Im trying to build a team with my favourite Unova Pokemon: Serperior, watchog, simipour, galvantula, chandelure and Gothitelle/swoobat. I dont know how to make them work as i am new to playing showdown. I'd appreciate some suggestions for items and movesets. some of my other favourites include zebstrika and volcarona, if that helps.
btw i dont know which format i wanna play, so i'd take tips on that as well 😄

Or may be i’m just missing the fun of it
So, I’m competing in a friendly league with a fun ruleset. We’re playing S/V Doubles Ubers, but with a few twists. One, we all randomly drew a type we had to base our team around. I got Fire. Two, only one Uber allowed per team. Three, item clause active. Four, closed team sheets.
Won my first two matches quite easily vs Electric and Poison. But I’m up against an unbeaten psychic team and I’m struggling to think of how to reliably beat a Calyrex Shadow/Indeedee F lead. I’m also expecting something like Terra Fighting Armarouge with Aura Sphere and a Gallade with Aqua Cutter in the back somewhere to deal with the obvious Dark spam counterplay.
I’m expecting to see Calyrex and Indeedee lead, with Indeedee for redirection via Follow Me and Astral Barrage spam up front.
I’m currently planning to run a Scarfed Chi-Yu, Incineroar, Gouging Fire, Ho-Oh (my Uber pick), Volcarona and a sashed Ceruledge.
It feels like Chi-Yu is my best bet to lead with to try and take out Shadow Rider early. I’d expect to outspeed it, but Dark Pulse will get redirected. Think I can risk Dark Pulse and something else strong to delete Indeedee and then try to get rid of Calyrex turn 2? Would Snarl and another strong spread move likely be enough to pick up a KO turn one?
Any suggestions or advice to best this lead, or any other clever techs for the matchup would be appreciated. Other options I’ve considered are Houndoom and Ogerpon-Hearthflame, too.

My friend invited me to be the Steel-type Gym Leader on his server. Which Pokémon should I use? I can use any Steel-type Pokémon except Legendary, Mythical, and Ultra Beast Pokémon. Mega Evolution is allowed too.
I created this Archaludon rain team off the top of my head, basing it on teams from Pokémon Champions, so I don't know if it's good for Showdown. I use it in doubles mode, Ubers Gen 9.

Why does showdown puts evs in sp def instead of hp when theres only 2 left? I ran calcs of damage multiple times for a mod Im planning and unless I did it wrong every time HP is better every time. Not only is it flexible, sp def doesnt scale better. If it was defense I would understand, but only if body press was in the moveset. for sp def no reason whatsoever tho...
Anyone having problems connecting to showdown? Tried all the tips and nothing is working.
Whenever I have hopped on this week I have the option to retry or to retry with http but neither work. Looking at other posts apparently it is an issue with certain wifis, but I know that is not the issue as I don't use those wifis. Any ideas how to fix it
Is there any way to do FFA with any pokemon? Some pokemon are illegal in FFA's but my friends and I want to use them. Any solutions?

Opponent gets the lead? They start taunting by chain swapping and never finishing.

Here it is, idk what is going on with the website. I thought it was kind of cool, so I wanted to share.
Hey guys I haven't played showdown in a while, today I logged back into Pokemon showdown and all of the pokemons moves were top of the main screen blocking the view of the battle slightly, it just looks so terrible and awful compared to what it was before. Is there a way to turn it off / back to how it was cus it's genuinely making it horrible to play this game and that sucks.
Does anyone have or would like to participate in a server for more rare metagames like nat dex AG, nat dex AG doubles, nat dex triples, nat dex rotation battle, nat dex NFE, VGC reg F, stuff like that?
