Ekart says my iPhone 17 is missing after "Out for Delivery". What should I do next?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice because I'm really stressed about this situation.

I ordered an iPhone 17 from Flipkart during the recent GOAT Sale using the HDFC Bank offer. The phone cost ₹76,348 (around ₹83,000 with EMI).

Here's the timeline:

3 July: Order shipped.

4 July (6:49 AM): Status changed to Out for Delivery.

Later that evening, the status changed to Delivery Rescheduled.

I never received any delivery call or OTP.

Today, I went to the local Ekart hub in person. The staff there told me something unexpected:

They said the parcel is missing.

The delivery executive says he never received the parcel from the hub.

They suspect it may have been misplaced inside the office and said they are checking the CCTV footage. They promised to update me by the evening.

I also called Flipkart Customer Care. They said they have escalated the issue to their backend team, but they told me the investigation may take 2 days.

A few important points:

This was an Open Box Delivery.

I have not received the phone.

I have not shared any OTP.

I have not canceled the order because I bought it during the GOAT Sale and don't want to lose the sale price and Bank offer.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Did Ekart eventually find the parcel?

If the parcel is declared lost, did Flipkart provide a replacement at the original sale price, or only a refund?

Is there anything else I should do right now besides waiting for the investigation?

Any advice or similar experiences would be really helpful.

Thank you.

Ontrac's own delivery photo

What a joke of a company they are. This box had "LIve Plant - Handle With Care" all over it.

Delivered early on July 4th with no complaints

I’ve seen a ton of bad reviews for this company but I just got an unexpected early delivery from one of my orders. The fact that they delivered it today even though it’s a holiday is kinda wild to me.

No update with tracking

I ordered the new Commodore 64 Ultimate and unfortunately Commodore is using Ontrac. The last update I received was three days ago. From what I've read here, this seems to be common for them. Is there any way to speak with an actual human? I just need to know WHEN to be home to watch for them.

Are they ever going to deliver my package?

I was sitting in front of my apartment door both times with a friend, exactly on both attempts, and nobody showed up. Didn't even have an out for delivery status on the second one. I've contacted customer service multiple times, but they've only given me scripted responses to wait one or two more days, no information about the attempts, and no excuses for me not seeing anyone come by. Am I fucked?

This fraudulent company needs to be shut down

I’ve never once successfully received a package with ontrac. I had something to be delivered for my own wedding from revolve with ontrac. They took a picture of a bunch of packages at my building that was purposefully blurry. Guess what? No package, no after party dress for me!

“Unable to Deliver”

I’ve never had a seamless delivery from OnTrac. Over the winter, our neighbors found some of our packages at a house across town along with their own missing packages. The next time we had a delivery notification from OnTrac, it was at the same house. This house’s address is not similar in any way. Since then, every time a package is “out for delivery”, I end up getting a notification that says “Unable to Deliver, update delivery instructions” or “Unable to Deliver- Incomplete Address”. How can a logistics company be this incompetent?

"Delivered" to next door neighbor, But I walk over and its not even there.

$300 worth of clothes I ordered. Delivery photo is of my neighbor's porch. 2 min later I walk over and my box isn't even there but two other boxes are. Submitted a ticket with them but I guess I have to tell the place I bought from that I never got it. This is the second time this week this has happened after literally never happening for 10 years.

They got me too. This is from a while back

Like tittle says This is from a while back but I was seeing some of your posts so I’m sharing my experience. They said it was delivered but who knows if they did. There was nobody at home at that time. My wife believes the driver stole my sneakers

I am done with this company.

Fire it takes three days to move my package from Miami to Orlando and then it stays in the same place for two days. My package was supposed to get to me by the 20th of june. Ik this happens to many people so what's the point of even continuing a company that you know most people in the US basically knows that people don't like you services.

I quit ontrac and it was the best Decision of my life

I worked in an ontrac warehouse for years, dealing with constant changing policies and high turnover. Half the time I would be sent home from work because of overstaffing and then they hire more people, expecting people to quit or call out. They have no work life balance because they don't give enough hours to live, let alone have a life.

I would never recommend anyone to work there and now I have a great job with amazing benefits and hours that believe is good work life balance.

Delivered my package to wrong address

They straight up just delivered my package to the wrong address idk how that’s even possible. The picture they provided for the drop off was a house I’ve never seen before.

Contacted customer service and they were like yeah there is photo proof of delivery so there’s nothing we can do sorry.

Thankfully the dude who got the package brought it to my house.

I am very patient but holy god

I am a very calm and reasonable person. It really takes a lot to piss me off. 3 attempts to deliver to my business that closes at 5 PM. Reached out to support all three times that the business closes at 5 PM please deliver before that. Every single time out of the three times the delivery was attempted at 6 PM. How is this company is business?

How does it take three days to move one package.

I was supposed to get it on the 20th of June but they sent it to Miami and now it's in Orlando which are three hours part from each other. How does it take three days to move my package. And now I ain't even mad anymore tbh I am just disappointed in the service.

Ontrac won't deliver my package. Incomplete address. We need additional information to complete your delivery and avoid a return.

My address is not incomplete. It's a valid address that I get packages delivered to every day. No gates, no restrictions. It's a house on a street.

Ontrac refuses to deliver. Every morning I get a text saying that my address is incomplete and package won't be delivered. I have gone on their chat and opened a case and they tell me "they will try again on the next business day" and then again they don't deliver.

How do I fix this? They are very important packages I bought from walmart and walmart and Ontrac won't do anything about it.

The Worst!

In both my personal and professional life, I have dealt with OnTrac more times than I care to count, and not once has a package been delivered on time. Every single shipment seems to be delayed, misrouted, or mishandled.

The latest disaster involved a meal delivery service. My package, containing perishable food packed with ice packs, was scheduled to arrive on the 21st. Instead, OnTrac "mis-sorted" it, and I didn't receive it until the 24th. By then, the food was completely spoiled and had to be thrown away.

At this point, if I see a company uses OnTrac, I immediately lose confidence in the delivery. Thankfully, the vendors I work with have always made things right, but they shouldn't have to absorb the cost of OnTrac's repeated failures.

In my opinion, this is the worst shipping company in the industry. I would gladly pay extra to ship with FedEx or UPS. Honestly, even USPS has proven to be far more reliable. I will never voluntarily choose OnTrac for anything.

"Business closed. Please provide hours"

I am the business. I was there. I was open. In fact, our door was open and I was staring at it.

This is after three attempts of deliveries at 8PM!!!! We've had the same hours for twenty years what is so hard to get???? Ugh. This happens ALL THE TIME. Ridiculous. I wish companies wouldn't use this service. The only one worse is SpeedX.

Delivery date yesterday, says not yet received?

My first time using OnTrac for tracking, so I'm a little confused. It says expected delivery June 22nd, aka yesterday, but it also says not yet received from sender?
