Going to Oktoberfest first weekend and from the states so very excited to visit Germany for the first time. I am single (29M) and wanted to know what's the dating scene like for Oktoberfest? Only staying for 2 weeks but not scared to see what happens. Just curious for those going or have gone whats it like for those looking for beer and potential love lol?

I (M35) am relatively fresh after a heavy breakup (1.5 months) which kinda ruined my life and want to get out of my hole, especially on the weekends. I have a very inactive friends group simply because I neglected everything for the relationship. Generally I would be someone to organize stuff for a group of people myself but I currently simply lack the energy and capacity. I somewhat need to get my ex out of my system as I loved her but she betrayed me for years (which is funny considering the relationship went on for 2.5 years). And it isn't easy. I promise I won't talk about her all the time as I just want to build connections up again. And I don't want a relationship currently, I am too much of a wreck anyways. But I realized the only thing that really helps me push her out of my system is being around normal people and talking. Hanging out, chatting, getting to know new faces and listening to stories without any vibe of dating or anything. (That is why dating apps, while working for me to get to know girls don't work for me if that makes sense)

So really if there are groups of guys or mixed groups of people that would be willing to lend a hand for relatively low effort activities I'd appreciate if I could join. What I currently can't do is anything stressful (for weeks I couldn't even listen to music, that's the level of stressed I was inside myself) but I can offer to drive out of Munich if a group needs a designated driver, I don't drink alcohol at all currently because it fucks me up even more. (Usually i would be up for a beer but please not for me rn) I can also try to join to bars or nightclubs but idk if I am ready yet, so activities during the day might be better. If you like me I can obviously try joining for evening / nighttime activities too but currently I am not sure whether I am ready for it.

As for me I am a normal (usually fun, very easy going and relatively smart) guy, I speak English and (Austrian) German fluently (while also being into language learning but even that got messed up... know a little Spanish, French, Russian) and I am into tech, sports (currently not super active but doing it on my own) traveling and just hanging out. I really am interested in people usually trying to listing and understanding live stories as I am very empathetic. I also enjoy gaming here or there but also that stresses me too much currently for reasons I can tell in person, I got roughed up as if we played ice hockey during the breakup mentally. Ah and I am in Sendling but I can get everywhere throughout the city. Deutschlandticket available ;)

I work in communications/marketing, so I naturally like everything around brands, media, culture and creativity. ich würde mich sehr über ein paar gleichgesinnte Menschen aus München und Umgebung freuen die Lust hätten, gemeinsam den Weg von der Ideenfindung bis hin zu einem möglichen Produkt oder Konzept zu durchleben.

Die Idee wäre, bewusst ohne fertige Geschäftsidee zu starten. Zunächst könnte man interessante Probleme und Märkte recherchieren, bestehende Lösungen vergleichen und vielleicht mit potenziellen Nutzerinnen und Nutzern sprechen.

Anschließend könnte sich die Gruppe gemeinsam auf ein Projektthema einigen – beispielsweise durch eine Abstimmung. Darauf aufbauend könnten wir mögliche Lösungen entwickeln, einfache Prototypen bauen und testen. Falls alle weiterhin Interesse haben, könnten wir anschließend versuchen, das entstandene Produkt oder Konzept tatsächlich anderen Menschen zugänglich zu machen.

Für mich würden dabei nicht der Profit oder der wirtschaftliche Erfolg im Vordergrund stehen, sondern vor allem das gemeinsame Lernen und die Erfahrung, alle Phasen eines solchen Prozesses selbst zu durchlaufen.

Vorerfahrungen im Gründen, Programmieren, Marketing oder Produktdesign sind nicht notwendig. Wichtig wären vor allem Neugier, Zuverlässigkeit und die Bereitschaft, kleinere Aufgaben zu übernehmen und sich benötigte Kenntnisse selbstständig oder gemeinsam mit der Gruppe anzueignen.

Kurz zu mir: Ich habe einen Bachelor in Elektrotechnik und studiere aktuell Systems Engineering im Master. Mit Gründung und Vermarktung habe ich selbst noch keine Erfahrung und würde das Projekt zunächst als ernsthaftes Hobby neben Studium oder Beruf betrachten.

Das Ganze soll kein Kurs sein, und ich möchte auch nicht als Leiter oder Lehrer auftreten. Alle sollen gleichberechtigt mitmachen und gemeinsam entscheiden, wie man vorgehen könnte. Das spätere Projekt müsste auch keinen technischen Bezug haben – ich bin für verschiedene Bereiche offen.

Bei ausreichendem Interesse würde ich zunächst ein lockeres und unverbindliches Kennenlernen in einem Café in München organisieren.
