portable monitor

Hi everyone!

I’m thinking about buying a portable monitor, but I don’t really know much about the subject.

So far, I’ve come across the ARZOPA Z1RC.

https://www.arzopa.com/products/arzopa-z1rc-2k-portable-monitor-brilliant-qhd-500nits-8bit-display?srsltid=AfmBOopzTlY7clux8rsgJkf6XDScSFFFiq_0tGOaaKXCobL7TZmo0A6N

My question is: is it worth the €100 I’d be paying? Is there anything cheaper that’s still good?

I’m not a gamer. I just want it for work and maybe watching a movie now and then. I’m a teacher, so my main use would mostly be Word. My current PC is a Surface Pro 7.

Help with my sensor panel please

I’m having a weird problem with my sensor panel. It is alternating between color and black and white about every second. I am using Aida64 extreme and Spacedesk to run it. If I move the sensor panel to my main monitor it doesn’t do it, and if the sensor panel isn’t on the tablet it doesn’t alternate but it does go black and white wherever the mouse pointer goes. If I stop moving the pointer and let it sit on the tablet it goes back to color. Any idea where to start?

Idea for a headset rest

Hi everybody,

Not 100% sure if that's fitting the rules of this sub but here I am.

That's a prototype I would like to make for a headset rest (maybe even create a brand out of it, but right that's just an idea, I'm not here to sell you anything).

I'm posting this because I would like to know what y'all think about the design.

Some specs:

White part will be made in PA12 (nylon), base will be made out of aluminium, both 3D printed.

The wavy part that you can see in the base and in the arch is a structure called "gyroid". No AI was used at all, I can send proof pictures if anyone interested.

Would like to hear what you think about it =)

Edit: idea was to have a premium look and playing with lattices structures

Downsized

Had to surrender my office to turn it into a bedroom for the youngins. Feels pretty clean, got some shelving/storage to fill in the space on the left coming. What yall think?

This used to be a proper lounge setup, now it’s basically turned into storage + spare parts overflow.

Still has the base though: sofa, wall-mounted TV, lighting, big desk, plus a stack of old consoles and monitors.

Plan is to fully reset it into a clean gaming/work space (2–3 monitor setup), while keeping all the storage functional (including the chaos).

Got a couple before pics, will post the transformation once it’s done. Maybe a full day sprint for 2 days starting from this weekend.

Throw me some cool ideas and suggestions fellas.

Wanting to spice up my setup

Does anyone have any suggestions? Just moved around my room and have realised my setup is really bland. Not sure where to start but I'm thinking of getting some acoustic panels already.
