Hey yall, recently moved to Norman and I’m curious of your favorite spots to volunteer. I’m down for any population or opportunity.

I currently take care of my wife, sister-in-law, 9 year old stepson, 6 year old niece, and my three year old daughter. I normally have things covered but I am drowning this month and need a loan to keep going. I am begging someone to please DM with whatever help you have to offer. I am hard working and good for repayment. But we’ve hit a wall and I’m asking, begging for help. Please DM if you’re able. Please.

I'm moving from one small 2 bedroom house in central Norman to another in NW Norman in mid-June. My family normally helps out but they may be occupied this time round. Does anyone have any experience with hiring movers in the area? I'm wondering what the normal price would be and if it would be worth it to budget for this.

Some other important details: The switch is expected to happen in the evening on May 29, pending successful testing of the new railroad gates interface with traffic signals at James Garner Avenue and Gray Street. After the traffic switch occurs, there will likely still be work continuing along Gray Street related to streetscape and beautification elements.

Just moved to Norman to get closer to family. Wife has been job hunting and hasn't had any luck. She's a RN by trade with 7+ years of experience in a hospital and clinic setting. Since we have a small child, 12-hour shifts are not an option as I travel for work so she is looking for 8 hour shifts. Any recommendations?

I come from a 24-hour city, and I don't expect anywhere to be like Las Vegas at all. However, is there anything open after 10pm here for a late-night bite? Maybe some pool? I'm a (f) in my mid-30s, and the club and bar scene isn't for me. Anyone know of anything fun to do for a midweek late date night?

Hello, I'm new to this I hope I'm posting this in the right area, but I'm looking to get a dog vaccinated and looking for a place that has good pricing. I priced the vet near us and I think Vetco in Petco and If memory serves me, was around $400. This doesn't sound right so reaching out to see if anyone out there knows a good place that they may have gotten their animals vaccinated for cheaper?
