Behold, my pride and joy!

Took some effort, but I’m pretty stoked with how it turned out! I’m a sucker for old Japanese cards, so when I found a playset of hippies, I couldn’t say no. That led me down a rabbit hole that culminated into going full black border and splurging on Japanese Mishra’s Factories. Black bordered JP Glooms are already in the mail. The basics were a bit of a hurdle, but I managed to snag the first 11 very affordably.

Oh yeah, the deck is also a ton of fun to pilot. Lots to learn, but I’m winning some games already.

Help me pick my next paper deck (based on my roster)

I’m looking for my next paper deck, and would love it to complement the rest of my decks with being a breath of fresh/new air. I’m not exactly building a battlebox but I like a collection I can use with friends who visit and which makes me try new things.
I usually build all old border or some interesting aesthetic way, flavor is hig part of why I’m in mtg and premo.

Thought maybe this ask could tickle some of you!

My current decks:
- BG Contamination (Alvaro version, love it. I’m a mono black main at heart, and I have already enough black staples to build clerics, the rock, moneyball, and a bunch of others)
- B Fattyball (really version of moneyball with Grinning demon and others)
- WU Landstill
- hFEB (still learning it, so much fun!)
- UG madness (I really love this, such a fun deck to play, if only it was a bit stronger)

Wishes/bonus for next deck suggestions:
- Introducing new colors (R) or such I play rarely
- Tier 1 or close to it, my meta is quite sweaty though I love t2 kitchen table as well
- Introducing new gameplay
- Fun to play and play against
- I already have landstill, and don’t want more sloooow control. Faster control is ok, red ponza looks fun for example
- Not incredible expensive

Hard limitations for next deck:
- I don’t like proxying so I don’t want to have to pick up crazy expensive cards like dreadnoughts, sanctums, cradles and moxes

Some decks I’ve been eyeing:
- Sligh, goblins or red ponza
- Psychatog (B, I know.. but still, it’s fun)

Mono Green Landstorm

Nature themed land deck. I wanted to keep the nature theme as much as I could but Horn of Greed is too good to pass up. Play a ton of lands, fog as much as possible, win via Natural Affinity or a stormed Hunting Pack.

How would R/G Aether Rift do in current meta?

Long time pauper player here and premodern looks like a great format to continue enjoying Magic.

I really like playing off meta/lesser known decks that can still put out a fight. Stumbled into this deck built around [Aether Rift] which I haven't really seen much discussion about, looks interesting and doesn't feel very janky, however I'd love to know the insight of players that are familiarized with the meta.

Hello again, today we’re talking about CANTIVORE — the budget dream with Fluctuator, Astral Slide, Lightning Rift.

Today I’m showing you a crazy deck you’ve probably never seen before. It has flaws, but I think you’ll forgive them.
The core goal is to use CANTIVORE. In my view this isn’t possible with Oath of Druids, both for space issues and simply because it’s heavily outclassed by Terravore.
The path to take is the one with the Runes from Urza’s Saga and of course Fluctuator.

The next step is finding other win conditions: this isn’t a control deck, so instead of relying on Lightning Rift, I found STOIC CHAMPION.
Lightning Rift is still there, as a piece to fetch with Enlightened Tutor, four copies.
Extra copies of Fluctuator are dead cards, so: 4 Tutors, 3 Fluctuators.

Main‑deck tutor targets: Seal of Cleansing and — drum roll — Grafted Skullcap. Excellent for kickstarting the cycling chain.
And how could Astral Slide be missing? Only one copy, but it has several jobs: first of all it protects your creatures, it also removes blockers, and of course it basically kills Phyrexian Dreadnought.

Three Swords to Plowshares in the maindeck — I’d say that’s enough when you draw this much. Space is extremely tight!
Twenty Runes, cycling lands, rejoice people!

4 Cantivore
4 Stoic Champion
3 Fluctuator
1 Astral Slide
1 Lightning Rift
3 Swords to Plowshares
4 Enlightened Tutor
1 Grafted Skullcap
4 Rune of Protection: Red
4 Rune of Protection: Black
4 Rune of Protection: Artifacts
4 Rune of Protection: Green
4 Rune of Protection: White
1 Seal of Cleansing
4 Battlefield Forge
4 Drifting Meadow
3 Smoldering Crater
7 Plains

Sideboard
2 Lightning Rift
3 Tormod's Crypt
1 Sacred Ground
1 Phyrexian Furnace
1 Seal of Cleansing
2 Aura of Silence
1 Swords to Plowshares
2 Cursed Totem
1 Sphere of Resistance
1 Presence of the Master

I’m not sure the land count is correct. Optimizing a deck is collective work. Secluded Steppe, Blasted Landscape, the fourth Smoldering Crater… maybe Secluded Steppe.

The dream start?
Turn 1 even a tapland is fine (or maybe Enlightened Tutor for Fluctuator).
Turn 2 Stoic Champion.
Turn 3 Fluctuator, cycle around ten cards. Swords to Plowshares on the blocker, attack.

The sideboard is easy to figure out, maybe it can be improved. I don’t know how much Defense Grid helps against blue. Maybe Red Elemental Blast or Abeyance.
Truthfully, if the deck doesn’t resolve Fluctuator, it’s in quite a bit of trouble.

These two things are what need improvement. In any case, it’s a bomb to play if you want to have fun!

Here I’m also leaving the link to the video: https://youtu.be/7YvBDEkE1-g
Previously I showcased Wizards with Patron Wizard, and I’m trying to put together decks with Saproling Cluster (and many others). Waiting to get back to showing some games again.

ThrabenU oath ponza list

Nice oath ponza list without moxes that was undefeated 4-0. Can be considered 5-0 with last opponent conceding barely into the match

New to Oath Parfait, Is this a deck worth sinking time into?

Decklist below.
I just played this deck for the first time at FNM and honestly it felt great, albeit slow[read:inevitable]. First game was a loss v Alluren 0-2, not great, but I was still figuring out the deck and had to mull to 5 game 2. Next game was a draw v Sligh, but I would have won game 3 if not for time. Last game v monowhite weenie which I won 1-0 for time. The time equity of this deck seems like it would be terrible for a format unless you can absolutely lock in game 1 each time.

The playstyle of the deck is pretty dope, inevitable draw engine, always able to draw out of problems, capable of presenting game ending threats. HOWEVER you have to make so many decisions and micro decisions and ridiculously long game macro decisions. I'm not sure if this is a better control deck, though gaea's blessing loops seem great.
