Being Tom Cruise

Hi all,

Today is actor Tom Cruise's 64th birthday! And what better way to celebrate than to Be Tom Cruise?

According to Wikipedia, when director Spike Jonze showed the script for Being John Malkovich to various producers, the response he received was "Why the fuck can't it be Being Tom Cruise?"

Well... now it can!

This edit is a 4 in 1 FanMix of Being John Malkovich, Eyes Wide Shut, Vanilla Sky, and Magnolia, with a few real life clips of Tom Cruise sprinkled throughout. As you may have guessed, I have completely removed John Malkovich and all references of John Malkovich from the movie Being John Malkovich (except for a small cameo) and replaced all of them with Tom Cruise. I have kept the chronology and events of the movie Being John Malkovich mostly the same with some minor changes.

Runtime: 1 hour and 41 minutes

Quality: HD h.265

You can DM me for a link. I would be honored to receive any feedback or critiques, positive or negative, as I am always looking to improve my editing.

Halloween 2018 Fanedit (Originally Released 9/12/2023).

Hey everybody. I had someone reach out and ask me about this edit I did a few years ago over the weekend and I decided I would put some clips up and show off some of the final product. There's been work in progress clips of this before, but I don't believe I'd ever actually shown off any final cut clips before.

This fanedit, entitled "The No Doctor Cut", was made out of my desire to see a version of Halloween 2018 that eliminated not just Dr. Sartain's character but the entire "Michael Incarcerated for another 40 years" plotline of the movie. Personally I have never liked that. I think it wastes one of the greatest, most iconic open endings in American cinema history. So with this edit I sought to do away with it, and preserve the open ending. I did this by incorporating footage from Halloween 1978, Halloween II 1981, Halloween 2018 and a little bit of footage from Halloween Kills to create a whole new prologue for the film.

As the description in the youtube video states, this is the very first feature film fanedit that I ever completed, and some of the crudity of it now really shows off my lack of experience when I was making it. There's some noticeable audio hiccups early on. Especially in transitioning from Halloween 1978 to footage from Halloween Kills. Watching this back, having not done any kind of remastering of it now that I've gotten more skill as an editor, the technical imperfections but me but on a conceptual level I still really like this idea and think it works quite well.

Excuse the lack of polish of this upload on youtube, it's kind of a cut and paste job I had to do because I don't happen to have access to my actual edit software right now.

Hope people enjoy a little taste of an "alternate" Halloween 2018.

Kane Pixel YT Backrooms series into 2hr movie

[backrooms](https://www.moviesremastered.com/movieinfo.php?id=12153)

all footage used from Kane Parsons backrooms content

Async sends out expedition teams to map the seemingly infinite complex. However, as the project progresses, they realize this liminal plane of existence is dangerous, filled with bizarre phenomena and hostile entities that threaten the researchers and anyone else unlucky enough to fall into the backrooms on their own...

before watching the backrooms movie i binged Kane's videos on YT, after watching i wanted to try to rework his videos into a more movie like structure, i do think this edit works better after you watch the a24 movie but you can still watch this without spoiling anything from Kane's movie. My Edit, like Kane's series, focuses on the Async corporation and their discovery and early days with the Backrooms and the consequences that follow opening the door to a place like this.

A team of Async researchers returning with footage of a mysterious creature roaming the complex

I used footage from Kane's web series in chronological order however some of the found footage segments are placed into my edit out of order to help with pacing since they are mainly isolated, pretty much everything from Async's perspective with the hazmat teams are entirely chronological. the reason for this is to help with the pacing and to prevent it from becoming repetitive as the 3 found footage videos are pretty much isolated in their original state

I've included songs and brief scenes from the a24 movie into my edit, mostly audio,

I've added music to most of the silent scenes

some of the longer walking sequences are trimmed and cut with music,

I've tried to keep every element from his series that stuck with me and trimmed parts i feel aren't entirely necessary,

Original runtime: ~2hr46m

Edit Runtime ~2hr9m

DM me if you are interested in watching this edit for yourself
