Cream Puff is now officially done with the Gen 3 contests! I meant to made this post a few days ago, but I got busy with real life dogsitting. Now that I'm done with that, I can get back to fictional dogsitting! (after all, Eevee's basically a dog)

Honestly, several of the contests were a lot more difficult than I was expecting, especially the Hyper Rank Cuteness Contest. It took poor Cream Puff THIRTEEN TRIES before he won. You'd think my Jolly little Eevee would be cuter than a Magikarp or Ninjask, but apparently not! I still think he's the cutest tho <3

We still need to get the Champion Ribbon and the Victory Ribbon, but after that we'll be all done with Hoenn! It's kind of weird to imagine that Cream Puff will be my last serious pre-Switch ribbon master, with Bank shutting down and all, but tbh I think that makes me even more determined to finish the challenge. Cream Puff won't just be a ribbon master, he'll be THE ribbon master!

One day, I was looking through my old Ultra Moon save, when I stumbled upon something unusual: Destroyer the Palkia.

You see, this Palkia isn't mine. I wasn't the one who caught him in a Master Ball. I didn't nickname him, nor did I earn his Alola Champion Ribbon. Destroyer was also 27 levels over his original caught level, a feat that I didn't accomplish either.

So, what exactly does all this mean? It means that someone who once cared about this Palkia gave him away. It means that Destroyer was abandoned :(

It's still crazy to me. Someone deemed Destroyer important enough to catch in a Master Ball, gave him a nickname, leveled him up like crazy, maxed out his EVs, used at least 1 PP Up on him, and got him the Alola Champion Ribbon. And they still traded him away.

Since the original trainer didn't care enough to keep and cherish Destroyer, I will. I've decided that Destroyer is going to be my newest Ribbon Master. He deserves it after all he's been through!

Anyway, it's time for me to send Destroyer to Home. After seven years stuck in the Ultra games, it's finally his time to shine! :)

This is probably the craziest challenge I've ever done. Unown is widely considered to be one of the worst Pokemon when it comes to battling. After all, it only gets a grand total of one move: Hidden Power. Unown, for all intents and purposes, is a terrible Pokemon, so of course I had to use it to beat the strongest trainers in the game! :D

Surprisingly, Diantha wasn't the most difficult battle: Wikstrom was. Klefki's Torment forced P to Struggle every other turn, and Scizor/Aegislash had super effective attacks that could knock P out in a single hit. However, after a lucky break where Klefki never used Torment, and Aegislash used King's Shield on the same turn I used a Full Restore, we finally emerged victorious!

Long story short, P worked hard to get that Kalos Champion ribbon, and now he can wear it with pride :)

I wanted to ribbon master my original 2017 event Lycanroc, Rocket. Unfortunately, I transferred her up to my Violet save years ago, and I never got any of the Alola ribbons on her :(

Instead of moping about it, I decided to try something new. Luckily, I still have several of Rocket's children on my UM save, so after several hours of chain breeding for a beast ball and good IVs, I started my shiny hunt for an Own Tempo Rockruff.

About 487 eggs later, this lovely blue puppy finally shows up! I named her Moonlight, because I hatched her egg at the Altar of the Moon. It seemed like a fitting location for a future dusk form Lycanroc to be born :)

Anyway, I'm gonna go try to get all the Alola ribbons on Moonlight. Hopefully I'll be able to update y'all soon!

In 2017, during my 13th birthday party, a friend gave me the event card for Marshadow as a present. Now, it's 2026, almost 9 years later, and that same Marshadow is now a Ribbon Master!

Needless to say, this Marshadow holds a lot of sentimental value. Marshadow isn't the hardest Pokemon to ribbon master by any means, but this challenge has given me a way to make my birthday Marshadow even more special :)

I want to thank my friend for giving me this Marshadow nearly a decade ago, and to thank all of you for being so supportive! I couldn't have done this challenge without you guys ❤️

I recently started my first playthrough of XD: Gale of Darkness, and I wanted to do something to make my starter special. So I RNG manipulated a shiny!

I took this picture before I nicknamed him, but I ended up calling him Cream Puff, because his golden-white fur looks just like a cream puff lol.

I'm not very far into the game, so we won't be doing Mt. Battle for awhile, but as soon as I get that Earth Ribbon y'all will be the first ones to hear about it!

My New 3DS XL has been extremely slow lately, and it freezes far more than it ever has before. The screen was frozen like this for a whole minute when I tried to enter my friends list. Sometimes, it also freezes for a good 50 seconds when I try to enter a game or power off the console.

I have no clue what the issue could be. I switched my 128gb SD card to a 32gb SD card, thinking the issue might be a corrupted SD card, but my 3DS was still freezing even with the 32gb SD card. I deleted a bunch of games and nothing changed. And, as far as I can tell, the console has the the most recent update (Sys 11.17.0-50U). I did get an error message when I tried to update through both the system settings and recovery mode, but idk if that's relevant or not.

My 3DS has been modded for several years now, and I haven't had any issues whatsoever. The only thing I can think of is maybe I need to update the boot.firm? Hopefully this isn't a sign the hardware's going bad :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I felt like doing something a little out of the ordinary today! That's how I ended up with Otto: a regular Samurott caught in a beast ball, with a ribbon only it's pre-evolutions can obtain :)

The beast ball matches Samurott so perfectly, it looks like it was literally made for him! Plus, I don't think anyone expects to see "Otto of the Distant Past" on a regular Samurott in a beast ball lol
