Denji becoming more "mature" after losing his memories of being Chainsaw Man reminds me of Light becoming "good" after losing his memories of being Kira. It's not real growth if they only changed because they lost their memories of having something that made them feel a sense of grandeur

Pochita, known for countless years as the "Hero of Hell" and for always getting back up, decided to erase himself after spending a period of time that's incredibly short for an ancient entity like him alongside a stupid kid who only thinks with his hormones. Denji is THAT insufferable.

"I like to see your beautiful face, not the scary Bomb" (Denji). Art by kkyong 155426

"Heh. You know, when I first fought you, I was a little sad that your pretty face disappeared behind that hideous devil head." Denji. The phrase is taken from this fanfic: https://archiveofourown.org/works/48442660/chapters/122404417#workskin

I think Denji liked seeing Reza's face as a human, but not her hybrid head in the form of a Bomb. That's why he remembered her as a person. (This fanfic was written before the release of chapter 183 of the manga and the film in general. Just in case: I am not a fanfiction author.)

Their soldier girlfriends forgot about them and moved on. Please don't laugh at them.

Funny how some people thought a manga where the protagonist spends the entire story making bad and stupid decisions wouldn't have a bad and stupid ending too

The insistence that Denji is ONLY a victim and not someone with serious mental and even moral issues has done massive damage to how people perceive his character, but you guys aren't ready for that conversation.

Not even getting into ship wars, but it’s honestly hilarious how the AsaDen shippers spent years being so arrogant about their ship being "canon" while putting down everyone else’s ships, only for Denji and Asa’s relationship to end up being one big nothing burger

Imagine going back in time to when Chapter 219 came out and telling everyone that not long after this moment, Denji would want to have sex with Yoru while she's in Asa's body

If the pool scene had happened in Part 2, Denji would just be staring at Reze's naked body with that characteristic mouth-breather face, thinking about how hot she is, instead of innocently swimming with her

I don't care if Denji retained some "experiences" after the reset. It's not the same thing for him to see snow and not remember Aki, or look at a pool and not remember Reze. These were people who were important to him and his character, and now he doesn't even know who they are

As a former Denji hater, it’s incredible how his character in Part 2 turned into the shallow version of him that I used to think he was. He REALLY it's all about sex, and everything else comes second.

CSM fans will see moments like this and think, "Yeah, Asa DEFINITELY wanted to watch Denji have sex with the evil Devil who did horrible things to her, in her own body 😁"
