I’m planning to become a pro makeup artist mainly bridal.
What are your recommendations for the best makeup school in NYC?

Hi everyone! I’m getting married in February 2027 and looking for a talented hair and makeup artist (HMUA) in the Los Angeles area who can travel to Culver City.

I’m seeking someone experienced with Indian/South Asian bridal hair and makeup, including draping lehengas/dupattas and styling bridal jewelry.
I’ll need services for three events:Sangeet, Wedding and Reception

Individual artists or teams are welcome, especially those who can also get family members ready.
Please share your recommended HMUA’s Instagram/website and pricing. I’d especially love someone whose work is glamorous, natural-looking, and long-lasting.

Booked him almost a year in advance for my entourage. He cancelled just two days before my wedding day, and if I hadn’t messaged him regarding the forms that needed to be filled out, I wouldn’t have even known.

He gave me an excuse that his makeup kits had been drenched in rainwater. However, I later saw his posts showing that he had purchased new makeup and had done makeup for other clients a day before and a day after my wedding.

I was extremely disappointed. I understand that unexpected things can happen, but the way this was handled was very unprofessional. Being cancelled on just two days before my wedding, after booking almost a year in advance, was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I expected better communication and professionalism, especially for an important event like a wedding.
