So, with the reissues coming complete with demos from Trompe Le Monde/Bossanova/Surfer Rosa days, does anyone know if there are more complete demos in existence from these albums? It would seem odd that these are the only songs in existence - particularly when we have such complete demos from Doolittle.
It was 1989, I had just got into music. One of the first albums I bought on vinyl was 'Doolitle' (because, that booklet is BEAUTIFUL).
Actually the first band I saw live without my parents (Bossanova tour Bradford 1990). Actually the support from noise band barkmarket was first. But Pixies pinned us to the back wall with guitars and screaming.
Only regret is no band ever has ever quite been as good for me (including Pixies lol)

My grandma gave me a nice quality chrome memorex c90 cassette. And on that cassette I recorded a Pixies live set which was broadcast on the BBC in 1989 or 1990.
And it is peak peak Pixies. BBC sound engineers are the best.
Set is all caribou/surfer rosa/doolittle...
But it's NOT the Peel sessions. It's an actual concert (perhaps nottingham but please remember this is 37 years and A LOT has happened in between).
I remember it started with 'Into the White' and it was one of my favourite things ever.
Then things went all CD, and minidisc, then mp3, you know this story.
I want it back, on FLAC.

I am new to Reddit and r/pixies
I can't really emphasise enough how much I love the Pixies.
Their music is the best music I've ever listened to.
I frequently listen to Doolittle and Surfer Rosa.
I just seem to connect deeply with their music and I would like to meet fellow Pixies fans here.
It has been this way since I was 8 years old when I first listened to them on holiday in Malta.
My brother (7 years older than me - he must have been 15 / 16 years old at that time) gave me a tape to keep me occupied, and it was Doolittle.
So, there I was, 8 years old, walking around Malta, listening to Doolittle. It was just incredible.
I'm going to get my own Pixies t-shirt printed as I can't find one I like (just the letters - not the emblem)
