I've finally caught enough pokemon in Pearl to get Hailey's Mew from My Pokemon Ranch! And it was adamant to boot! Now to feed it poffins and do some contests

A dream come true. All on original hardware and cards. Received the cards shortly before the Bank announcement so time to get to work.

Cream Puff is now officially done with the Gen 3 contests! I meant to made this post a few days ago, but I got busy with real life dogsitting. Now that I'm done with that, I can get back to fictional dogsitting! (after all, Eevee's basically a dog)

Honestly, several of the contests were a lot more difficult than I was expecting, especially the Hyper Rank Cuteness Contest. It took poor Cream Puff THIRTEEN TRIES before he won. You'd think my Jolly little Eevee would be cuter than a Magikarp or Ninjask, but apparently not! I still think he's the cutest tho <3

We still need to get the Champion Ribbon and the Victory Ribbon, but after that we'll be all done with Hoenn! It's kind of weird to imagine that Cream Puff will be my last serious pre-Switch ribbon master, with Bank shutting down and all, but tbh I think that makes me even more determined to finish the challenge. Cream Puff won't just be a ribbon master, he'll be THE ribbon master!

I always found the painting for the smart contest kinda creepy. It reminds me of those creepy chain emails you'd get back in the 2000s. Maybe Gamefreak is mad at me for naming Vulpix after the legally distinct Foxparks.

It's crazy how much faster Gen 3 is when you've done all of the prep already. I still had my winning streaks in the Battle Tower from when I did Feraligatr last year, so those took all of like half an hour (Ruby and Sapphire battle tower NPCs really are braindead) and I had the poffin recipes from last time too so the contests weren't really an issue either, even with a lot of jamming my visual stats were high enough to beat everyone else most of the time. Foxparks managed to get four out of the five paintings, only missing out on the cuteness painting.

Mt. Battle was a slog, but an easy slog. The double Kyogre team I used last time was getting annoying with all of the rain animations, so I used Foxparks with Heat Wave and a Soul Dew Latios with Surf (and by that I mean Latios did all of the work and Foxparks missed every single Heat Wave). This way I was able to get the World Ribbon with all of my other RM candidates too, but they still have work to do in Gen 3.

This little bastard deserves to be tossed into an active volcano. The amount of times he has spammed NVE moves when he has a neutral option available and isn’t choice’d. The amount of times he clicks Choice Scarf EQ when my Metagross is on the field. The amount of times he REFUSES to swap out when his move isn’t affecting anyone but me, his ALLY. The amount of times his second Pokémon has thrown the battle entirely in a 1v1 that should be completely free. I hate this guy. I felt neutral towards him until doing the ribbon master quest, but now I actively despise this man.

At least Buck and Cheryl don’t promise greatness to you when their teams suck. Riley promises the world and then throws it all away while laughing at you.

I decided to bring my other shinys from fire red and give them a ribbon too. Now my zarizard and I are off to do the contests :P
