I need advice from any lawyers here

I gave a review on one of the spa, I was really not happy with the consultation and the treatment was not effective. I had mentioned that the cosmetologist just read the services like a hotel server and did not really help me with what I really want for my skin. I was really struggling on if I have to add detan and I asked her, she gave me a mirror and asked me to check. I did not use any foul language and demean anyone. I respect all professions. But they took offense and kept calling me. So I deleted the comment as they were offended by it. Later after few months, I added the review in a lower tone staying that I was not happy with the consultation. Then my family got a call from the cops, they called my mother to the station and took a statement from us. Am I at wrong here?

The cop said that they have complained about others who have given bad reviews as well. And that they did the same last year also.

The cop also mentioned that they have nothing to do here, they just had to take a statement from us. If the spa wants to continue, they can put a defamation lawsuit.

Is it considered a defame though?

I kinda felt like they are dominating and that I dont have my freedom of expression anymore.

I give reviews to a lot of businesses. I don’t live in india and this kind of behavior is new to me. But I felt bad that my parents had to sit in the station for 2 hours because of me

How Tipu Sultan Tried To Wipe Out Mysore And Replace Its Kannada Heritage With Islamic one by renaming it to Nazarabad and Razing the whole city to the ground

Tipu Sultan’s attack on Mysore was not limited to political control. He attempted to destroy the old identity of Mysore itself. The Kannada Hindu Identity.

First, Mysore was razed to the ground. The old city connected to the Wodeyars, the palace, the temples, and the older Kannada Hindu memory of the kingdom was brought down. This was not renovation. This was destruction of the old capital which had hundreds of years of legacy of Vijayanagara and Wodeyar rulers.

Then the stones of the old palace and temples were removed. The palace of the Mysore Rajas and the temple structures of old Mysore were treated like construction material. The visible heritage of Mysore was broken apart and carried away.

Those stones were used for Tipu’s new fort near Mysore. And this fort was not even useful for defending the country. It was a costly, cruel, and useless project that caused suffering to the peasants and labourers. Mysore’s palace and temples were destroyed for a fort that did not even properly serve Mysore.

The old fame of Mysore was pushed aside through Nazarabad. That name was not Kannada. It was not rooted in the old cultural identity of Mysore. After razing the city and stripping its palace and temples, Tipu tried to stamp a new Islamic Persianate identity over the old Kannada capital just like how he did for majority of the places which had it's local Kannada names stripped and replaced with foreign names, namely Islamic.

If this project had fully succeeded, the Mysore we know today would not have existed in the same form. The old palace memory, the temple heritage, the Wodeyar connection, the Kannada identity of the capital, and the name Mysore itself would have been buried under Tipu’s replacement project. This was an attempt to wipe out old Mysore from the ground up. Destroy the city. Strip the palace. Remove the temple stones. Build a new fort. Give it a new name. Push the old Kannada Hindu memory into the background.

The Wodeyar family also suffered under this same order. The old royal house of Mysore was reduced to humiliation. The family was stripped, confined, neglected, and the young Raja was left in a miserable condition. The dynasty that represented old Mysore was treated like an unwanted remnant. So this was not just about buildings. It was about identity. Tipu went after the city, the palace, the temples, the name, the royal family, and the memory of old Mysore itself.

The Fourth Anglo Mysore War finally ended Tipu’s rule. After his defeat, the old Mysore order was restored, the Wodeyars returned, and Mysore survived instead of being buried under Nazarabad.

Today Mysore still stands with its Kannada heritage, its palace memory, its Wodeyar legacy, and its civilizational identity because Tipu’s project failed.

Left Mysore with loads of love and affection. Nice and warm people and banger food places. The police at the Palace get was a bit rude but maybe it was a bad day. Overall, I’ll highly recommend the city to travellers.

Any ideas about Halladamanaganalli (Alanahalli Gram Panchayat) in HD Kote Taluk

I know this seems too specific but since I might be moving to this area, I know it's not in the city center but want to know if anyone knows of the area? Does it have good water, some other areas I read water is laden with salts. Is it generally safe and peaceful, the place? Lemme know, thx.

Need some honest advice from people in Mysore

My family has a coffee farm in Coorg, and we have around 200 avocado trees as a secondary crop. We grow the larger Indian variety (not Hass), and the taste and texture are really good. Some fruits even weigh around 700–750g.

I've been selling directly to cafés, juice shops, restaurants, and fruit vendors around Mysore and nearby areas. The price I usually get is around ₹70/kg, sometimes a little more or less.

What surprises me is that I see avocados being sold in supermarkets and on quick-commerce apps for much higher prices. I understand there are logistics and retail margins involved, but I feel like I'm missing a better way to sell.

My goal is to build a consistent supply business instead of just selling harvest-to-harvest.

For people in Mysore:

- Where do you think I should be looking for buyers?

- Are there cafés, health food stores, or businesses that regularly buy directly from farmers?

- Would branding and social media actually help, or should I focus on B2B?

- If you were in my position, what would you do?

I'm not trying to advertise or sell here—I'm genuinely looking for advice from people who understand the local market. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mallika, her highness!

This is the last batch of Mallika mangoes available at Devaraj market, probably mysore itself and I bought 8 kg at 150/kg, that's all they had in the entire market.

It's been a month since I've been in Mysore and tried various mangoes but Mallika really won me over every damn time.

Alas, the season is over for Mallika and the market is flooded with the last varieties like Totapuri (semi ripe) and Neelam.

Bidding adieu to my favourite mango of the season.

What's your top favourite variety this season?
