Will the minimal phone 1 still be available when the 2nd one drops?
Just a simple question. If minimal 2 doesn't have an eink screen, I would still want to consider a minimal one. Will that be discontinued? Hopefully it may drop a bit in price.

I’ve been trying to simplify my life for the last year - decluttered a ton, cut my wardrobe in half, deleted most social apps, etc. What kicked this post off was a chat with a coworker yesterday who showed me their Apple Watch stats for literally everything, including “energy” during the day.
Now I’m torn. Part of me likes the idea of tracking sleep, stress, HRV, all that, to see what’s actually draining me. I sometimes crash hard around 3 pm and just power through with coffee and I’m starting to feel like that’s not sustainable. But another part of me feels like adding more graphs and numbers is just digital clutter. Maybe I’m looking at this the wrong way.
While googling around I saw stuff like ENSTA mentioned alongside other health/energy trackers, and it made me wonder: is this kind of tracking compatible with a minimalist approach or is it just another form of obsessive data hoarding?
How do you all handle this? Do you track health/energy at all, and if yes, what’s your minimalist way of doing it? Or do you consider all these apps just noise?

Left to right: Minimal Phone 1, Minimal Phone 2, and the BlackBerry Classic.
Figured people would want a real size comparison.

Also, I know we've been wondering about whether or not the MP02 is e-ink. What if the minimal logo button on the front is the e-ink refresh button?
Selling due to no longer getting use. Realistically only used it for about 3 weeks so it is in amazing condition. Comes with Onyx coloured case. Located in Australia, happy to post worldwide if we go through a safe on both end service.
Luckily, my android auto doesn't get disconnected every 5 minutes.
But the screen stays on - every now and again I'd get a message that my phone needs to cool down.
Anything I can do to fix it?
Also, my android auto time seem to count towards my screen time...
I ordered a Minimal Phone on 6/22, so one week ago. The tracking info hasnt changed once. I think 'shipment information received' means it still hasn't shipped? I reached out to Minimal to ask if theres an issue and i haven't heard anything back.
How long did you all wait for shipment if you ordered direct from the company? Is this typical?
I'm in the UK, and bought the phone on ebay. And now I am trying to figure out how to source a case...
It's been 2 weeks now and I am enjoying the friction it creates! I actually kept it in my backpack today while commuting as I felt there was no need for me to stare at the screen - such a liberating feeling!
But there are times when I don't have a bag - and I have a bad history of cracking phone screens...
Any advice?..
Ships from new york. Great condition, i've kept it in a case, applied a matte screen protector, and barely used it outside of the house. No scratches or anything. $345, shipped. Message if you're interested. Thanks!
Am I completely wearing a tinfoil hat, or is Minimal intentionally dropping hints about the next phone?
For some context, I bought the original Minimal Phone a while back and ended up deleting my old Reddit account because I was trying to spend less time online (ironically). So this is a fresh account.
Anyways... I've been looking at their latest teaser posts and I can't unsee a few things.
1. The hoodie.
The keyboard printed on the back isn't the same layout as the current Minimal Phone.
I pulled mine out to compare, and they're different. Different bottom row, different key placement... enough that it doesn't look like they just stylized it for merch.
Why make a completely new keyboard layout for a sweatshirt?
Unless... it's not a random design.
2. The top profile.
The current phone doesn't have a kill switch.
Knowing Minimal's whole philosophy around intentional technology and giving users more control, a dedicated hardware switch for privacy, focus, or connectivity would make perfect sense.
It immediately caught my eye.
3. This one is the biggest clue.
The current Minimal Phone almost looks like it's resting on top of another phone.
Look closely at the bottom.
You can see what appears to be another device underneath with the minimal logo on it, but it's mostly hidden.
Why stack it like that unless you wanted people to notice something without fully revealing it?
Individually, maybe none of these mean anything.
But all three together?
It feels like they're planting breadcrumbs.
Maybe MP2 has been hiding in plain sight this whole time.
Am I completely overanalyzing this, or does anyone else see what I'm seeing?
Hey, everyone! I'm looking at switching to a either a Minimal Phone or a Light Phone and just wanted to see what everyone's experience with their Minimal Phone to help me decide. Thanks!
Not sure what I'm doing wrong here, but this is what is currently bothering me the most - apart from the keyboard.
When I want to open an app - I start typing its name. The list gets filtered - sometimes, there are a few search matches. Say, it is the second one in the resulting list. I tap on the one that I want. Instead of the app that I want I get an app which is the second in overall alphabetical order...any ideas?
I have recently been having an issue with my keyboard in which I input a key, but it types out another (like pressing backspace, but it puts "D" or keys like the N key not working at all). It has gotten to a point where my phone recently became unusable, where it just spams the D key so I can't open any apps or message anyone.
I reached out to customer support and haven't gotten a response in over a week, so I was wondering if anyone was able to disable the physical keyboard to use an on-screen keyboard only.
