Ola Scooter in service centre for more than 6 months

Hi folks, I understand it was a terrible decision to buy Ola Scooter that I bought almost 2.5 years ago. It has gone to service center 4 times since then. The issues were fixed within a day previously however this time the motor itself has gone bad due to which they kept it over a month and never opened a job card. Though, the service center guy has asked for OTP when I submitted the scooter.

One and half month later the service center was closed permanently and I don’t know what happened with my scooter after that. It’s been 5 months since the service center is closed but I’ve never received any status about the scooter.

I sent them multiple emails, sent legal notice, tagged them on X, filed a complaint on consumer forum online but I never received any kind of acknowledgement whether they have my scooter or not. They are literally clueless about what to do.

Now, I’m looking for an option to get some help to get my scooter back. I thought to visit consumer forum but the reviews are very bad. People have complained that that if you have time, patience and money then only you should visit the consumer forum because they just misguide you and keep delaying the matter.

TLDR; My scooter is in a permanently closed service center and I need help or guidance in getting it back. Appreciate any help 🙏🏽

Fuck this shit ,HELP .

My s1x+ gen 3 ,less than 1 year old has been having unlimited system issues idk why . It was having the problem when using regen sometimes and now today at 100 percent charge ,it was on issue for hours ,it didn't even start after restarting 25 times and even opening and closing the obd port .

Any ideas what issue is this ? Some over voltage stuff ?

hilarious yet funny experience at Ola showroom in memnagar , Ahmedabad 🤣

My biggest regret of not shooting it that's so crazy!!

so today me and my friend went to ola showroom located in memnagar with interest of buying ola, we be like lets check what the features , range and others. we go only 3-4 staff members are there and else customers. NO welcome nothing and we are told to sit down and after a guy came sit beside us and starting to explain and after all inquiry we asked for ride and that's smooth till now

Then we asked to ride Ola s1 pro+ that they denied and say no that's not for ride you have to buy it for that , seriously who gonna pay for 1.70 lakh without test and we insisted but they denied so we go inside to check that model how it looks like and what's the features.

Now comes the funny plot twist beside that model there is a table filled with 3-4 peoples and in corner there was an uncle waving at my friend like denying it and then i looked at uncle and uncle's hand gestures be like "No no not this go " first after seeing that we laughed like hell
and after seeing uncle's expression we can not control our laugh and went outside(I'm still laughing while writing this).uncle came outside and told us directly that don't buy this shit.

After that we asked what happened he be like wait let that sales guy go away and i told you if he listen then he not service my scooter ,In a minute uncle started his 15 minutes of biography on ola Uncle told that his ola s1 pro is in service center for 8 months i'll be like what the hell!! seriously uncle? then uncle showed us his documents that all complaints emails and other stuff

After that uncle told us that he is reporter he even publish the news article of his scooter and Even filed FIR. The amount of bad words are coming from his mouth i=even his wife next her is next level after all in anger he even pointed that sales guy that now come next to us and uncle told that this guy sold me that piece of shit. While me and me friend are Laugh our guts out!!

And after listening to the pain of uncle we dropped the plan of buying ola.
uncle showed us reality in service center of ola in sarkhej there are thousand of ola just eating dust.

so guys if you got one how's life going with ola and other Ev's

Ola Passcode Security Risk - Exposé

This happened to me today. I have an Ola S1 Pro (First Gen). I have enabled OS updates to download and install automatically. I leave the scooter's Wi-Fi turned ON at all times, and I park it within my home's Wi-Fi range every single night. Typical of Ola Electric, I received a major OS Update from MoveOS 4 to MoveOS 5 — exactly ONE full year after its release.

Want to guess how I found out?
I tried to unlock my scooter with my Passcode on the touch screen and to my surprise it said Wrong Passcode. I checked with all the users at my house and no one had changed it. I tried unlocking the vehicle through the Ola mobile app (that I regularly use), only to find that the system had logged me out entirely. When I tried logging back in - "Unable to Connect Error Code G000." Even a clean app reinstall did nothing. I was entirely locked out of my own vehicle and couldn't even log in to the app to either unlock or to book a service appointment.

Enter Customer Support over the phone...
I called them, I explained and as expected, their solution was for me to tow or somehow transport the vehicle to the nearest service center. Even though I live just 3 kms away, they generously offered the additional option to use Ola’s RSA for a cool ₹2,999. When I pointed out that this was due to the manufacturer's software issue and that I wasn't going to pay for the RSA, I got the ultimate corporate shield: "Sir, but that’s our policy..." Even better? They couldn't guarantee a same-day appointment even for an emergency lock-out situation.

Why I refuse to go to my local service center without an appointment:
For context, the last time I walked in at 4 PM for a repair, they flat-out refused to take my vehicle on a walk-in basis because:

  1. Their Visionary CEO enforced a "24-hour turnaround time" under the banner of Hyper Service. The service center technicians, under extreme duress, flat out refused to accept new vehicles after noon just to keep their TaT in good standing.
  2. The center is primarily a sales outlet whose ground floor parking lot is a makeshift service bay that’s overflowing with scooters collecting dust in a limited space.
  3. The staff for once "genuinely cared" for my vehicle by warning me that if I left it overnight, there was a high chance of rat bite damage.
  4. Mind you, I'm one of their extremely pissed-off customers who waited for 3 months just for a chassis replacement under warranty - which they replaced under "Good Will" while still charging me around 20% of the cost.

So there I was, stranded on the side of the road (thankfully near my house) with a locked handlebar so I couldn't even push-tow it, looking at the possibility of multiple tow truck trips all because of a zero-guarantee of an appointment (walk-in or over the phone), all because of a major software bug by the manufacturer.

The "Ffaaaahhhh" Moment:
In absolute desperation, I remembered I had the personal number of a service center technician from my prior innumerable visits. I called him and initially, he told me to bring it in too. But after I practically begged him to think of an alternative, his supervisor chimed in with a random suggestion: "Ask him to try the default Passcode: 000 000." I tried and Ffaaaahhhh! - I heard the delightful Unlock Click and the Welcome chime.

And what was the very first thing that flashed on the screen? "Welcome to MoveOS 5."

Silently resetting security credentials back to a factory default after an OTA update, logging the user out of the app and not notifying the user is a shocking security nightmare! If you're randomly locked out of your Ola like me, try six zeros before paying the Ola tax!

Dear Bhavish, every time I think it can't possibly get any worse, you consistently find a way to lower the bar and surprise me. Every single time!

Service center updated my Ola S1 Pro Gen 2, now the battery drops from 46% to 1% instantly. BMS or Cell 11?

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share what happened with my Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 and see if anyone has experienced something similar.
A few days ago, I started noticing that my scooter’s range had dropped significantly. I normally get around 40–50 Wh/km on my daily commute, but it suddenly increased to 70–75 Wh/km, resulting in much lower range.
I took the scooter to the Ola service center. In the morning, they told me they would trigger an update and asked me to come back later. Around 1:30 PM, they called me and said they’d perform a BMS flow. They also did something they referred to as a “curl update” and then told me the issue was fixed.
I left the service center, but after riding only about 3 km, the battery percentage suddenly dropped from 46% to 1%.
I stopped the scooter and restarted it. The battery immediately went back to 46%, so I assumed it was just a display bug. I continued riding, but about a minute later it happened again—46% to 1%.
I had to push the scooter around 3 km back to the service center.
They checked it again and told me the issue could be:
A faulty BMS board, or
Battery Cell 11.
They also showed me a battery graph where Cell 11 was significantly lower than the other cells.
The frustrating part is that before the service, my only complaint was reduced range. The scooter never randomly dropped from 46% to 1% while riding. That issue started immediately after the BMS flow/update.
I’m not saying the update definitely caused it, but the timing is hard to ignore.
Has anyone here experienced:
Battery percentage jumping from around 40–50% to 1%?
A faulty BMS board causing incorrect battery readings?
A weak battery cell causing the same symptoms?
If your scooter had a similar issue, what was the final fix? Was it a BMS replacement, battery module/pack replacement, or something else?
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 suddenly consuming much more energy despite riding slower

Hi everyone,
I’m using an Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 with around 16k+ km on it, and today I noticed some strange battery behavior.
Normally, my college commute gives me around 40–55 Wh/km. For example:
23 June: 27.9 km → 46.8 Wh/km
But today (1 July):
Morning ride: 19.7 km → 74.9 Wh/km
Afternoon ride: 19.9 km → 70.7 Wh/km
The strange part is that I was riding slower on July 1 than I was on June 23. There was some rain during the morning ride, but I was taking it easy. The afternoon ride was on dry roads, and the efficiency was still around 70 Wh/km.
I also noticed that:
I reached home with 11% battery, which felt lower than expected.(normally there will be atleast 50 percent)
The scooter appeared to charge from 11% to 100% much faster than it normally does.

Its my friend’s S1 pro he shared me this he said it started making some noise and displayed some error of battery so he started recording any idea what happened and can the warranty be claimed?
He said it not turning on has not updated anything after that

Ather has more charging stations in kolkata than ola has in half of india .

I regret ola ? sort of ? i had options ? not really , the price and range still serve me well but the service is bad . kolkata hypercharger is broken so , yah WB has 0 chargers and even their SC sockets are broken , like one out of 4 works at times . Ola raises so much money but literally does nothing for consumers , how about exclusive service centres and hyperchargers like is it really such a big deal to have operational hyperchargers when people pay for moveos+ , they expect some peace of mind

Overnight battery drain on new Ola S1 X

My new Ola S1 X is around 30 days old. Every night the battery drops by 1–2% while parked (for example, 65% at night to 63% in the morning). Is this normal, or should I get it checked? Anyone else experiencing the same?

Booked an Ola for ₹350, ended up paying ₹410 after the ride

Booked an Ola today to Connaught Place. When I booked the ride, the fare shown was ₹350. But after we reached the destination, the driver asked me to pay ₹410 instead.
I understand drivers have their own challenges, but asking for extra money after the ride is over doesn’t feel right. We are working-class people too, and we also have a limited budget. Even ₹60 matters when you’re planning your daily expenses.
If the fare is supposed to change, it should be reflected in the app before or during the ride—not after reaching the destination. Has anyone else experienced something similar with Ola recently?

Hi guys I'm planning to buy ola s1 pro gen2 coming to my usecase my brother travels everyday around 60 km for college. But I came to know that ola has a lot of technical glitches and even service issues that make you wait for 2 months. Coming to current petrol vehicles I'm confused because of e85 or e20 vehicles are getting rusted and getting spoiled. So any buy of this ola bike can you guide me is this a good buy for this use case. Is there any alternatives. Also which is best option for buying these ebikes single payment or emi. Incase of EMI shall I pause paying emi if the bike I bought got spoiled with few months and hanging out in service center. Please help me I don't wanna lose my money.

I need help SYSTEM ISSUE A25

Morning I was riding scooter to collage in the middle road it suddenly got system issue a25 , before that it has some problems in acceleration etc , it issued to stuck and all , initially I thoight it’s the problem but after somtimes when I turned scooter handle left , the system issue problem would go away and I could ride , but after few km comes back , I thoight wiring harness issue but that also I checked myself but I didn’t see any visible damage to it , now it woundt go drive mode and alway shows system issue a25 , if anyone could figure out what is the problem it would be damn helpful , I am a collage students so I need it resolved badly and nearby Ola service centres are closed too

Ola S1 pro gen 1 Which Type of Wall socket is recommended

Hi, so I'm an owner of the gen 1 ola S1 pro. My pg has only the smaller 5A socket, can i buy a 5a to 16a socket coz my scooter has the bigger type of adapter and does not fit into a normal wall socket.

Hope it doesn't cause any short circuit. Need help ‼️
