Field Controls TRIO Pro Air Purifier is currently on sale at costco.com for $240($60 off from $300). No membership require.

$60 savings is valid 7/10/26 through 7/19/26. While supplies last.

Sharing this here cuz I think it’s a pretty decent performance to price ratio value, comparable to the Winix C909 even at it’s sale price of $160. Only con is that the trio pro filter cost is $69 compared to c909 $40 filter($30 if on sale).

Trio Pro filter is cheaper on costco.com but the listing has been removed from the website I think, you will have to order directly from Field Controls website which is $69.

I will list the performance, noise levels, and power consumption for each fan speed below:

Cop snatched phone out of a civilian hand and search through it during a traffic stop

According to the person who posted this, this is an Oakland County Officer searching through his phone unlawfully after asking for proof of insurance, and he recorded this using his work phone.

This is copy-paste from his vague statement in the comment section:
-Diggyjr: Took it from me when he asked for my insurance -Diggyjr: Never gave it back didn’t get a ticket and he took my car too😴
-Diggyjr: Ask me for proof of documentations, took my phone and started going through it
-Diggyjr: My work phone

Obviously the guy is leaving out some details and not providing the full context, but regardless I can’t think of a situation where an officer can lawfully snatch your phone from you and go through it during a traffic stop beside just viewing the insurance card image.

Please help me, is this noise normal in the Hardwired First Alert SC5 alarm? Feels like support is gaslighting me tbh

I’m posting in this sub since the SC5 is the successor to the discontinued nest smoke&co alarm

I bought this Hardwired First Alert SC5 from best buy on May 7, 2026. I test the unit every week or twice a month, today when testing it I notice a weird sound that appears when the speaker is speaking. It’s the first time that I noticed it, is it normal?

I tested it again with the wire unplugged using the backup battery and the weird static noise still persist.

First Alert technical support told me that they didn’t hear anything static noise that I was describing and that it sounded normal. At first I thought the microphone of my phone didn’t pick it up in the call, but when I listen to the call recording(I was recording the call for “quality assurance” like all companies usually do), there’s clearly an abnormal static noise that he’s ignoring.

I attached a part of the recording in the post.
