[Book Request] MMC has a literal "inner beast" / separate entity inside his head that has its own voice and is obsessed with the FMC

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for paranormal, fantasy, or sci-fi romance books where the Male Main Character (MMC) shares his mind/body with a literal inner beast or separate entity that has its own distinct voice and personality.

Ideally, I want a dynamic where:

•The inner beast/entity has its own thoughts and actively talks to the MMC.

•The inner beast is absolutely feral or deeply possessive over the Female Main Character (FMC), claiming her as his "mate" or "mine" before the human MMC even realizes it or accepts it.

•The FMC sometimes interacts with or notices the shift when the "other side" takes the driver's seat.

I don't care about the specific species—he can be a werewolf, dragon, fae, demon, alien, or monster. I just really want that distinct dual-mind vibe where the monster inside him is completely unhinged and obsessed with her.

!! My only drawback is monster smut !!

Drop as many recommendations as possible please because I've read many books and can't name all of them 😭Thank you!

Does anyone remember the Die for Me trilogy by Amy Plum?

Basic plot synopsis: The protagonist Kate moves to Paris to live with her grandparents after her parents died in a car crash, where she meets and falls in love with Vincent, >!an undead creature called a Renevant that lives to sacrifice himself to save the lives of humans.!<

I recently rediscovered this series I was obsessed with at 13 and was a little bummed to find out that it's barely talked about. It kinda had it's moment during the paranormal romance craze in the early 2010s but was later forgotten.

The portrayal of Paris is over romanticised, but nevertheless, it's got a lot of atmosphere, and as the entire series is escapism I don't really mind. There's just something about the vibe that's instantly captivating, especially in the first book. People call it a Twilight ripoff, but personally I even prefer this male lead to Edward. The air of mystery really reeled me in, plus Vincent is very respectful and much more approachable (the fact that he's technically 80+ years old dating a high schooler aside, but that's kinda par the course for YA paranormal romance). I enjoyed the heroine Kate in the first book, her grief for her parents felt reasonably realistic and she's more of an emancipated type, which suits my tastes better >!Though in the final installment she unfortunately becomes somewhat of a power fantasy protagonist while also losing most of that pensiveness that made her interesting in the first one. In general I was a little disappointed that the story shifted from mistery with slight horror vibes to more of a straight forward action plot in the later two books..!<

Overall the first book is my shit and the following two I'm more mixed on, but they still hold a special place in my heart. Overall I just wish it had a more active fan base so I can have someone to talk to ~

Looking for romance between human MMC and dragon FMC

I really would like to find these type of books, because unlike any men who wants to defeat a dragon and save the princes, I would like to in the other hand choose dragoness over a princess.

If anyone have a title in mind, pls share them with me, I'll add them to my list.

Male shifter x female human / shifter recs

I'm new to paranormal romance. (I usually read high fantasy romance). But I love shifters, and there's honestly not many in high fantasy tbh, besides dragon shifters.

I have Bride and Mate already on my TBR, but I want to know what else is out there. I've tried searching on romance.io but the "werewolves" tag isn't specific enough, since a book could technically *have* werewolves in it but neither the fmc or mmc is one themselves. So it makes a lot to sort through.

I'm looking for shifter mmc, i.e. werewolf or other, and the fmc is either human, or a shifter as well. If she is human, she needs to either become a shifter by the end of the book, or atleast, have her life extended to match the mmc. Needs to be spice level of 3 or higher.

Things I don't like:

- absolutely no non/con, or consenual non con. I can tolerate a little bit of dub con, but would rather avoid that as well. If the mmc attempts something like this I want the FMC to immediately put him in his place.

- no rejected mate trope, *Unless*, the rejection is because the one rejecting is trying to protect the other mc, but in the end, those two still end up together.

-No love triangle, or om/ow. I cannot stand it when one of the mcs has s*x with someone other than eachother once the series starts. It's an immediate dnf for me. I can only tolerate om/ow if the mmc and fmc only have eyes for eachother, and the om/ow is only there to cause jealousy and tension.

-no breeding kink / pregnancy trope. I want the focus to be on their desire for eachother. Not their desire to procreate. It's ok if they have children in the epilogue, or something, but I don't want it to be the main focus of their relationship.

-no poly or reverse harem. MxF only, no MxM please. .... I could take some FxF recs tho if any exists.

-(Content Warning) The FMC cannot have been r*ped in her past. I can handle past SA that didn't involve penetration, but any more than that makes me extremely uncomfortable. I can handle it if it is a third party character, just not the FMC.

Things I do like:

I really enjoy fated mates, but it is not a requirement.

I enjoy it when there is a good amount of scenes with MMC (and even FMC) in their shifted forms. Whether they are playing, hunting, or fighting.

I much prefer sweet/kind mmcs over mean/alphahole mmcs, but I'll read all sorts.

Thank you for the recs in advance!

Need Reverse Age Gap Suggestions

Just saw a post asking if anyone was interested in reverse ago gap. I’ve been really into reverse age gap lately but I can’t find many. I tried romance.io but didn’t find much. Can anyone suggest some? Preferably on KU, but doesn’t have to be. Would prefer half decent writing and plot, not all smut just to have it. Bonus points if FMC is curvy or has chronic illness.

I’m not really into really dark romance, or mafia, or MC. I’ll read them if they’re good, though.

Monster, alien, PRN and RH are fine, too.

Kink is fine.

MF or MFM, MMF and reverse harem are fine.

Thank you!!

Shifter trope with complicated storyline like the Wolf King by Lauren Palphreyman

Okay I need some help. I didn’t realize I’m tired of the fated mate trope that is easily predictable even if the FMC experiences some horrific trauma that might make her reject.
The wolf king has a couple of things I like

  1. >!A “mate” that does not end up being a true mate!<
  2. Very complicated political intrigue
  3. Otherworldly issues
  4. FMC undergoes trauma.
    \->!imprisonment, silver burns!<
\-honestly >!due to my own trauma issues I wish there was more sexual trauma.!<

Idk the entire series seems so much more complicated.
I really am only very familiar with dark romance like still beating by Jennifer hartmann or Los diablos syndicate by Bex Dawn.

But I really like the shifter trope especially where a mate feels what the other does.
Helpppppp
