Recently shifted to Mumbai for a job and don’t really have friends here.
Last 2 weekends I went to my hometown but this weekend I’m staying back so looking for places 59 explore / meet new people maybe go to some events
Into:
good cafés
social/high-energy places
finance/startup crowd
nightlife occasionally
interesting people
long walks/drives/exploring
Comfortable going places alone too, so solo suggestions are welcome.
What are the places/rituals/experiences that made you fall in love with Mumbai?
heyy, im 18F a fy fashion design student im trying to make new friends so if anyone's interested please lmkk !!
Hi, I am looking for a group to play board games with as I have a lot of time on weekends. I am strictly looking for serious players and while we can socialize, the main point of finding a group is to play different kinds of board games.
I live near Vile Parle west and want to meet people nearby. I am 24 Male.
I can buy board games and we can play in a park or public spacr or we can go to cafes to rent and play board games so all the options are fine with me.
Message me on Reddit if anyone is interested.
With The Boys finale dropping on 20th May, 2026, I’m thinking it would be fun for the Mumbai crowd to have a finale watch party, somewhere with a big screen and good food, drinks. Any people interested in joining? Ps. I already have a good group coming together, but having more people would make it even more fun :)
So I am 21F and recently started with Rapido and now while seeing the news and all it is really very heartbreaking cause this was the only way like i could earn a little bit of extra money cause while applying on internshala i was only getting internship where in there is fundraising, sales and lead generation and i am done doing that job......i just want to ask from the people of mumbai that is it really beacause of any legal violation or the cabinet which is responsible for this did not got their pay or what is this scene can anyone clearly tell me about this or have any insider news
A tiny little social experiment for this Saturday!!
I love hosting. I love overdoing snack platters. (Proofs attached) And I love being stupid (to be read as daring) when it comes to meeting people off of the internet.
So, calling 5 strangers for a highly important social gathering (high tea) tomorrow.
Date: 16/05/2026
Time: 4:30-7:00 PM
Location: Andheri East
By “high tea” I mean:
* Tiny sandwiches that took me unnecessarily long to assemble
* Constant look out for pepper spray (It's a Reddit meetup for God's sake)
* Strangers and their gut wrenching lore.
The agenda for the evening:
- eat well
- overshare responsibly (I am kidding, that's an oxymoron in all it's glory)
- accidentally leave with someone else’s emotional (and literal) baggage
Because here’s the twist:
Everyone has to bring ONE thing they want to get rid of. (In 2026, side quests are important. It's called time-resource optimization, look it up) Some suggestions might look like:
A book you swear you’ll reread (It's been a while, let it go)
An ex’s hoodie (Please please have it washed)
A secret santa gift that felt vaguely insulting (Not be that HR, but Bella Vita boxes remain banned here as well)
A candle that smells like “wet optimism” (Dibs on all things candles)
A mug with too much personality (You know which one I am talking about)
At the end of the evening, we exchange everything randomly. A closure we didnt think we needed.
Also yes, this is a paid entry (at 1k per person) because groceries in this economy??? and apparently bread and cheese do not buy themselves.
5 spots only because my house is cute and all, but Mumbai matchboxes arent made for social events. Also I am low on cutlery.
If this sounds like your kind of an evening, please send me a message! (Avoid commenting) I will ask for verification over socials, phone calls and a note a reference from your friend who will have to vouch for your civilized behavior ; )
See you all tomorrow!
how would you celebrate a peaceful birthday ? 😭
I don’t want clubs/parties, just a chill low-hassle day.
Need ideas for cafés, sunset spots, activities or a simple itinerary.
Hey,
I’m 16m and coming to Mumbai on 26 May. Mostly to shift there permanently but I don’t have any friends or contacts there, so I’m honestly a bit confused about flat hunting and settling in alone.
Right now I’m mainly looking around Andheri West side for a flat/pg, but it’s hard to know what’s genuine because there are so many scams, fake listings, random charges, etc. Since I’m new to the city, it’s difficult to understand what’s normal and what’s not.
I’m also trying to find part-time work while settling in, but finding jobs at this age without contacts has been difficult too.
If someone has experience with flat hunting in Mumbai or can help me understand things to avoid, I’d really appreciate it. Even small guidance would help a lot rn.
Thanks!
Me currently 163 cm M am wanting to increase height by atleast 8-10 cm
I’m in my 19s so can anybody suggest what can I do for it?!?!
I have currently joined a gym for physical activity (I do hanging for 15 sec 3 times)
Also am joining swimming membership soon
Please suggest what I’m missing up on guys!!!

Looking to expand my circle in this city
If any of this resonates, drop me a DM.

A meetup for women to hang out at a restaurant with the aim to make new friends and learn more about health in general. There aren't many spaces in Mumbai where women can talk and learn more about their bodies/health, so I'd like to build one.
We'll have a cool expert and some finger painting as well 😄
It's an all women's event only.
It's paid, because we're getting a sexologist, an expert in
Dm for more info.

Alright Reddit, do your thing — set me up on a blind date.
I’m 21, 6 ft tall, wheatish complexion. I’m into fitness (hit the gym regularly), finance/business, and I genuinely enjoy deep conversations as much as random, fun plans. I’d say I’m pretty chill, easy to talk to, and someone who likes a mix of stability and spontaneity.
What I’m looking for is simple — looks don’t matter to me. I value someone who’s caring, energetic, positive, and actually excited about life. Bonus if you love traveling or are open to just picking up and going on trips, because I definitely want that kind of energy.
If this sounds like your vibe, drop a comment or DM. Let’s see where this goes.
So I’m planning to shift to Mumbai to pursue my acting and film career, but I’m confused about where I should live Andheri or Malad. I’m looking for a sharing flat. Earlier, I lived near Andheri RTO, and I found Andheri much more accessible for traveling anywhere in Mumbai since it’s centrally located.
But at the same time, a lot of struggling actors stay in Andheri, and sometimes the environment feels a bit negative or draining. So now I’m really confused about what would be the better choice for me.
Met up a bunch of strangers on a lazy Sunday.
Is anyone traveling from Mumbai ?
