Thanks to this group for putting me onto Turbine Collector Series 3D blurays

They have some great conversions that aren’t readily availble in the UK so to find that there are other countries like Japan and… Germany? That still show 3D some love is fantastic!

Using Direct11 causes stutter in HDR

Ok so this is a little odd but here goes. I am on WIN11. I have a lot of encoded 1080p HDR films. When playing them in Direct11 renderer the footage seems a little stuttery. It's not crazy amounts but enough that it does make the film look bad. When I switch the MadVR the stutter goes but the colours are a tad duller. So I either have nice bright colours in Direct11 (but with stutter) or use MadVR but the brightness is a tad duller. Is there a best of both worlds?

Not sure what settings I should be using in Direct11 but surely it shouldn't be causing the video to be a bit choppy?

PIP assessment in June (first timer), not sure what to expect.

Hello I am about to have my first ever PIP assessment in June and not sure what to expect. I applied because I have had a diagnosis of MS for 13 years but was always too scared to apply (because I read the application 8 years ago and it made me feel terrible about even asking). So I avoided it but now I feel is the time to try again and follow through with actually applying. I did fill out all the questions and basically wrote an essay, being fully frank and honest about my disability. Tried not to let male pride get in the way. I have MS (scars in the brain and spine) which has all the things you get with it, Extreme fatigue, brain fog, memory lapses, nerve pain, weak bladder, weak hip, drop foot (which I need an ankle harness to walk), balance issues (I use a step and support handle in the shower), difficulty walking for long, extreme tiredness after doing any activity including getting dressed, showering etc I also suffer from big migraines including visual migraines and occasional crossed image signals in the brain meaning the images from both eyes can get crossed over and confused in the brain. I did put this all down and tried to quantify times and regularity of occurrences where possible.

I also have residual vertigo from two extreme bouts I had in 2019 and 2021 (2nd time ended up in hospital as couldn't keep medication down) and I have an underactive thyroid.

Well now, I have my assessment via phone at the start of June and have never had to do this before so kinda nervous tbh

Any advice on what to expect would be great especially from people who have had it recently. Obviously you all likely have had a mix of positive and negative but mostly looking for what to expect and any words of encouragement are appreciate too!

Why is the screen do damn good?

I mean compared to more expensive sets like the Xreal one pro? The text is easier to read for certain. I think the Xreal uses Sony oleds. What does the Rayneo use?

AIR 4 Pros firmware update error! Not bricked but damn close to being. No options or menus etc

Hi I tried to update my air 4 pros via the ota.rayneo site. It froze, did nothing for an hour and now when I try to access the menu in my glasses it won't show up and trying to repair via the ota site fails everytime. Now I can't control my glasses nor repair them via the site. I can't change volume, brightness, switch to 3d or anything! I tried chrome, opera and edge. none worked on two different computers.

UPDATE: I FIXED IT! So I decided to re-open my opera browser and then turned on the free VPN in the browser. I then clicked the repair button and... it worked. Everything is back now. What a terrible site. I'd recommend Rayneo take it down as it has clearly caused this problem for a lot of other people too.

I have an IPD of 64-66 roughly but all the settings on the glasses are -/+ 1-6. How is that helpful?
