Why was Dash from The Incredibles designed to only be 4 feet tall?

So according to Pixar sources, Dash from The Incredibles is a 10 year old boy. However his height is only listed to be 4 feet. Considering that 4 feet is well below the average height of a 10 year old boy pretty much anywhere in the world and most certainly in the United States, why did the designers of the Incredibles decide to make him so short?

Why does Count Olaf's disguise of Gunther in the Ersatz Elevator and Madame Lulu share the characteristic of using a fake foreign accent and using the word please at the end of their sentences?

So in The Ersatz Elevator, Olaf disguises himself as Gunther a foreign auctioneer that has a fake foreign accent and uses the word please (incorrectly) at the end of all of his sentences. But why later in the series does Madame Lulu also share the characteristic of having a fake foreign accent and using the word please incorrectly in her sentences?

Officially have achieved getting a 4-figure number of gems in the game (and over 1000 as well)!

I just achieved getting a four figure number of gems in the game for the first time after playing in the Tower of Fortune (and getting lucky this time around I’d say)!

Why do you think the fake Moody actually taught his students so many useful things?

So in the Goblet of Fire, the Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher is Professor Moody (who turns out to not actually be Moody). But in the book, it is mentioned and shown that he teaches his students so many useful and important things throughout his year as a teacher. Considering he was an direct ally to Lord Voldemort, why do you think he still chose to teach his students so many useful and important things anyway?

Is it weird for me to drive on a road that I've never been on before for simple curiosity on what the road will be like to drive on?

So I have recently gotten my drivers' license and there is a road that I have heard being mentioned before a little that I drive passed when I am driving to one of the most frequent places I've driven to ever since getting my license. I am curious to learn what driving on the road would be like since I've never been on that road before in my life or seen it. So overall what do you think-Would it be weird for me to take a drive on that road or not?

Gen Zers that are legally old enough to drink in their country, did you drink on the first day that you became legal or not? Gen Zers that are not yet old enough to legally drink in your country, do you plan on drinking as soon as you become legal?

Just wondering whether Gen Zers in this subreddit that are old enough to legally drink in their country had their first legal drink as soon as they could or not considering that Gen Z is drinking less than previous generations. I myself am an ‘08 born and was born in South Korea but live in the United States and will thus not become legal to drink here until 2029 (though would become legal starting at the start of next year in South Korea) so I don’t really know if I will have my first legal drink here on my 21st birthday or not.

Curious to learn if there are 7 room levels in the game?

So I have been playing Angry Birds 2 for years at this point and have officially completed over 2000 levels in the game (currently at nearly #2400 actually). But I do not remember and do not believe that I have encountered any 7 room levels yet (though I have faced and completed many 6 room levels at this point). So overall I am wondering if anyone here has encountered and maybe even beat a 7 room level in this game!

What percentage(s) would you consider to be a small, moderate and large minority?

So a minority of something is strictly speaking less than half or 50%. And in my opinion, I would split up the different possible minority percentage amounts like this-

Small minority: Anything below 20%
Moderate minority: Between 20 and 35%
Large/big minority- Over 35% to 49.99%

Why are many Gen Z teenagers (even 18 & 19 year olds) showing a generational trend of being less interested in learning how to drive and getting their drivers’ licenses compared to previous generations?

So the number/proportion of teenage drivers in the United States has shown a significant decrease compared to the 80s and 90s with only about a quarter of 16 year olds having gotten their drivers’ license and even for 18 and 19 year olds as well (only about 60% of 18 yos have gotten a license and just under 70% of 19 yos have gotten their license). But what exactly is the reasoning behind this Gen Z trend of being less interested in getting a drivers’ license as a teenager compared to previous generations?

What is the point of zero tolerance policies, rules and laws when no one or nothing is or can be factually perfect?

I have wondered for a long time why zero tolerance policies, rules and laws even exist especially considering that no one or nothing can be factually perfect and personally think of them as being overly strict/draconian in general (you break the rule, policy or law just one time and you get smacked with severe consequences even if you weren’t aware of it or if it was a genuine accident).

2000 borns, how do you feel about being born in your birth year and why?

So I am a 2008 born meaning that I was born in the late 2000s. But I have for a while now wondered what being born in the early 2000s (or simply in 2000) would’ve been like and how it would’ve changed my overall life. So I am curious to learn what different people born here in 2000 think about being born in that year (and honestly early 2000s are fine as well).

Why does the drivers’ license that I recently received in the mail explicitly state the year I turn 18 on it below the DOB section of it when I am already 18 (Turned 18 earlier this year)?

So I was born in 2008 and recently passed my road test and got my first ever drivers’ license! However it recently came in the mail and I took a look at it and it says at the bottom below my DOB the years I turn 18 and 21 on it. However I already turned 18 earlier this year. So why does it still have the year I turn 18 on it when I already turned 18?

* I live in NC btw

Is anyone here like me or was like me on my sudden urge to become a licensed driver as an 18 year old male?

So I am an 18 year old guy that is about to graduate from HS and ever since my last few months of being 17 or so, I have gotten a sudden urge/want to become a licensed driver/to get my license. I took drivers’ Ed back in my sophomore year and had recently turned 16 when I got my permit. However for the first bit of my time with my permit, I wasn’t very interested at all in driving as well as fairly nervous about it. But now suddenly I am the complete opposite! (I drive a lot of places and even volunteer to drive sometimes) I’ve tried the road test but unfortunately failed it due to nerves and an overly strict instructor (I also have dyspraxia and a bit of autism).

In the states where drivers’ ed is not required for minors, how do minors learn how to drive before getting their learners’ permits/drivers’ licenses (United States)?

So in 32 states, drivers’ ed is required for all teens under 18 that wish to learn how to drive before they can get their learners‘ permits and eventually their drivers’ licenses. But in the other 18 states, how does the process of getting your permit/drivers’ license work?

Should I hang out or try to hang out with this sophomore guy outside of school or not?

So I am a senior and there is this sophomore guy that I met a few months ago. I met him when he invited me over to his lunch table which I was happy to be since I’m not very noticed or acknowledged at my school in general. Anyway, I got to know him and learn about him and his personality is so admirable/great (he’s an outgoing, very socially confident, friendly and tuff guy). I’ve been back regularly to eat lunch with him since and we follow each other on IG and communicate there frequently. Anyways, I really admire his personalty and I’ve even given him the nickname Mr. Tuff, which he seems to like. I am wondering what other people here think about me trying to hang out with him outside of school.

Why do most high schools not allow sophomores with their license to park on-campus and restrict parking passes/spots to juniors and seniors when most students turn 16 during their sophomore year?

So I am 18 and have been learning to drive/practiced driving for a while now (I think I got my permit when I was 16). As a result of all this practice and me wanting more independence, I decided to book a road test to once and for all get my license. However when the instructor finally called me for my road test, I was feeling really nervous and my body was full of anxiety (I have dyspraxia and type 1 autism. I think this is what caused me to make driving mistakes (I wasn’t looking over my shoulder enough when backing out of the parking spot and I didn’t stop at a crosswalk) as well as that I was at first confused about what the instructor was asking me to do. I was feeling disappointed by how my performance ended up going especially since I would’ve gotten my full license if I had passed (not just my restricted license) since I am 18. Does anyone here (16+) have any advice for me to make it more likely that I pass my road test on my next attempt (I live in NC)?
