Hi everyone, I am really struggling in ranked and I am kinda not sure what to do. I don't have complaints about my rank, I play on/off so I can't expect God knows what, but still I wanna improve a bit and maaaaybe be a consistent gold player at least. Not a huge ambition I know, but please help me out. Thank you :)

What should I be using on Ahri?

I'm new to League, just started on the weekend after getting my PC. I really enjoy playing Ahri but this rune stuff is confusing me (as are most things in this game). Is this okay? I also use Flash/Ignite, sometimes Flash/TP.

Jungle ganks.

All games I play usually go like this

win level 1 to 5> get ganked by jungler > suddenly kda is like 2/5 and I become practically useless.

some other games are different where enemy midlaner roams gets a triple and then I'm the one to blame " yeah I guess I should've left the big wave crashed under my tower "

what do I do? most of my champions have no dashes.

Finally promoted to gold IV but feel like I’ve hit a wall

After 10 years of playing league on and off, I’ve recently decided to try taking it serious and climbing this season. I OTP sylas mid, placed high bronze and climbed to gold iv.

Since promoting, I’ve lost 4 games in a row. I can actually feel the difference in level of play with the people here. It literally feels like the difficulty has multiplied by 2.

What are the common habits of gold players that one can take advantage of or look for to climb? Of course having champion mastery and better mechanics will help and that will come with time. I want to know how I can be impactful, even if I don’t necessarily get fed.

I do play very mindfully and talk out loud while I’ll play to help me understand why I make certain decisions. I also don’t blame my teammates. I have an open mind and am determined to continue to climb with sylas.

Winning 7 games as 7 diff champ. In plat 2.

I lose the next game because someone decided to leave and got autofill after that. I guess 7 is good enough.

How to counter cheesey ganks as a control mage

As someone who plays champs like orianna, hwei, ect my laning is usually fine but the second I'm playing against junglers like nocturne, shaco, or eve it feels like I can never win lane. Like jungle tracking feels like it barely works when nocturne can be on blue buff and still be nearby enough to punish me at quick notice, or eve and shaco will sacrifice tempo and sit in a bush for 20 seconds when their timers are up. Is this a draft or skill issue?

Mid feels infuriating to climb on

Small Rant but yeah need to get this off my chest, it feels so bad to play mid this season that it's insane.

Even if fed you never have more itemization than the adc due to the quest and can never play side agaisnt the enemy top unless you're Thanos, the quests limit mid's impact so much to the point if you want to have impact you have to almost always pick utility or champs that peak mid game because you'll never outscale the other carry roles.

I have a bit of experience playing in ERL and soloqueue feels so bad, I know it will never be as coordinated but you are never enabled and even if ahead you just need to play for botside so they can in the end carry the game as it's the only role that can actually 1v5 so you're forced to be the jungler/support's puppy and play with them to actually do something.

Even if mid was never a carry role, it seems so dumb to demote it to a supportive role and taking away so much expression from it, whatever I guess.

Anyways, what are your thougts on the matter?

Enemy Mid laner roaming once they get behind.

I have a common thing happen in my games. I will start to win mid lane, getting an kill or two and some cs advantage. Then, my enemy mid laner disappears and almost stops laning. They will drop waves, plates, and sometimes just roam out of base to other lanes ignoring mid all together. Currently, I just stay mid pushing tower and get a huge exp advantage, plate gold, etc.

How do you all approach this situation? The thing that is annoying is if the roams are successful because my teammates don't respect the MIAs. Roaming like this and giving up a lane should just be a free loss for enemy. But as you all know most league players can't play safe or respect pings. Emerald ELO btw.

Which champ do you think has the strongest kit in the game ?

Leaving out the numbers and the player skill expression. Which champ do you think has the strongest abilities.

I think it is yone. 3 aoe abilities 2 cc not to mention his e ability.

I would also consider azir he has insane range and dps can knockup 5 man while dealing almost half hp with his ult. Can create turret for sieges aswell.

Breaking up with Malzahar

Hey gang. It's time for a new main champion. I've been playing Malzahar since I picked the game back up and while I love the champion, he's reliable, decently durable, farms well (being able to just EW a wave and wander away is my favorite thing), but it feels like his ceiling is rather low, and I'd love to have a second pick with a bit more solo carry potential. Any recommendations?

Gold elo by the way so I am by no means good at the game.

What's your secondary role when queueing mid?

I'm a top/mid main for years, but with how miserable toplane is this patch, I'm trying to focus on midlane more. However, queueing mid/top gives me toplane every single time, currently 6 games in a row. I'm guessing it's because a lot of toplaners feel the same.

So I wanted to ask yall what secondary role you queue into? Something that's quite easy to not int on, so im thinking either adc or sup probably

What are some good youtubers to watch?

Heya, i'm starting my journey of playing ranked, even though i've been playing since 2011. Having played only normals so far and very casually means there's a lot of new things i need to learn, so i'm wondering what are some good youtubers to watch. I mostly just want to watch people play mid lane in ranked while maybe explaining their thought process, though i could do with just watching them play, as i've been listening to some videos on general tips on how to play mid. My mains are Swain, Malzahar and Viktor, so i would greatly apreciate to watch someone play swain mid

Why are all ad mid champs otp only?

Thinking about swapping to midlane (from adc) and what champs to play and I noticed something:

Are all ad mids basically otp champs? Akshan, Irelia, Zed, Qiyana, Yasuo, Yone...every educational content creator says to not touch them unless you want to otp them.

The only notable exception is Naafiri, which is an entirely different can of worms.

All the adcs that were playable in mid (Trist, Lucian, Smolder) are nerfed to complete irrelevancy...even Jayce isnt played much mid anymore.

So what ad pick should I learn, knowing Id be playing it not that often. I dont like Naafiri and even if I would shes too contested as it is...

Plat/emerald elo btw, playing mostly Ahri, Viktor and Syndra atm. Thanks in advance.
