Wish the Pixel Buds 2a had some sort of tracker

I lost my case somewhere today because I woke up at 3 am and Was In a mindless rush, I have been searching for hours and can not find them. I wish the google buds 2a had at the very least soms type of speaker on the case to play when lost, I am incredibly pissed as I lost my right earbud to a water spill 3 weeks ago and Now I have to buy a whole new set because thats cheaper than the replacement 😐

Phone call breaks up when walk away from computer

I keep both Multipoint and Audio Switch on when at work, which means my Buds Pro 2 are connected to both my Pixel 9 as well as my Windows laptop.

When sitting at my desk, that all works great!

The problem is that when I walk away from my desk (holding my phone and earbuds in ears) if I'm speaking to someone on the phone, they complain I'm breaking up, although I continue to hear them just fine. I assume that has to do with the earbuds struggling to stay connected to my (then distant) laptop.

I don't want to have to disable Multipoint and/or Audio Switch every time I need to take a call away from my desk. Is there an easy fix/workaround for this?

3rd Case not Charging in 6 months. Pixel Buds Pro 2

They aren't giving me any flack about RMA'ing it, but I'm out a couple weeks for shipping and it's annoying. I know sometimes shit happens, but am I just unlucky or is this a known issue with these?

Question regarding pixel buds pro 2 and sleep

I just ordered a pair of these and didn't even think about why I was in the first place, my current ear buds are the first Gen pixelbuds from many years ago and I like to listen to asmr to sleep and when I wake up they are dead every time. Will these turn off after a certain amount of time or do they hold charge over night?

Best buds for conversation detection?

I have pixel buds pro 2 and it's described as it works when YOU speak. I had the Galaxy buds years ago and seem to remember then working when others speak (which is what I'd ideally like) was I remembering this right and if I wasn't what earbuds do this?

Pixel Buds 2A - Ohrstöpsel/ Tips

Liebe Community,

Vielen Dank Euch vorweg. :)

Pixel buds Pro 2

So I've recently moved to the pixel system after many years of apple and Samsung, but I gotta say I'm a little disappointed with the buds, the noise cancelling is meh at best, I have really bad anxiety so most of the time I would just have my air pods on noise cancelling and it was perfect. I also can't get them to stay in my ears, the fit test won't complete. It's a shame because I've been heavily using Gemini and find the hands free feature really helpful. Any glaring obvious things I'm missing with the buds ? I've never had these kind of headphones so maybe I'm just missing the obvious

Improved ANC to roll out this September for Pixel Buds Pro 2

I wish they tried to do something about the inconsistent microphone, but this is better than nothing.

Pixel buds 2a - worth to buy ? pros and cons ?

I’m considering buying the Pixel Buds 2a. I previously used OnePlus Buds for nearly 3-4 years, and I was very happy with their overall quality, especially the sound and bass. Unfortunately, the battery on the right earbud has stopped working, and I was unable to get it replaced. The staff at a OnePlus showroom also advised me not to purchase OnePlus products anymore, which made me a little hesitant.

However, I’m still interested in the OnePlus Buds 4 because I’ve heard good things about their sound quality and features, and my friend has had a good experience with them. Since I’m using a Pixel 9, I’m also considering the Pixel Buds 2a for better compatibility.

My main concern is the sound quality, especially the bass, as I prefer a strong and enjoyable bass response. Considering the price range, features, battery life, and overall audio quality, would the Pixel Buds 2a be a good alternative to the OnePlus Buds 4? Can I expect a similar level of sound quality and bass from the Pixel Buds 2a?

Left Pixel Buds Pro 2 unresponsive and won't pair – fixable or buy a replacement?

Hi everyone,

Looking for some advice on what to do with my Pixel Buds Pro 2.

The Issue: My left earbud completely stopped responding. The case isn't detecting it at all, while the right earbud works totally fine.

What I've tried so far:

  1. Cleaned all charging contacts on both the case and the earbud.
  2. Left it on the charger for a long time (including applying physical pressure to make sure it contacts).
  3. Tried the "plug insertion" trick to kickstart a dead battery.
  4. Attempted a full factory reset (holding the back button for 30s with the case plugged in). The case just makes a single beep sound and fails to enter pairing mode because it doesn't recognize the left earbud.

Questions:

  1. Is there any known way or board repair trick to fix/revive a completely dead earbud in this state, or is it basically non-repairable?
  2. Is it simpler to just buy a standalone replacement left earbud second-hand? Has anyone successfully synced a loose earbud to their original case/right earbud?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Pixel 2a.

I have the 2a and I like them. But my app on my Google 9a has nothing on it. No setup options. No equalizer.

Is this normal?

They are synced to the app, and show.

Strange. Because the app is useless otherwise.

The one thing I hate about the galaxy buds 4 pro ...

they are perfect love them, I could sleep with them and use them to mute sounds

the controls actually work

but

the pinch click sound is so jarring

it feels like the membrane plastic of the headphones that vibrate sound is being pressed not enjoyable at all

Pixel Buds Dead? They won't charge? I fixed it!

My left side pixel buds pro 2 bud went dead. When I popped it into the case there was no audible "ploop, I'm home" sound. My pixel phone could no longer see the left bud.

I followed all of the recommended steps to fix it, and nothing worked. No cleaning, reseating, resetting, unpairing.

In fact, the case refused to do a factory reset - I guess because it could not detect the left bud.

The last thing that I tried which ultimately worked, was to leave the bud out of the case for 48 hours, to drain any bit of power still left.

I charged the case to 100%, and then placed the bud back into the case. Nothing happened. I thought that experiment had failed, but about 36 hours later I opened the case and my phone detected both buds, reporting the left one at 1% power.

I plugged the case into a USBC charger cable and it charged up to 100% perfectly.

You're welcome. 😁

Pixel Buds 2a - FMD

Hey all,

People using the pixel buds 2a, how has your experience been with Find My Device? Have you been able to find the earbuds even when they're in the case or is it a lost cause with case closed?

Found them on sale for $105, seemed like a good buy at that price.

Pixel Buds Pro 1 - ANC issue?

Hi all,

I've been using pbp1 since February? In the beginning ANC was awesome, I couldn't hear nearly anything around me when the buds were plugged in, but lately I can hear when people talk, music from outside. I turned ANC off, switched to transparency mode, then turned ANC on again, but didn't solve the issue.

What's weird is that when ANC is off (not transparency) there's a low "hum", can hear conversations etc. and when I turn ANC on, the "hum" disappears and that's it, that's the only thing that changes.

I factory reset the buds, repaired with my p8p (running android 17 if that matters), cleaned them (though I was a bit afraid using that amount of micellar water and normal water so I don't know if I should use more cleaning products?) and nothing helped. (the eartips are perfect)

The buds are currently on 5.11.

Does anyone else experienced such thing? Thanks in advance!

3yo Pixel Buds Pro has weird chemical smell and not turning off properly

I bought my Google Pixel Buds Pro 3 years ago and they have been great. However, yesterday they stopped charging for a bit and then they wouldnt turn off even though they were inside the case and shut. I tried cleaning the case and the metal connectors and it seemed to fix the charging issue, but it still wouldn't turn off. Also when plugged in the yellow charging indicator doesn't come on.

Then today I noticed that there was some weird smell coming from the buds and case themselves. It's like a chemical smell almost like super glue. I'm keeping it away from anyone right now worried if it's some battery issue, and I'm probably just going to get some new earpods but any idea what's happening to it?
