I know this sounds crazy, but think about it. Unless something drastic happens, J.D. Vance will most likely be the Republican nominee going into the 2028 election. If Trump were to die in office (or even worse, be assassinated) Vance would have over 2 years in office to show the Republican demographic what kind of president he would be. Most likely, he’d be a boring, bog-standard Republican president who gets nothing done. But that’s exactly the kind of president on-the-fence Republicans are looking for. Someone who doesn’t make 40+ Truth Social posts at 1 AM, someone who (in theory) wasn’t connected to Epstein, someone who (in theory) isn’t as corrupt or bigoted. Plus, there won’t be any huge controversies either, given that it’s mostly likely that by midterms the GOP won’t hold all three branches of government and therefore won’t have the ability to enact any crazy far right policies. This gives the Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene type of Republicans well over 2 years to forget about the Trump madness and then vote red again in the 2028 election.

Again I know this sounds crazy, but I think Donald Trump in all his bigoted glory staying president of the United States is actually a lifeline for Democrats going into the 2028 election season. Let me know if you agree below.
