Both pubs and café at Willen are closing
The Willen Dragon is part of the brewers fayre restructure, but what's going on with the café and the lakeside.
Any chance the premises will be taken over and we'll get new venues?

Anyone know if the ring here, where people used to sit, will remain? Or will we have to pay to sit in the sun?

Hi,
I’ll be moving to MK from Vancouver and I was wondering if there are any mountain biking trails in the area. I am trying to decide between selling my bike or bringing it with me.
I personally dislike the Kelly’s Kitchen roundabout, near the former Marshall factory. It is the most confusing roundabout. Which one do you dislike the most?
Hi all,
I hope this is ok to post here.
After becoming a new dad last year and struggling with post-natal depression I vowed I would start a group to help dads have somewhere to connect and support each other. Since then, 4 of my friends who are in different stages of fatherhood are also struggling (and silently) until I opened up about my struggles.
I have finally taken the plunge and set up MK Dads Club. It’s a place for dads, step-dads and grandads to connect, support and thrive.
I’ll be organising group walks at Willen Lake in the upcoming weeks to start with. If the club starts gaining traction, I’ll try and organise other events and spaces to connect.
So if you’re a new dad, a seasoned pro, a granddad, or a dad to a soul that isn’t with us anymore - this group is for you.

So I am 19, and am back from uni for the summer. However I don’t really have too many friends here anymore as many have gone on to other things, so I feel I am going to be very bored.
Preferably, I’d like to find friends who enjoy sports, but ofc people that enjoy my other hobbies would be appreciated as well, but specifically I’d like more people I can just talk football with, go to watch games etc.
How would you recommend I find these friends? Are any apps like Wizz any good for this, if not what are ways I can meet friends like this?
This happened not even a minute ago, I was walking to the gym group by the station when I was stopped by a woman in one of those electric disability scooter things.
She asked if I can help her with a taxi home and that she needed £20 for it home and no one else including family could help her.She was crying and I felt bad and started to call for a taxi for her.
But when I tried to call her a taxi she kept asking if the money could be transferred to her bank instead? The whole conversation was about 10mins back and forth trying to say I’m not transferring it I’ll just pay for it. Eventually she refused to take the taxi if I didn’t transfer the money.
I know it’s an obvious scam now (might be wrong tbh but very confident) just wondering if anyone else has seen this because I’ve been in Milton Keynes for years and never seen this.
Just heard a very loud noise. Hope everything is okay.
I've seen and heard very little about these but never seen them in action. As far as I'm aware they're autonomous pods that take you around.
Hello fellow, Keynies?, Millies?, different thread if it hasn’t been said before lol.
I was wondering if anyone knows of any improv groups in or around Milton Keynes, either comedy or otherwise.
Tia!
Hi all, it’s that weekly reminder that I’ll be at Warbler on the Wharf at 3pm this Sunday. I’ll have an orange jacket draped over a chair and you are all welcome to come and have a chat and pint if you’d like.
Come as you are. Read more about the initiative here: https://emptychairs.org.uk
Hi everybody, I would like to make you a question about miltonkeynes
First of all, I am italian so I beg your pardon because my english is not my mother tongue
So, since I have to follow a gluten free diet, I would like to know how is the availability there: I've seen that there are some supermarkets where is possible to find gluten free food. But what about bakeries, restaurants and so on?
I have to go to Cranfield University for a week, so I prefer to organize before coming there
Thanks in advance for your help
is there still a paint festival in campbell in the summer? ik it’s for another country’s tradition but i’ve completely forgotten the name, i went like 8 years ago and it was AMAZING, everyone had so much paint powder everything was colourful it was so good, but everything ive seen to do with it since then is in comparison so bad, like each person having to pay for them and only allowing 1 per person
