Petition to add a toggle to disable flight assist

Particularly the auto leveling feature when you're too close to the surface. While it's all well and good for the normal ships, in the Corvettes with their strange "center" of ship placements- the feature becomes a nightmare any time I'm near the surface of anything. Simply parking next to an outpost shouldn't be this much of a head ache. You can hear me slamming on the engines only to be sucked further into the planet. The flight assists have always annoyed me but this is beyond annoying and is completely game breaking for me personally. A simple switch to enable/disable the feature would be handy. That or moving the ships "center" to the cockpits placement.

RARE Paradise Giant Found in Euclid. With red to green chameleon grass!

Those of you who can jump to purple systems, I have found a Paradise Gaint worth calling home. I have appropriately named it Captain Planet.

I deleted my 6 year old safe file

It was an accident, I was trying to delete another save file. I have no backups and have been un able to find ways to possibly get it back

6 years of progress, ships, an upgraded freighter, S class weapon, and I was working on building my dream Corvette.

All lost, all gone, all to be never be seen again and forever a stain in my emotional being.

I can't start over again, it hurts

Are they expanding the anomaly?

OK, so I was at the Anomaly this evening and in the area where you can get all of the different upgrades at, and this stood out to me, but is that a door? I know they like to leave Easter eggs in the game, but I think they are going to expand the Anomaly again or at least had plans to. And if so, what was it for or what will it be for?

HG, Please Revert/Redo The Portal Entry Effect

Prior to some update long past, the static portal effect (after the energetic activation effect) was much more visually appealing, with a shimmering, multicolored, ethereal, slightly translucent quality. Similar to, but not exactly the same as the base teleporter. It looked inviting, like something you would want to walk into/through.

Now, the effect looks much more like a slimy, writhing, gelatinous mass, that certainly doesn't visually entice one to enter. In fact, I'd argue visually, it suggests you should pinch your nose closed and hold your breath before approaching. But, since we're wearing an Exo-suit, instead you should have a new Exo-suit on hand before entering. That way, you can swap out on the other side and burn the old one because, you won't be getting rid of that mess with anything less than fire. 😋

With most everything else in the game so visually stunning, it's kind of a letdown that one of the more exciting things one gets to do (stepping into a portal) is now, at least in my opinion, also one of the least visually appealing. If you are inclined to update the effect, maybe shoot for something like a shimmering, rippling, metallic liquid/water effect. More akin to the effect seen in that other famous portal were all sure yours was inspired by. (Hint, hint. Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.) 😉

1st Job

Oh hey interlopers, can you believe it, the AI's got us a job! So we went down to this infested rock to stomp some worms. First we found a bug though, gorgeous specimen, and she went straight in the collection. I had to stop Riggs from chasing the big one round the whole planet, he'd have a go if he could! Then we got to work... Enjoy the pics, Ronch out.

One last sunset for one last portal...to new horizons, Travellers! {{First Purge}}

You don't take those final steps without taking a moment to pause and think of those you met along the way, and all the things you discovered. After all, it's not every day you go around resetting entire universes...but, ya know...

Well, it's been a trip guys, and I hope to see you all on the other side! Star Wolf, Gl0nkyR1ck, signing off...

Am I missing something?

Ok, so the swarm expedition was long, arduous and had most of us just wanting it to end.
But it was touted as the Swarm UPDATE.

Has anyone actually encountered anything swarm related after the expedition ended, or seen anything that would make it an ‘update’?

I am currently hunting paradise planets near the core of every galaxy and so I have visited literally hundreds of planets in the last couple of weeks.

In all that, I found one planet that had buried swarm debris, which gave me some corrupted ichor.

No crashed swarmers, no swarmers to fight, no sign of the hive of glass.

Am I just not doing something properly or was this update adding the faction mechanic for something coming in COSMOS?

I see now that the quicksilver merchant has a community progress bar that I don’t think was there before.

Tiny Hut on “Earth-like” planet

I have a certain style od building now so if you’re familiar with my other builds, it’s more of the same but I was trying to bring everything I’ve learned into one tiny build, as Tiny Builds are the best!

A Tidy Squadron

Out with the squad

https://preview.redd.it/g3b79up7ptjh1.png?width=2336&format=png&auto=webp&s=09e028fae41fa8fced2b2a455ec226eba16aa00d

I avoided using the squadron for a long time for a variety of reasons: They were underpowered, constantly getting in the way, and adding a lot of extra non-targets to dogfights. Their singular advantage seems to be harrying enemy fighters to keep them from piling on me as I thin the numbers.

I hatched the plan to get a squadron of the smallest ships I could find in the loudest color, and just because I could, filtered through galaxies to build a squadron of identical ships made of exclusively S-class pilots. I have little confidence that S-Class pilots are significantly better, but it does seem that the B and C pilots lag behind the S, so for what little they do it may have been worth the extra effort.
