Reddit is much better than any other social media app, and it’s the only one that’s still consistently entertaining. I like how you can discuss all topics here through tons of different subs, find anything with ease on here, and overall it just feels so much above any other social media apps.
I wonder if a guy who is super rich or grew up in a wealthy household would seriously consider dating a girl who’s just middle class. I’d really like to hear actual perspectives from men, especially those who come from wealthy families.
Does financial status matter when choosing someone to date? If it does, is it because of lifestyle differences, family expectations, future compatibility, or something else?
I just wonder whether a big financial gap makes people think twice before pursuing a relationship. Have any of you been in a relationship where there was a significant difference in financial background? How did it work out?
Ok before I turn this into a news story I wanted to ask reddits opinion now I am low income and I just got a free new mattress through cool aid society who got it from sleep country and I know i should be grateful but... I had a little fire mishap and came to realize the inside of my mattress is none other than yellow foam. Even though I should be happy cause I know people who have less but im mad if I knew this was the case I would never have asked for a free mattress. Does it seem wrong that sleep country is covering yellow foam to look like an ordinary mattress? Cause what it seems like to me is that sleep country wanted to look like they were helping but had the idea they could cover yellow foam to appear as if it was an ordinary mattress. It feels like they just wanted to look like they were doing their due diligence but didn't really want to so they tricked us into believing they were real ones. My back is now all fudged up due to the foam and that sleep country only pretends to help those in need. I feel like they ought to be called out on this due to the fact that alot of addicts started their addiction due to falling off a roof, car accidents, etc so these now addicted people are in need of a mattress with support and im sorry yellow foam is anything but supportive. Am I right or does nobody agree with me?
I was asked what I’d like as a housewarming gift from coworkers, friends, and families. I have like every kitchen need, a vacuum, a desk, and now a mattress.
What I need next are a couch and bed frame. But I know not to ask for that.
So I mentioned their fave cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, toilet paper or paper towels, and gift cards to Amazon or target.
I’ve been told by several people who aren’t familiar with each other that what I’ve asked for is trashy, asking for cleaning materials is trashy, etc. I am starting over after an abusive relationship and left with nothing. I’ve stayed with family the past few months to build money and get my shit together again.

How would you feel if you e been seeing a man (28) for a year almost and you are 32, he has a female coworker that joined his construction team shes 19 he then added on social media. Later he mentioned he always gave her lifts from work. I then discovered when he was showing me instagram she daily sends him hindreds of reels. Rexently there was a work party for golf where the teo girls dressed up in golf mini skirts etc they then went back to a coworkers to srink but he came home to me by 9.30 pm. when he came home drunk that day he was scrolling and I saw he had a video of just he swinging in her skirt and a selfie of her and a cat and another pic of her and the other girls then not much else of the boys. In the morning I asked to see his golfing pics and he went all weird and said he had none. He went to toilet and came back and seemed to wanna show me immediately he had none (he had deleted them) about a week later he even offered to show me they didn’t delete from snap chat so if I wanna see them which I denied cos they’re probably different ones. She texts him a lot she’s sent memes saying things jokingly to him like I’m your bear your my kitten and on a recent away trip for work for two weeks she had a nearby separate aparetment but ended up at his apartment hanging at nights aparently due to the guy he was staying with inviting her.
I’ve expressed feelings before cos of the rides and I know what co workers get like and he since unfollowed her on insta but she still sends him reels on there daily too.
Am I crazy? I’ve been betrayed and seen so much coworker stuff on job sites please help give me insight. He also now seems to hide his phone when entering insta messages etc as she prob has sent him something and he’s worried I’d see etc
Seriously, the hypocrisy of these people is so outrageous. Only *they* can take over roles for white, but not the other way around. Why don't these wokes have the courage to do it then? Find some African mythology in Africa, write a story, and then cast only white actors. Are these people even capable of imagination and creativity considering how bigger than normal their head sizes are?
I havent seen a solid meme that I've read back in 2018 in a while, and I think we genuinely need to bring it back, I'd really like it if people would just keep memes like they keep the monthly tiktok trend of dancing cows. I really wished that we would have brought it back, wouldve been so funny. Everything now is just reaction gifs and random stuff that really doesnt make sense to me, even though yeah, I was 2010. It would give me really good nostalgia because back in my day, yes I would laugh for hours from one meme. It was really relatable for me, and I really loved those kind of memes. But when I got older, the more I rarely saw memes. They turned into gifs and whatnot.
so the other day I was watching this video of how 2000s era had the best games but in the video the guy blames gay LGBTQ2+ Jewish people and white women and it kind of felt like someone trying to raise blames towards people who can be at fault but thkis does not mean you completely trash them, see when i was a kid i also watched vids of people completely hating gay or lgbtq2+ people and felt so happy and proud but as i matured i realized that who are we to judge them i also have faults but why just hate on them and slowly my anger and hatered went away and i started respecting their space and what i thoink is that we see or show these people in a very dark light by calling only the stupid ones on podcasts so people can rage on them.

..(Extreme mountaineering, BASE jumping, wingsuit flying…), the more I feel that many of them share the same personality traits. The pattern keeps repeating itself. They often come across as deeply arrogant. They talk as if they belong to some kind of elite, as if they’re somehow above fear, above death, and, in many cases, above everyone else. They watch friends die over the years, yet instead of reaching the obvious conclusion that the sport itself is incredibly unforgiving, they almost always explain it the same way: “He made a mistake,” “She made the wrong decision,” “I would never have done that.” Every time they survive, it reinforces the belief that they’re different, smarter, more capable.
I also see a huge amount of egocentrism. Everything revolves around their experience, their climb, their jump, their story. Even the death of a teammate often ends up becoming another chapter in the story of how they made it out alive.
What I find especially striking is mountaineering. Everyone seems to be “brothers” until someone can no longer continue. Then they’re left behind. I know the usual explanation: tactical decisions, impossible rescues, the death zone. Sometimes that’s undoubtedly true. But I still can’t understand what kind of mindset accepts a sport where leaving a friend behind is considered part of the game. To me, that says something about the culture surrounding it. When your personal goal becomes more important than the person next to you, something has gone seriously wrong.
I don’t see much camaraderie. I see a silent competition. They all claim they’re only competing with themselves, yet they’re constantly measuring who climbed the hardest route, who flew the closest to the wall, who opened a new line, who pushed the limit further than anyone else. The only difference is that, in this competition, the loser doesn’t finish second. The loser dies.
Then come the interviews and the heroic narrative. They’re often presented almost as heroes. I don’t see heroism in voluntarily risking your life for a goal that benefits no one but yourself. Meanwhile, you leave behind devastated families, friends who have to bury you, rescue teams that risk themselves trying to recover you, and sometimes complete strangers who end up finding your body in a public place.
To me, that world seems to reward extreme narcissism. The more dangerous the achievement, the more attention it receives. The closer you get to death, the more interviews, sponsorships and admiration follow. Recklessness starts being confused with courage, and danger with merit.
My impression is that many of them have an overwhelming need to feel exceptional. And when someone has to keep gambling with their own life just to feel like they’re somebody, maybe the real problem isn’t the mountain.
Maybe they’re trying to fill something that never stays filled, when you need to g*mble with your life over and over just to feel alive, maybe you’re not running from death. Maybe you’re running from yourself.
Every other company is using the business model these days of deceptive auto-renewal subscriptions. It's basically theft. These losers can't actually make a product that provides value so they sell you useless trash services and cross their fingers that you'll accidently forget to cancel your subscription. It is so pathetic, I don't know why it is allowed. I am imagining all these guys as being your stereotypical "entrepreneur bro" type smh.

Children whose parents are murdered are emotionally traumatized, stigmatized, and deeply scarred for their entire life. They often have debilitating issues through life and struggle the rest of their life.
the internet would be, like, 3% better if all ads could be reported. it's only the ads I don't see an option to report that are the malicious ones. the ones I *can* report are just normal - annoying, sure, but not actively harmful especially to the naive and technologically-illiterate. People that don't know any better and people who are desperate or curious are the ones clicking the malicious ads.
sure, I could contact the website owner or the brand or company or whoever and bring it to their attention, but more than likely that will simply be ignored or they won't be able to do anything about it. plus, this just isn't viable to be doing every time I notice a malicious ad. ad reporting is built-in for a lot of ads, it ought to be required for every ad.
thusly if all ads were required to be reportable, that would probably cause at least some website owners to actually verify the ads they're using.
and again, this is just an opinion and I am not a developer nor a website owner. this is an opinion from using the internet.
