Inviting all children who stutter to volunteer in a paid University of Michigan MRI Study!

The Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan is looking for children who stutter ages 9 to 12 to participate in an in-person, longitudinal MRI study! (HUM00196133)

Our research team has been examining brain development in young children to better understand the cause of stuttering for over 10 years. We continue to gain information that may eventually lead to improved diagnosis and treatment efforts for children who stutter.

Participants will be invited to complete speech and language assessments and an MRI session at the University of Michigan. Families receive a free speech and language report and a picture of their brain!

These visits require in person participation. There is no option to participate virtually.

Please fill out this form if you are interested in participating or email us as the flyer attached. All participants are compensated and partial travel assistance is available. Please see our flyer attached for more details!

We also offer other studies that are open to adults or do not involve MRI, in case you're unsure about eligibility. Feel free to email us or call if you have any questions!

Do you have to pay to transfer credits from MCC to OU every semester?

I already have a B.A. so I'm a second-degree student. Apart from paying to send in my B.A. official transcripts, I had to do the same for a 2nd CC, and now I have taken a prerequisite course at MCC and going to continue to in order to lower my cost of attendance (no financial aid for 2nd degrees).

My question is, after I take courses at MCC every semester, do I have to keep paying $5/$10 for transcripts so OU takes the courses into my degree progress?

Oakland community college

Has anyone attend OCC in Michigan ? If so, when they did your background check was it after you got selected for the program or during the application process ?

Also, have you got accepted with a misdemeanor?

Gen Chem 1 professors

Hi everyone,

I’m taking General Chemistry I this fall and I’m currently registered with Jennifer Tillinger. I’ve seen some concerning reviews, and since chemistry isn’t my strongest subject, I’m worried about taking a difficult course with an instructor who may not explain things clearly.

I noticed that a new section opened with Daniel Little, but I couldn’t find much information or any reviews for him. Has anyone taken a class with him or heard anything about his teaching style, exams, grading, or how helpful he is outside class?

Would you recommend switching to Little, or staying with Tillinger? Any advice would be appreciated.

Error message when I log into ebill

I have been trying to login into my ebill for the past 2 weeks, using different browsers and different devices and it won’t work. The ebill office is barely responding to my emails, and giving me obvious advice I’ve already told them I’ve done.

Has anybody had this problem please help.

Best off-campus housing near Oakland University/Troy? Need to move ASAP

Hi! I’m relocating to the area for a new job in Troy and need to find housing ASAP. I start work Monday, so I’m hoping to move in this weekend if possible.
I’ve been looking around Oakland University because it seems close enough to Troy, and I figured there may be more affordable off-campus housing options that I haven’t found on Zillow.
I’m primarily looking for a studio or 1-bedroom, but I’m also open to a room/shared apartment, especially if there’s an apartment community that offers roommate matching.
Furnished would be ideal since I’m relocating on very short notice, but unfurnished is completely fine too.
For those familiar with OU, what are the best off-campus apartment communities around campus? Ideally, I’d like somewhere within roughly a 10–20 minute drive of Troy, safe, reasonably priced, and well managed.
I’d especially appreciate specific apartment names, places with immediate availability, subleases or lease takeovers, or places I should avoid.
Thank you!!
