so i was playing on my ps3 shut down the console went out then i come back to the console not booting up and the red light flashing since i did the undervolting mod a while ago i just connected the syscon stuff again showed the errorlog and it gave me this is my rsx dead?

My COBRA PS3 has suddenly started having issues connecting to the internet over both wired AND wireless internet. It cannot see any networks over WiFi, even open-security networks just a foot away. Over wired, it cannot even get an IP address. I tried manually entering an IP address, which seemed to work (Reported successful when getting an IP address and an internet connection, but failed when connecting to PSN), but then I got the 80710102 DNS error whenever trying to connect to the internet. So I tried manually entering various known-good DNS addresses like 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, 1.1.1.1, etc., but I still got the same error. Even in the web browser, I get that DNS error. Is there anything I can do, or is there something more fundamental wrong with my PS3?

This is long story short. I had to borrow a laptop last night for a bit. I used Rufus to format it and the mbr.

I've put the cfw update on it.

I will use the ps3tool.com tutorial to do the flash dump. And then the update via the safe mode. That's it? I don't need a laptop for anything else right?

I just bought a CECHK (NOR) already running the latest Evilnat CFW. I'd like to replace the internal HDD with a larger one.

My plan is to install the same Evilnat NOR PUP (same version) on the new drive.

Two questions:

Which .pkg files are essential to reinstall afterwards?

If something goes wrong, can I just put the old HDD back and have everything as it was?

Setup: PS3 on HFW with regular PS3HEN (not 4K Pro), main PSN account (also used on PS5 and Vita).

What I did: I edited the timestamps of ONE game (41 trophies, platinum included) with PS3TrophyIsGood. Dates are plausible: spread over about 10 days, realistic gaps between trophies (copied from real runs), nothing in the same minute, no round seconds, platinum last. I synced it on Sept 30, 2026: reboot, didn't enable HEN, signed in, synced, signed out. I did NOT use R2+Triangle / disable syscalls before that sync (I installed webMAN afterwards) The game shows up fine on my profile.

Background: on my Vita I've had edited trophies synced on this same account since and edited trophy’s in 2025 with 2016 timestamps, no issues.

What I'm considering: a few more games over the next months, about one sync a month, always under 100 trophies per sync, with R2+Triangle first.

Questions, I'm only looking for real experiences, not guarantees:

1. Has anyone been banned or flagged after syncing edited (but plausible) timestamps on a MAIN account? How long after the sync?
2. Any evidence Sony checks timestamps, pace or level jumps, or is it just "hacked trophies get flagged" folklore?
3. Is a simple reboot without HEN enough before signing in, or do I really need R2+Triangle first? Do PTL.TMP / MI.TMP survive a reboot?
4. Anyone had a ban months or a year after a sync?
5. Is there a volume or spacing between syncs that people consider safe?

I know this post might be removed but you can only watch so many videos and read articles about it, I recently got a ps3 to mod but I was wondering if there are any tips from people who already have done it as this is the first time I'm ever trying it on a ps3..

I already have done an Xbox 360 (softmodded only), Wii and Ps Vita and it only makes sense to try the PS3.

and the PS3 is sitting on version 4.86 and the serial number ends in 21xxA.

Alright so I'm in a bit of a pickle here, I bought a ps3 off of ebay few months ago, laser lens works great, everything works fine, only problem is apparently it has a hardware issue where the wifi/Bluetooth do not work, I found out when I tried to update it and almost risked bricking it, anyway, I want to mod it, but my system firmware is 4.55, and obviously I can't update to a newer version, is there a way I can mod my ps3?

Ciao ragazzi,ho una Ps3 Slim su cui ho messo Evilnat,ma vorrei sostituire il disco da 320gb con uno da 2tb che ho in casa e non mi serve.
Come si può fare? C’è qualche metodo? Ho provato a ridurlo fino a 1tb ma la play dice sempre che non è compatibile .
