r/pixies

Hi i posted here long time ago about this mix i was making and forgot to update lol.

I made the covers but I'm no graphic designer... regardless not too shabby i think...

So basically when I heard TOTY for the first time I heard like all these climate/flooding themes that I had also previously heard in Pixies songs, so I decided to make this mix which basically would have been a concept album: Thalassocracy set in the distant future, where the climate is wrecked and california is flooded.

First 2 tracks are basically just that, then Los Angeles, Distance Equals Rate Times Time and the Sad Punk represent the protagonist sensing foreboding and wanting to leave.

After this he goes on a roadtrip, where he gets abducted by an alien (Velouria). He learns that aliens had taken over the planet years ago and that he was saved by Velouria. As a desperate attempt, the protagonist crashes the ship but it's too late. He dies watching a giant wave devour the land...

Alright sorry for making it that hard to read and I know it's kinda all over the place but that's why I came here, for suggestions.

thx

I thought if I were to get the best compilation by one of my favourite bands, I might as well splurge on the 2CD set.

Limited edition is you keep something that most fans don’t have. But is this really limited ?

There’s nothing wrong with the CD or the Live CD but the artworks/the inner booklet, oh dear ! 4AD decided to smudge/smear the artworks to make them more… artsy ?
