What is your thoughts on works that diegetically introduce sexuality in a way where removing it will actually kill the soul of the work?

>!gonna spoil some things but, I'm single and by certain standards a virgin. For reasons that should be odvious, I'm not in the right head space to be in a relationship nor do I wish to seek one given current trends that concern me. Basically, I don't want to be hurt in any way for real hence why I explore things like romance, sex, and other relationships through fiction !<

I've been thinking that a lot of media, especially in the mainstream, doesn't seem explore sexuality faithfully that it ends up lacking in eroticism.They want the titillation for marketing, but they sanitize it so much that nobody feels like a real person experiencing real desire. It’s just static eye candy designed for an outside viewer, which is why it feels so hollow and forgettable. I know not all media needs to be sexual by default but i appreciate it when it does happen and happens well because the pieces fit together instead being jammed to fit one whole.

I think one of the reason I wanna get good at art is because I want depict sexuality in a way that's loving, grounded, and believability instead all this mindless spectacle or dull sanitization. Clearly if no one wants to do it than the onus falls on me, online backlash over honest sexuality be damned.

Female Martians from Mars Needs Moms

Don’t know if this one applies to the subreddit, since I feel this is ambiguous. I personally really like the designs due to the digitigrade legs and pretty faces, but I can’t help but feel like this was made by a bunch of gooners. Especially the MC has a very defined butt that rubs me the wrong way when the background soldiers are flat. And the thigh gap. I can go on. Still, the SISS (Security) armor designs are pretty cool

I wanted the first images to be the gradual appearance of what she is supposed to look like as we course through the cartoony and loony aspect of the character.

So overall, she has backstory of an attractive Shut-In / Girl Failure type woman. Which realistically isn't supposed to be her appearance. But even though she appears conventionally healthy ... like at least the artist does not design her mostly for ogling. She's quite conservative in terms of appearance.

Her attitude and characterization really focuses on her more ... Internet 16 hours a day type vibe. She's weird, impulsive, and ditzy. No brains, all memes. Like a huge disconnect from what we see to what she is.

And the Nhim.Art really shows that her weirdness very much overtakes whatever sexual nature she has. Although I will say, there are some classic anime / manga gags. So I do surmise that Nhim.Art is not western originated or is a huge fan of such comedy.

Still, I think it is a really nice scroll through Instagram for something cute yet weirdly charming.
