Disappearing games
I keep starting games and then they vanish. It’s as if the other player has cancelled them because I had a good starting move. But, they don’t show up in my records as a win. In fact, I can’t find a stat to say how many of them there are.
I probably have 3 or 4 of these a day.
Does that mean there is a strategy to only use a mid word for the opener?
Why isn’t there a penalty for the players who do this?

Anyone else hate the new "goal" feature?
Who thought this was a good idea? As if our lives aren't tracked, quantified, judged, ranked, and weighted enough as it is? And I haven't found a way to opt out.

Anyone else wish chats between players persisted across games?
I have several perpetual matchups with folks and it would be nice to keep chatting without going back completed games to see the last thing said.
Wondering how much interest there would be in that change. And, assuming this is something other people want, hoping the NYT games team is reading this subreddit for feature requests!

Am I good?
I’ve always loved word games. Grew up playing Scrabble with my grandma and parents. I dove heavily into WWF as well. Bananagrams, Q-Less, any word games. Am I really good? Or are the computers just that bad? lol
The top two are public games. I opened the second game with “ashamed” for like 72pts.

Just resigned a game for the first time.
In my opponent’s first two turns they played sweeps for a total of 156 points. That’s just not gonna be fun for me so I’m choosing to take a loss and preserve my peace.

Weirdest finish and the most undeserving win
I’m just laughing at the win probability chart. I was pretty trash for a good part of the game. Then I scored 151 points in my last three turns.

I love English language 🇫🇷
I had two blanks so there were probably other ways of getting this 3L+3W combo on the last move but this way is particularly funny.
Also: my penultimate move was TAELS – I wanted to play TEALS (which is the word I know) but I misplaced it and didn't notice because both words are correct.

Skill and luck score meaningless?
I beat opponent by more than 100 pts, but somehow had a lower skill score and lower luck score. Am I missing something . . . Or is this weird?

Can someone explain this scoring?
The O is covering the triple word square so I thought zigs would be triple scored. Hopefully this isn't a dumb question but I'm really confused.
