I saw a tiktok that basically said "im just gonna operate as if my 20s start at 25 and end at 35" and that is honestly SO true! Im 23 and I certainly dont feel like a 20+ year old adult yet, and I know a lot of people can relate. the economic situation people my age have been put in has, to a certain extent, infantalized all of us at least a little. I mean, I cant even afford to get my own car and neither can my parents afford to get me one

I just had this thought, and its honestly mind boggling! im the only virgin I know, nobody else in my life is a virgin. ALL of my friends and family are non-virgins. Im completely alone in this. Its part of why I feel like the only virgin in the entire world.

Has there ever been a JW video or movie in which an apostate returns to the faith? They depict people returning who simply stopped believing or got disfellowshipped, but has there ever been one about a full on apostate coming back?

To your knowledge, has JW media ever depicted the idea that apostates can be redeemed in any way?

This is just a think piece I suppose, but in my opinion, it could be said that it is not even a real religion.

Depending on who you ask, all religions are "not real" but to me, this one is particularly transparent. Why do I say this? Because they're really the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. Its a publishing company who invests in real estate that uses a fake religion to attract and keep publishers, to spread the word about the company and do free manual labor.

I dont think the intentions were malicious from the start, but eventually the spirit of the founders dissipated and corporate interests settled in, which are the sole force behind the company today. Everything the JWs do is to serve the WTBTS. All the doctrines exist to serve the WTBTS. All the new changes exist to keep the WTBTS out of court. There is no integrity in the JW religion, no spirit, and no honesty.

Its right there in all the terminology too, publishers, circuit overseers, the governing body! All business terms, the Governing Body is literally the governing body of the company. And theyre also the shareholders.

You could base a dystopian novel about this! A company using an entirely self serving and made up religion to fool people into complete submission of corporate interests.

I was out today, and two things happened! First, I was at a restaraunt and a cute girl took my order, and she paid for my drink! She was super nice and was very interested in talking to me even though I was with my mom.

Second, at the thrift store I randomly decided to look at and smile at a girl walking past me, which is something I never do, and she smiled back and said she liked my shirt ☺️

I guess you just gotta put yourself out there and be positive!

They're not commissions so I'm not gonna charge $100+ like for that. But how much would you pay for 2-3 high quality nude variants of art?

I mean, a lot of JWs will just kind of... be weirdly defensive when you talk about certain things.

For example, i told my mom about a youtuber i like, hes a science teacher who debunks conspiracy theories. for some reason, her reaction was "be careful dont always believe everything you hear"

Now thats kinda weird, id understand if I was watching conspiracy theorists, but the guy debunking them? okay.

Same thing happens about cults, if I mention a documentary about whatever cult, her reaction is "well you cant trust people who leave their religion, they lie"

Why bring that up?

Basically feels like JWs know theyre in, at the very least, a fringe religion that doesnt have a very good reputation, and a lot of people associate it with cults and conspiracies.
