I've been bitten TWICE this week by supposedly slow-burn books that have had "I can't stop thinking about her..." before page 100. That's two DNFs! I'm losing my mind.

So, I need some PROPER slow-burn recs. I'm in the mood for paranormal books at the moment, preferably with a human FMC - I'm seeing lots and lots of witches, but not many humans. I'd also like it to be a world where the supernatural are not widely known, and she's unaware of the paranormal at the start. Would love a MMC who ISN'T a total arsehole - he can be a grump, but not mean. I'm also not a fan of fated mates and I hate, hate, HATE insta-love AND insta-lust, so... like, real slow burn.

Bonus points if she's inexperienced. Other than that, not too fussed!

I come to you today to request, quite possibly, the strangest thing I have ever come in here to request: vanilla-adjacent RH.

I love my kinky books as much as the next girl, but sometimes I just want something a bit softer and sweeter. I don't need it to be 100% sweet all the time, but I'd love something with doting on all sides.

Prefer RH where everyone dates everyone or, at least, there are firm links inside the harem (all the focus on the girl isn't always my cup of tea, even friendships between the other members of the harem is a MUST, though I prefer MM in my book). Aside from that, I'm also not a fan of insta-love/lust, I like a slow- or medium-burn. No bullying inside the harem. Other than that, I'm pretty open - I love all genres. TIA!
