Bodyguard 2.0 issue

Hi everyone, I apologize for the long post but I’m trying to get some insight here. My girlfriend recently bought a bodyguard 2.0 for her first carry gun and it has been nothing but a headache. It has what seems to be a common issue of it not returning to battery. The day she bought the gun we went to the range and it had at least 3-4 failure to fire’s out of 50 rounds. (I know this isn’t a lot of rounds it was ridiculously hot out and neither of us wanted to be outside for a long time) When we got home I cleaned and oiled the gun and it is still having issues. I can get it to repeatedly get stuck out of battery with or without a magazine (loaded and unloaded) by barely manipulating the slide. The only time it doesn’t get hung up is before the reset after pulling the trigger. Also she opted for a belly band type holster because she wears a lot of athletic type clothes and whenever she sits down and the thing ends up out of battery again. I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth sending more rounds through it to try and break it in or just go back to the store she bought it from and see what they can do to get her something that will actually function when she needs it to. For reference she was in the army for several years and grew up around guns so it definitely isn’t user error. Any input would be greatly appreciated, she’s very disappointed with the gun so far.

SIG P365X Coyote — Didn’t See This One Coming

My buddy let me try his at the range, and I was surprised by how well it shot. With my big hands, I didn’t think a smaller pistol would work this well for me. I’m normally a full-size pistol guy, but I liked it enough to add this one to the pistol lineup.

HK USP Tactical .40 S&W — Old-School Iron

This one is just pure old-school cool. Big HK, big .40, built like a brick and smooth as anything.

Not the smallest. Not the lightest but I still carry this beast, and .40 S&W is absolutely still in my rotation.

2011 grip

I am looking for a new grip safety because my thumb is slowing the slide down. I can’t decide between a lowered safety or a high shielded safety. What words of wisdom do you all have for me.

Also while scrolling through all the various options I noticed on 2As website they show a demo gun as one with custom molded palm swells on the grip module. How would one do this? I don’t see any info online about it and it seems like a good idea. Why don’t more shooters do this considering every bullseye gun you’ll see has molded grips.

Small upgrade, better grip on the P365X

I have a few other SIGs, but I really like this P365X as well. Added an updated baseplate and it’s a small change that gives the grip a better feel in the hand. Fit seems solid, quality feels good, and it adds just enough without making the pistol bulky. Practical little upgrade for a great pistol.

Got carried away again!

Once again dumped way too much money into a Glock. Shit gets away from you real quick. There went another $1700. Could have bought another 2011 for that.

Glock shipping question/ CA

Hey I moved back to Cali from Idaho recently with my incomplete G43 receiver and want to finish it, purchasing the slide. Thinking full upper for now. So with the new law going into effect, I don’t know how im going to purchase one. As ive been looking and turned down on ebay as also said will NOT ship to california. Not quite sure if this applies to slide or other parts being this gun model is not on CA roster…. but regardless or not would have to go to FFL or can ship directly to home? How im going to get what i need, i dont know… Much help would be very appreciated. Thank you!

Is this a Sile Grip?

I found this in my dad's old things. Is it a Sile Grip? It was in the Sile box. I see no indication on the actual grip. Is it worth anything to anyone? Thanks!

Question for Talon Grip users: peeling edges and adhesion

I've used Talon Grips on a few pistols and generally like the product, but I've had some issues with the edges lifting/peeling over time on certain firearms, especially around heavily textured factory grips. I have a hellcat pro and a CZ P-10 that are peeling.

For those who have experienced peeling:

  • What firearm model was it on?
  • How long after installation did it start lifting?
  • Did you reinstall with a new set or were you able to re-stick it?
  • Has anyone used contact cement or another adhesive to re-secure the grip?
  • If so, what product did you use and did it affect the polymer frame finish or make future removal difficult?

I've followed the normal installation process (cleaning, heat, pressure), so I'm curious whether this is just a limitation of some frame textures or if there are better solutions people have found.

One thing I've been wondering is whether rough factory stippling plays a role. It seems like very aggressive textures would reduce the actual contact area available for the adhesive compared to a smoother frame.

Looking for real-world experiences and long-term results.
