When posts that aren’t what the subreddit for in the slightest are praised

Genuinely left the r/TopCharacterTropes sub because of this. How is it possible that mods are so incompetent?

There are always comments defending the post with their lives and making ridiculous stretches on how it fits the criteria just so that a post they specifically like can stay up.

This also happened on this sub too. So many obnoxious jack-asses started posting things that weren’t fictional characters thwt the moderators literally changed the rules to make it quite literally anything that isn’t hating on a real person. Combine that with the fact that Reddit chuds will come to comment sections if you don’t like a character they do, and it becomes clear that this sub has literally become r/PetPeeves2

Pokemon Muscle and Mania

The world was a regular abode. The Pokemon World as we know it. Peaceful, fun, exciting, everything that anyone could ask for. The Gyms were getting polished, art created, contests coordinated, it was like a utopia. Then... the world started to change. The sky was cracking, light was fading, aritechture collapsing, and through it all was intense, ear-piercing roaring and clashes. The legendary Pokemon Dialga and Palkia were having a monumental showdown. This had happened plenty before of course, but this time... things were much, much different. They were stronger, fiercer, and caused much more collateral damage. The universe was shaking, cracking... about to burst. The two Pokemon's clash ended up sending the world back into the past and breaking most, if not all, modern tech. Decades and centuries of hard work all crumbled to dust and blown away. Gone. Things seemed hopeless... Over the years, humans evolved and gained unique traits and abilities to help them adapt. Powerful psychics from the regular Pokemon world were able to become Mages and Druids in this world. People gained honed senses, becoming exceptional Rangers, Rogues and Monks. Bodies adapted. People chose to strive to become just as battle competent as their Pokemon to stand a better chance of survival, now referred to as Barbarians and Paladins. People learnd to hone in and unlock new craft, unlocking Articifer and Bard as a title for themselves. One brave human of each of these categories but Rogue have become substitutions for gym leaders. Defeating them in battle will grant you with rewards to help strive further. The Great Mage, Archer, Bard, Creator, Juggernaut, Elder, and Knight. How will this story go? Will humans and Pokemon alike replicate the thriving society they once had, or will it all be nothing but a distant memory?

We have a unique combat, catching, training and trading system, as well as some new additions of our own like Help Center Quests.

Pick your starter here, https://nyx-cmd-hi.github.io/FantasyPicker/ and we can get started!

Pokémon Muscle & Mania

Welcome to Pokemon Muscles and Mania! The HT based on medieval Pokemon with a bit of DND insparation. Our main goal is discord RP (strap on in https://discord.gg/c545rCer), but we'll also upload on the subreddit from time to time, although not often.

This is how it works: Using the generator (https://nyx-cmd-hi.github.io/FantasyPicker/) pick a class, and roll for Starter Pokemon from that category. You can reroll if you don't like the three you see on-screen. Each class has its own perks/benefit, as one of the several images on this post.

For clarification, I haven’t given up on Rocket Era. This is just another HT for RP when people are bored. I will still upload posts about it

(Loved trope) The opposite of plot armour: Characters that actively get screwed over by the plot

Mark(Invincible)

He gets beaten to pulps in fights quite a lot, to the point that it’s even been memed about by official YouTube channels (there’s a joke in a teaser for Season 3 where Cecil makes fun of Mark losing to Viltrumites often)

Gen 4 Ash (Pokémon)

Ash Ketchum does have plot armour, but I feel that Sinnoh was the exception. He was put up against some of his most unfair fights. A frontier brain, elite four member, the infamous Paul, and, of course, Tobias. On one of his best runs, he would have beaten the Sinnoh league if not for a mysterious trainer using a Darkrai and Latios, 2 Legendary Pokémon

Self-Destruct buff (might be Sunday material)

I hope this isn’t too broken. The main idea of this was to give Self-Destruct something to seperate it from Explosion but not lead to any of them outright outclassing each other perfectly.

Self-Destruct + Rock Head was the main goal here, with Reckless being included to stay on-theme with the recoil. A 200 BP Phsyical attack that doesn’t have STAB (all the normal type Self-Destructers don’t make sense to have Rock Head and vice versa.), can’t hit anything super effectively, has a type immune to it and 2 types that resist or. Although, a resist doesn’t hurt too much since 200 divided by 2 is 100, still pretty strong

I imagine this combo being used to break stall. Use some setup with Curse (none of these mons get Swords Dans sadly), or just mash it against Blissey/Clodsire

Metagross can 2HKO Tankchomp with this opposed to Zen Headbutts 4HKO

Buffing berries!

Ganlon Berry raising stats by 2 stages could make room for certain Body Press sets, so certain Pokemon won't need to waste a turn boosting defense for Body Press to do the increased amount of damage they'd need.

Salac Berry raising speed by 2 stages effectively doubles the user's speed. Certain slow, bulky Pokemon could become slightly faster in just a moment. For instance, at +2 speed, Tyranitar is able to succesfully outspeed max speed Gholdengo with 0 investment and avoid a potentially fatal Focus Blast, or finishing Make It Rain, then KO with Knock Off (or EQ)

These also work really well with Pokemon with the Simple and Ripen abilities.

The Enigma Berry is now (hopefully) an actual contender with bulky Pokemon. i could maybe see Ferrothorn on rain teams using this? Probably not, Leftovers is too good.

Rowap/Jaboca Berry buff had doubles utility/support in mind. Let's say you have Jaboca Berry and swap into a Fake Out for instance. The opponent is now frailer and could potntially be OHKOed by an attack that wouldn't prior

Pokemon Rocket Era: Day 21

Recently, you've been called up to a meeting. The organization is still working on Pokemon fusion.

Your next mission will be you and your partner fending off oncoming trainers and forces attempting to assist in gathering the materials needed to create the DNA Splicer. As for now, select a biome to head to in the meanwhile to prepare for the next mission. Each biome will have its own trainer, and its own reward for beating them.

(Note: You're picking a biome to head to, you're not gathering the materials yet)

Gotta be the worst MC in all of Glitch

The title is exaggerating but I'm genuinely SOOO fucking frustrated. Seriously, they could have avoided defeat so many times but Kit doesn't lock in! At all!

When Flappers, the Syntax's minions, and Fold get away, Kit blasts once and instead of chasing after them, she just sits there! You can complain about how ass you are at your job AFTER YOU SAVE THE WORLD! Why didn't you keep going after them? Or at least maybe look for Jschlatt???

Oh, and when they finally reach Kaboodle and Snappers, Snappers shoots down a Floatie spying on them.

Jschlatt asks if they were followed, and this BUM says "Yeah, and it gets worse."

THEY KNEW THEY WERE FOLLOWING YOU, AND YOU DIDN'T TURN BACK??? YOU DIDN'T THINK TO TAKE FOLD FROM FLAPPERS????????

I'm leaving out a bunch of other things she did (like not having the main priority of finding the main character even though Syntax was nearby), because she was too focused on finding Jschlatt, but all the other shit just pisses me off.

She also just sucks in combat. The floaties overwhelm her so easily.

She was literally struggling to fight a weaponless, armourless Miss Information despite having arm cannons btw.
