Looking for help.

Looking for help.

Hi. I learned today that I have a pocket watch in my possession that might be of interest to a collector. Can someone tell be where I can go to find a good home for it? I’ve been told that it’s a watch by Thevenaz C.L. It does not work though.
I am not trying to sell here. I understand it’s against the rules. I’m looking for information.
I will not use EBay.

How do I open it without damaging it?

Inherited from my grandpa many years ago. Just kept it tucked away all these years. all I know about it is that he received it for his retirement.

Question about authenticity/what I have

Blurred out for obvious reasons, but my dad has had this watch since 2000 when he and my mom were over in Romania adopting me and purchased it from venders on the street. He gave it to me as I’m huge into World War II history and artifacts. Not sure what exactly I have though or if it’s real, and am unsure what to be looking for. Attempted to google it but every photo is almost the same but there are other details that this watch doesn’t have. Just looking for advice /pointers!

What do I have here?

Hello friends!

I found this pocket watch while going through my Dad’s belongings after he passed away.

I have no idea where it came from.

The key adjusts the time, but either the movement is frozen or the post the key plugs into is stripped (or both).

The engraved text reads “Hub Bünnagel Bedburg”.

The engraved numbers are both “57712”

The text on the regulator says “Früh” and “Spät”.

The case is most likely not silver because I don’t see any markings that would indicate that, also it’s not tarnished at all.

My guess is that this watch belonged to one of my grandfathers (maybe great grandfather?) but I honestly have no idea.

The engraved horse on the case would make me lean towards my Dad’s father who was from Kentucky. On the other hand, the Canadian 5 cent piece on the chain makes me think it could have been my Mom’s father who was Canadian.

Y’all have any idea?

Seconds hands repair

The second hand has fallen off my Waltham pocket watch. (You can see it by the 8.) What's the best way to repair it? Is it just a friction fit in the hole?

Passed down watch

Today I have been given a pocket watch from my grandpa who passed years ago, I’m just wondering if anyone can give me some contextual information about it and tell me if it’s of any value (p.s. I do realise it would probably won’t be of much value and not expecting it to be)

Inherited Howard David & Dennison

I have been able to find out some good information about this watch like the manufacturer - but does anyone know whereabouts I could get more information? I honestly have no idea if this is a quality piece or super common.
