchronous classes considering we regularly have synchronous sessions every week.
Di ko gets. Bakit laging iniintay LGU announcement when Mapua itself has the power to shift classes to an online modality?
Affected Mapuans, please feel free to share your experiences on the untimely suspensions here too.
