I volunteered for Reign of Terror, the same one from the haunted house episode, for 3 years back in high school.

So I about lost it when I first saw them pop up unexpectedly when first going through the series!!

Bruce, the owner, is THE kindest man, who always treated all of us with so much respect and appreciation. His wife is a sweetheart too. I volunteered both as a makeup artist and scare actor, and they also let me in during off-hours to do a few horror photoshoots.

Absolutely wonderful experience, had an absolute blast, and if you’re ever in the area in October, the event itself is phenomenal.

I’m FINALLY getting around to watching The Rehearsal

I can’t believe I’ve slept on this show for this long. Even with a completely different premise, it’s still 100% Nathan Fielder. It has all of those “going to unnecessary lengths to achieve a minuscule goal” elements that made me adore NFY.

I got to the part in the first episode where Nathan sets up all of the fake scenarios in order to indirectly feed the guy the answers to the next trivia game, and when the cop at the fake hostage situation says “It’s days like these that make me curse the Chinese for inventing gunpowder,” I had to pause the show because I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s already such a ridiculous thing to say, but the guy says it with such conviction. I kept repeating it back to myself and cackling at it again and again.

What a treasure to have more Nathan to look forward to.
