No movie ever won all 4 but 12 of the 15 movies won at least 1. My Man Godfrey, Sunset Boulevard and American Hustle are the only ones that didn't win any of the 4 acting awards. However Sunset Boulevard is the only one that did win some Oscars despite not winning any for acting

Don't get me wrong, I see more than Oscar-buzzy movies, but it's apt for this sub. (I also watched the newest Evil Dead..)

Christopher Nolan's Brand New Fantasy Epic "The Odyssey", Will Get 13 Nominations From Academy. These Are ; Best Picture, Directing, Lead Actor, Adapted Screenplay, Supporting Actress, Editing, Cinematography, Original Score, Casting, Visual Effects, Sound, Costume Design and Production Design.

The great people of ShortStick Films go over various short films that could contend at next year's Oscars. They also note that there's only 3 months left for shorts to qualify because they have a different qualifying window.

Considering shorts are the films that usually hold up people's Death Races, this is a great resource for what to potentially watch out for. The people who run this site have a pretty solid predictive track record when it comes to shorts. Also, shorts are just nifty imo.

While it isn't very common for Best Picture winners to win both Best Director and any for acting (only 44 of the 98 movies that won Best Picture won both) it's very common for them to win any of them or both of them. 85 of the 98 movies that won Best Picture also won Best Director and/or any for acting. Have been seeing some recent trailers for some likely contenders for the death race, several look exciting. Your thoughts on additions and/or any you’re particularly excited about?

•Digger, Tom Cruise in full prosthetics, John Goodman, directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Baldo…, Birdman…) Looks like Dr. Strangelove meets Don’t Look Up.

•Behemoth, Pedro Pascal, written and directed by Michael Clayton’s Tony Gilroy. Selling more of a mood than a plot in the preview.

•I Play Rocky, biopic about struggling unknown Sylvester Stallone’s battle to play the lead in the movie he wrote, which happens to be one of the greatest sports movies of all time. The Academy loves movies that glorify moviemaking.

•Wildwood, stop motion animation after a long gap from the studio of Kubo and the Two Strings, The Boxtrolls and Coraline. Looks a little like Labyrinth, minus David Bowie’s bulge.

•Wild Horse Nine, Sam Rockwell and John Malkovitch are CIA agents in the 70’s, written and directed by Martin McDonagh (Three Billboards…, In Bruges, The Banshees of Inisherin) McDonough isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I’m always excited when he’s in the race.

•The Debut, Jesse Eisenberg’s follow up to A Real Pain, looks to have a similarly dark-humored tone about a Svengali community theater director (Paul Giamatti) and a bored housewife/newby actress (Julianne Moore)

Like a lot of people here, i am quite a film nerd who loves tracking my own version of the oscars winners and nominees. so i built my own website, The website shows all the nominees for each category of a given year, from there you can select your own nominees, chose popular choses or pick from the original pool. you can also upload your letterboxd csv to see all the films you've logged for a given year to make things easier. You can also export your ballots as a .txt and allows you to share your ballot with friends
