I'd love to know, out of all the albums, which of Petey's songs is your favorite and what does it mean to you?

For me, "Breathing the same air" could play on repeat all day and I wouldn't get sick of it. I've entered the age where all my friends are either moving away, having kids, or both. I'm finding a lot aging comes with a bit of involuntary isolation and it's tough. One of my oldest best friends moved across the country and really retracted the effort they were putting into maintaining a friendship. It came to a head and now we just don't talk anymore. These are all just facets of life I'm sure but no one prepares you for what it will truly feel like therefore "staying occupied makes everything less hard". The song can mean a few things depending on my mood but it's my number one.

Does anyone else appreciate the Modest Mouse “Bukowski” style of the chorus the second time thru? It’s almost like off-key or intentionally sharp, and the speak-sing of it hits so nicely. I love that part so much.

Just came here to express how much I love him/them? Is it a band? A dude? Like a Steely Dan type sitch? Idk. Randomly heard the song Don't Tell the Boys about a year ago from a random Spotify playlist and have been listening to their albums on repeat, since. Thanks (for once) Mr. Algo.

Anyways...

I don't do most socials. Just Reddit and tik tok for the shop. I know. Tik tok. I'm broke and just bought a new bra for 10 bucks when Amazon had the same one for 30. Amazon sucks, too. We're fucked if we do and fucked if we don't. I'm trying.

That being said...I don't know much about these guys... however, I'm putting together my Queen sized bedframe (that came in forty bajillion pieces) in my freshly painted bedroom and the album The Yips is my soundtrack and it feels so, so good!!
